Scottoiler xSystem 3.0 FITTED to Aprilia Tuareg 660 - Plus Win a vSystem!!

- Join me as I install the Scottoiler xSystem 3.0 electrical chain oiling system on to my Aprilia Tuareg 660.
The xSystem from Scottoiler automatically switches on and off as the bike used, so no shameful puddles of oil from forgetting to turn the oiler off when you park up outside your favourite coffee establishment!
What’s more, Scottoiler have given me an Anniversary vSystem chain oiler to give away to one lucky viewer!
The question is in the video. All you have to do is write your answer in the comments and I will reply to every correct answer with a number. In about a month I will then feed those numbers into a random number selector and one winner will be chosen! I’ll announce the winner in a RUclips Short, here on the channel. SO watch this space!

Hi Andy! The correct answer is 40 years.
I'm a big fan of the Scottoiler systems for about 10 years now. Unfortunately, the V System I have installed on my bike had somehow broke down recently after 3 years of use and made a big mess on the back of the bike letting out around half of reservoir of oil in the past 1000 km.
Jeez, 40 years of Scottoiler already... Looks like a very nice system, especially the drip-only-when-moving part of it. No more puddles! That Tuareg is a nice bike and seems like the perfect bike for some offroading. Maybe some day... For now I am still on my VFR800 though and happy with it!

I'd probably put it on my Triumph Street Triple Rx, my CCM Spitfire Scrambler just doesn't do enough miles to warrant putting it on that. Oh, and I'd be riding around the Lakes, Dales & North Pennines, giving it a ruddy good test.

I will also add that was one of the very first buyers- I phoned Mr Scott in his bedroom, then I sent a PO for a unit. Fitted one to my FZ750, this was back in the day.
Scotttoiler celebrating 40 years and I have used various versions of the Scottoiler for 20 of those. Hopefully 2025 will be a new bike year for me so it would be going on something lightweight as I'm 78 next year and my Triumph Tiger is getting a bit heavy for me now.

I have Scottoilers on all my bikes. Wouldn't go without it.
Tried all of them, the one in your vid on my T700 from new. Didn't fare too well. I firstly found it very chunky, hard to find a suitable mounting point. Secondly, it developed a crack around the outlet nossle of the oiler. Ignored it for a while but the whole bottom bit fell out in the end. Not sure why that was. Brittle plastic? Might have been the off roading, being knocked at some stage, etc. Scottoiler are very good at helping out but I just did not want that one anymore. Replaced it with the 'Original'. No more issues since.
Also use the soft reservoirs for touring and holidays. Brilliant. Just fill once and forget about it.

I would fit it to my Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, sadly it will not be in time for my trip to the Picos planned for the middle of September. But work a treat for my camping trip to Wales in October as it's always wet and would be good to keep the chain well lubed.

Typical,,,,just finished messing around putting mine on today in about 4 hours and saw this video just now. I placed the reservoir at the first place you mentioned. You can pull 2 tie wraps trough the plates if you loosen the nut of the plates a little and fix it with those.
I think in your location it might be in the way or rub against your leg while riding.
Never knew about those holes in the swingarm,,that's a perfect sollution wish I had seen this before.
But 2 bottles in the pack? Either I got screwed or you got an extra for promotional reasons, I only got 1.
Also if people want to win the V system, know that's a different system than this one, that one has to by plugged into the vacuum system of the engine,,less easy than the X system.

That's a very clean and shiny bike Andy! Have you considered a shock sock? It seems like it could help prevent the hose (or a loose bung) from getting into the shock when things loosen up or the clip fails..

I would put it on my pretty Honda cb500 from 1978. Why the heck nottery?
Tip, Turn the nozzle around zo the edge bit that now faces outside faces the sprocket. Do NOT let the nozzle touch the sprocket. By doing it this way as soon as a drop of oil comes out, it will touch the sprocket and be taken to the chain. And there is no way the nozzle can ever melt because it doesnt touch.
