A soft voice told him it wasn't too late to change his mind and that this paradise could be his if he stopped and laid his trouble before Christ (he was atheist). He decided to remain on earth and the voice told him it would be ok and that he was loved. He is now a believer and is convinced God took him beyond the veil, for a brief moment, in order to save him.
