- In this video Terry from Jafffa Adventures installs LED headlights and sequential DRL into his Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series. These LED Headlights and sequential DRL's are a bolt in replacement for the entire factory light unit. How did the installation go, how does the luminosity compare, and what is the longevity like for this LED headlight units? All will be detailed in the video.

By sheer coincidence I have only just finished installing the exact same lights in my '10 200 this weekend. I can confirm that the fit is superb as too is the light output! Took 4 hours to install with a Rhino bull bar. And they have really transformed the look of the vehicle. Longevity TBC .

Great to see the mod on. I've got a pair on already. Don't they look brilliant! I've run into a bit of trouble with them, the right high beam went on the blink. Still going through warranty.

They have now done the flinders, Simpson desert, Tanami, and the Gibb. They have been shaken to bits over thousands of corrugations and drowned under bonnet deep water. Still going strong. Cheers👍😎

Hi mate. These lights look great. I have read a few comments saying they are only for left hand drive vehicles. Is this an issue or not really?
I have found no issues at all. No on coming flashing, no difficulty seeing.
I’m on a 15,000km trip ATM where they are getting hammered on dirt roads and corrugations.

Thanks for the kind works, that means a lot. The light spread and distance is very complimentary to other road users. I have not been flashed yet, unless I’ve accidentally left the high beams on of course. As far as any compliance with ADR’s or otherwise, I cannot comment as it was not a factor in my determination to use them. Cheers😎👍
Hi Terry, I always enjoy watching your projects. I was thinking of getting a set of these a few months ago. I noticed you had the lens protectors on the old set, much like myself. Do the lens protectors not fit with the new headlights? Also do you know if they can be set as daytime running lights on the 2008's?

Definitely not cheap, but I’m a sucker for cool looking mods (although cool is in the eye of the beholder)👍😎

Also you can get a headlight resto kit from toyota that by all accounts is quite effective.

Thanks Ian, I appreciate your feedback. Aesthetic mods are certainly individual, no doubt about it. My original lenses were perfect, it was just that my HID replacement failed and I used that as a catalyst for a change 👍😎

The lights are still going strong Adrian, and the night vision is excellent (and I don’t get flashed by oncoming traffic). The fog lights are simple ones I picked up off epray over a decade ago. I just measured the diameter of the originals and searched epray for the same diameter in LED. They have never missed a beat and I’ve lost count of the number of water crossings where they have been submerged. Cheers😎👍

Not sure what you are referring to Grahame, I don’t know a Pat. What I do know is that I’m an individual and run my own race. It either gels with you or it does not. If not, that’s cool, plenty of others out there delivering content👍

You misinterpreted what I wrote. Pat Callinan goes by the name Mr 4x4 and does Tv shows driving 4wds around Australia. He ends every show with the same line as you: “Keep the shiny side up”. It’s unusual that you and he use the same line without knowing each other.

Your sign off at the end also makes me cringe, as it reminds me of Pat Callinan, also known as Mr 4x4, also known as Mr Boring.... he's been signing off with that line for decades now. He started with 4wdrive action, then went out on his own. He does very cringy videos for me, mainly cause he fake laughs while talking and it does my head in... I cant watch him...😖

When you bought them dd you have to specify a LHD or RHD set?
Good one, that should fool many.
@@brianwalker1933 It’s actually a “thing”. Lights for LHD vehicles will have the right hand light angled towards the roadside verge in those countries so the driver can see possible hazards. On a RHD vehicle, that light will be angled towards the drivers of oncoming vehicles. Not good.
No I did not have to specify, but that does not mean LHD and RHD are the same. I do note driving at night the lights are aimed as I view as appropriate, and no oncoming cars are flashing me. Cheers👍😎

Whatever happened to simplicity?
Easy access to remove and replace headlights is no longer considered within "design parameters."
If I was just replacing the bulbs it would be a piece of piss, but I went the whole hog👍
What about that single wire between the 2 lights?
Contacted the manufacturer and they said it’s not used. I said this in the video👍
