The best part for me in this scene is he was asked about how he handled his biz with violence and he thought of bashing that barber if not for that reporters question. He saw rmthe blood and controlled it lile smart politicians would do and convert it to humor later. Just to prove he is not violent.... brilliant. It bothered me when Deniro came out at that Hollywood awards thing and said F Trump. Not for any political reasons, just from being almost 54 and watching his acting genius all my life. Godfather 2, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and on and on. But I don't sweat it I think if you have been an actor for 55 years (most of your life), it's just a different world than most of us have. I also like him cuz he's "real" tough, not fake. He was Jake La Mata in 1979-80 when he was making that. As tough as Jack Nicholson was crazy while making the Shining at that same time. I've read that Capone was only 28 at the peak of his power. DeNiro is 44 here in 1987, but still a stellar performance.

It bothered me when Deniro came out at that Hollywood awards thing and said F Trump. Not for any political reasons, just from being almost 54 and watching his acting genius all my life. Godfather 2, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and on and on. But I don't sweat it I think if you have been an actor for 55 years (most of your life), it's just a different world than most of us have. I also like him cuz he's "real" tough, not fake. He was Jake La Mata in 1979-80 when he was making that. As tough as Jack Nicholson was crazy while making the Shining at that same time. Two brilliant performances!!
