@@StubbyNozzleCo I reviewed it and its does quite well and packs a punch for such a small form factor being only slightly bigger than a drill.. If you could use that or a Ryobi 730 then there is no comparison at all and the 730 will blow it away. It is also has a very loud and high pitched sound which is its only real downfall. It is the best compact out there though.

Super useful video, objective comparisons and data-driven results. Awesome work! I was disappointed to see how poorly the Milwaukee blowers performed as I already have a few of their brand tools
Ryobi seems like a great tools on paper but when tested the last thing you want is decreased performance as the battery life dwindles..starts off strong then the performance just gets worse and worse then the battery dies, no thanks. The consistency of the Milwaukee is worth the price.

QUESTION: I have 3 Milwaukee M18 batteries but only the 5ah ones. Worried your testing of the Milwaukee single showed only 2.5 CFM compared to others about double or more than double that and therefore I believe the drying performance or speed of drying a vehicle will take double the time comparing to others in the 700CFM range. Are there micro water droplets left behind that wont get blown off? have a feeling if you use a leaf blower to dry your whole car your almost gonna need to towel dry the whole thing because of that..debating whether i want to go down that route..taking a small gauntlet and drying some spots isnt a big deal but doing the whole car over with a drying towel would defeat the purpose for me.
That is the question. If your vehicle is ceramic coated and you use deionized water you can just blow all the nooks and wheels and most of the body and be done with it, or you can just walk away period which isn't easy 😂 but with d.i. water it really is that easy. No d.i. then blowing definitely helps to remove a lot of water and from nooks therefore making for a real quick towel dry, maybe with a drying aid if you like, I sure do.
Why use a leaf blower? Why not design a car blow dryer with similar mechanics to a leaf blower but more specific design/ergonomics to the actual application of drying a car? Would it cost more money? YES Would people buy it? YES, As long as it is similar performance to leaf blowers with reduced sound output and increased ergonomics. Consider partnering RYOBI since they have the quietest motor tech, or Whisper Aero.
There are already dedicated car dryers on that market that cost $200-$600 dollars. For $30, a STUBBY nozzle will turn the leaf blower you already own into a very powerful car dryer.
@@StubbyNozzleCo Thanks for the response. Consider the following: 1. Dedicated car dryers on the market are all corded. 2. A good portion of car enthusiasts are buying leaf blowers specifically to dry their car and in many cases multiple units to try out the latest because a lot of CarGuys just can't resist 'upgrades'. If you polled your customers as to how many also use their blowers to blow leafs I think it would be less than 50% 3. Does the stubby make a leaf blower more optimal for car drying? Hell Yes, However the drawbacks like poor ergonomics and sound volume remain. These drawbacks could be addressed in a Dedicated Cordless Car Dryer that uses the guts of a good leaf blower with a different casing including multiple handle/grips and some sort of 'muffler' to reduce noise pollution. If you build it, They will come.😉

Airflow (CFM) on its own doesn’t equate to power. The combination of airspeed (MPH) and airflow does. For car drying, you want high air speed and adequate airflow to “fling” the water of the paint. Don’t knock it until you try it!
@@StubbyNozzleCo I'm definitely interested thats why I'm going through these videos to make a decision. Right now i'm thinking the Ryobi 730 since low db with high output is important for me. This video has a lot of information, thanks for putting it together!

I would like to see how the Flexvolt batteries as well as the Powerstack batteries change the performance on the 20v DeWalt models.
Great video. Can't wait to see an update to include the aforementioned batteries.
The Ryobi PSBLB01 18V Blower is hands down the best for car detailing and small tasks around the house.
It only has an advertised 220 CFM. That’s definitely not enough to effectively dry a vehicle.
I've never even considered using these to dry my car. Turns out I have the Skil and the Ego. I'm going to give it a try.
By far man one of the best videos on this subject! Would love to like do a video like showing them blowing off an SUV like my Denali. But, you've helped me figure or narrow down my choices. Once again, thank you for the info!
Glad I could help!
This is great! Glad I saw this while I was watching reviews of car dryers
The video i wanted but didn't know I needed. I know you more or less said I didn't need to buy a dedicated leaf blower . . well too late . . . I also picked up one of your Stubby Nozzles.
Super useful video, objective comparisons and data-driven results. Awesome work!
I was disappointed to see how poorly the Milwaukee blowers performed as I already have a few of their brand tools
Thanks for compliment! Milwaukee tools are great but their blowers definitely aren't the best.
Ryobi seems like a great tools on paper but when tested the last thing you want is decreased performance as the battery life dwindles..starts off strong then the performance just gets worse and worse then the battery dies, no thanks. The consistency of the Milwaukee is worth the price.
Great job and great data analytics skills! I’ll be using your review to buy one of these blowers knowing I’m making an informed decision thanks to you! Thank you very much 🙏
Awesome video brother! I currently have the makita small turbo looking blower. I wanted to get the ego but after you mentioned the battery part I may go for the makita big boi with your nozzle since I have 3 batteries!
Thumbs up for such a comprehensive test for easily available product and of course your final practical conclusion.
Thanks for the kind words!
Ridgid makes a blower and I think it is 550 CFM. Would be great to see how it compares with these blowers.
Excellent video. Ordered a stubby for a Ryovi 730, excited to do some washless drying!
Thanks for your business!
Washless?
Hi, great review, thanks for all the details, a must power tool to dry a car after a wash. By the way great car , I have the RS4 what an engine !
Many thanks
BRAVO my man! This was the BEST test I have ever seen! Luckily I already have the Greenworks 80v blower in your test, so just need the stubby adapter... Will be ordering soon
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it.
Clear and informative video. Thanks so much for your hard work!
Great recap and perfect amount of information.
Thanks for taking the time to get these numbers!
Happy to help!
Glad to found this test. As well as the snub. This is the king of videos of quality and susbstance. I’m using a RIDGID 105 MPH Cordless GEN5X 18-Volt. Would you offer a snub for this blower? It could be the same as the Ryobi 550.

I would love to get a Stubby Nozzle for the new Dewalt DCBL777 when it comes out! I'll have to make sure to check the website often to see when you'll have those in stock.
Thanks for the awesome video and all the comparisons. Great work!
I pre-ordered the DCBL777 a few weeks ago when I first heard about it!
@@StubbyNozzleCo Did you get the order?
@@EndiFreeKolesio for the DCBL777 blower?
@@StubbyNozzleCo Yup, I'd be very much interested in your test. I'm considering a blower for drying the car myself and I'm not (yet) locked to any patricular 18V+ battery system. Dewalt looks good with FlexVolt system but I'd like something that is closer to real 600 CFM performnace
@@EndiFreeKolesio I’ve been using the DCBL777 and offer a STUBBY nozzle for it but haven’t done the same detailed performance testing. Will likely make an updated video with more blowers later this year. It’s definitely the best blower offered by DEWALT for car drying.
Excellent research - facts and figures.
Please make your nozzles for the Harbor Freight Bauer & Atlas blowers
Need a stubby for my rigid 3-1 shop vac. I use the blower motor to dry off my car. More concentrated air would be excellent for detailing my cars
Please fill out the STUBBY nozzle request form on our website and I’ll add it to the product roadmap
Best video ever upload. Tks for sharing, now I got it clear....
Glad you found it helpful!
This doesn't even belong on youtube, you should have it published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Haha, thanks for the kind words!
Ryobi has a new model of blower for car drying which is more portable for the job.
Please make a nozzle for the M12 Compact Spot Blower. Or tell me if any of the current production models will fit onto the M12 Compact Spot Blower. Thank you!!
well done, great video looks like dewalt products are junk for their rated capacity
Great video... Already have the Ryobi 550, would love to get a stubby nozzle for it. Any progress on having that one available?
Great video by the way 👍🏼 😊
Best video I've seen in a long time!
I would like to see tests on the Makita with 2 x 18V 6.0Ah batteries and the one with 1 x 18V 6.0Ah.
I am thinking of buying one of the two as I have Makita 18V 6.0Ah batteries and fast chargers for them.
Do you ship Stubbynozzles worldwide?
Greetings from Finland.
Thank you! I just recently purchased the Makita XBU02PT 36V blower with dual 5 Ah batteries and will be testing it soon!
I think with the db reading having the meter closer than 14 inches when you start the blower is affecting your readings
Im running carwash, which one most recommended mostly for hard work, cos a day must dry many car
@@hendralesmana826 if you already own batteries for a certain tool brand, buy the most powerful blower for that brand. If you’re starting from scratch, I would recommend the Greenworks 730 CFM blower.
Remarkable review!! Thank you!
Thanks for doing all the work involved.
Sure thing! Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
Thank you for your nice studies ❤
Awesome and very well done review, thank you!
Would you buy a Milwaukee single or the Ego 765 with an extra battery since I have 3 vehicles to do at home. My vehicle is also NOT coated. Thanks.
Fantastic testing! Did every conceivable test to help us choose what is right for us. Thanks
Thanks for the nice feedback! If I were you, I would buy the new Gen III Milwaukee 3017-20 that was recently released. It's more powerful and quieter than the Gen II Milwaukee 2724-20 single battery blower featured in this video. Here's the link to the product page for the STUBBY nozzle.

@@StubbyNozzleCo Thank you. I did see that model online during my research and already asked Carzilla when they will have the Stubby in for that blower. With your recommendation, I will be buying that blower. Carzilla said the Stubby nozzle for that blower is on order and will have it in 2-3 weeks!
Props for making this video!
Great information… I am curious why you didn’t include the Ridgid line of blowers. Do you offer stubby tips for them?
Not yet but it’s on my list
doing the Lord's work 🙏
Great video and very helpful. What is that pressure washer you have on the shelf?
Glad to help! The pressure washer is a Sun Joe SPX9004-PRO which I believe has been discontinued.
Why use a leaf blower?
Why not design a car blow dryer with similar mechanics to a leaf blower but more specific design/ergonomics to the actual application of drying a car?
Would it cost more money? YES
Would people buy it? YES, As long as it is similar performance to leaf blowers with reduced sound output and increased ergonomics.
Consider partnering RYOBI since they have the quietest motor tech, or Whisper Aero.
There are already dedicated car dryers on that market that cost $200-$600 dollars. For $30, a STUBBY nozzle will turn the leaf blower you already own into a very powerful car dryer.
@@StubbyNozzleCo Thanks for the response. Consider the following:
1. Dedicated car dryers on the market are all corded.
2. A good portion of car enthusiasts are buying leaf blowers specifically to dry their car and in many cases multiple units to try out the latest because a lot of CarGuys just can't resist 'upgrades'. If you polled your customers as to how many also use their blowers to blow leafs I think it would be less than 50%
If you build it, They will come.😉
So what one would you recommend? Money isn’t an issue
Im still waiting for the vacuum nozzle adapter
My Ego broke while I using it to dry my car. I guess somehow water came inside of it while I was drying one of the mirrors. I don't know what exactly happened. I've been using it to dry my car for more than 3 years.😞
Will you offer a Stubby for Enhulk 930 also can you review it against the top claimed blower , Thanks
@@oscarpena4514 where do you live? Enhulk isn’t available here in the US.

wondering why there isn't one for Ridgid.
Hi, I'm going to buy a Makita 36VLXT - DUB362PM2. Are the nozzles compatible with this model?

Thoughts or any tests on the Toro 60V? I don't have an electric blower, but I could go with either a Toro or Dewalt because of batteries I already have.

Adding the stubby nozzles drops the power by 200 cfm? in that case i would just keep the stock one lol
Don’t worry about the makita 18v x2 the xgt 40v is better
That may be true but I still gets lots of requests for the 36V blower
@@StubbyNozzleCo I owed the 18v the 18v x2 after I got the xgt40v I decided to sell the 18v x2 the xgt felt more powerful smaller and lighter the run time also felt about the same with 1 x 4ah battery.
@@igorkuzmanovski5552 good feedback!
I'm thinking about using a DeWalt with a Stubby as a shower dryer, because for some reason I just detest squeegee duty. Have you ever tried it for this purpose? If so, I'm wondering if a smaller model like their DCE100 job site blower would be better. Thanks!
Haha, interesting idea! I'll try it out tomorrow and report back!
@@StubbyNozzleCo Cool! I'm not sure what to expect: it will either be super effective, or it will just spray mist and shampoo bottles everywhere.
I would just wake up the neighborhood doing that!
Any info on the Echo? $169 at home depot.
Greenworks sadly now sells it with a 2.5a and not a 4ah, so less run time.
Great vid! I currently have the single Milwaukee blower and I find it pushes water around more than flings it off the car (ceramic coated). Would I notice a huge difference if I got the Greenworks blower? I'm a Costco member and $200 seems like a deal. I was previously using an old Craftsman shop vac detachable blower and that worked great but want to lose the cord. Thanks!
The Greenworks 730 is significantly and noticably more powerful than the Milwaukee M18 single battery blower. If you're looking to upgrade, I would definitely take advantage of the Costco sale. Worst case scenario, you can always return it.
Thanks for the reply! I placed the order…will try it out before I order the stubby 😊
Very cool! Thank you
Would be great to see makita 40v xgt. Great video vary informative .
It’s on my todo list!
Do the car need to be ceramic coated to use leaf blower method to dry?
No, the car doesn’t need to be ceramic coated. However, any type of hydrophobic coating (e.g. ceramic, wax, sealant, etc.) will make the job much quicker and more effective.
Why there’s no stubby nozzle for Ryobi 550
