Hi Jennifer, you're a wonderful instructor and I hope you never stop sharing your creativity. As one who has also been an instructor in different capacities, I can't tell you how helpful it is for you to show the finished cards before you begin the step by step tutorials. It makes a world of difference. WIthout that crucial step, it's like taking a cross country trip without knowing your final destination. I look forward to your videos and I've found many ideas and inspiration on your blog page as well. I only look at FB occasionally but I did join 😄. Thanks again for sharing!
I don't know how long it takes you to come up with the ideas for the cards you do but I sure do appreciate the time you take and the videos you do. Thank you for sharing all your great ideas.
Such a fabulous technique and so many beautiful samples. I think I just found my Saturday project! Thank you for another amazing set of ideas and wonderful teaching video. You are so very appreciated!💖
Wonderful as always! Someone recently told me (I have very small veins) that you should drink a lot of water before you have your blood drawn and no caffeine. I tried it and it was sooo much easier!!
I just had blood drawn too (health check for upcoming move to NZ!) - they had to use both arms for all the tests. On top of that, with all the packing and moving of heavy boxes (mostly books) I now have bruises all up and down my arms! Hope yours heal up quickly! Love the surprise window ideas! Thanks!
I enjoyed this video so very much Jennifer, it created a small break in my full time care giving role & is jam packed with inspiration. I appreciate you so much. Thank you
I’ve had that same thing happen to me from blood draw, but add a try in the hand as well. They ended up sending me to a phlebotomist at a hospital because after two people trying in several locations, they were unsuccessful. So fun! Love the cards and the foil plate/stencil.
Sorry to hear about your arm. I would suggest next time asking for a butterfly needle as the are smaller. Also increase your water and after second bad attempt ask for another person to try. Love these cards. Love the stencils too. I have a ton of stencils. I will have to try this.
Great cards, I was hoping you would be doing another video soon. Then surprise you posted one today. I have watched most if not all of your past videos. I don’t get much time to make cards, but I have been making them for years. But I can listen while I work. Then when I do have time I can go back and rewatch the ones or techniques and I want to try. Thanks
Girlfriend you never cease to amaze me!!! And the designers........how do these brilliant artists keep coming up with such cool products??? Can't wait to try this technique and buy some of these products!!
I love this idea!! The suspended look is so unique Don’t feel, bad about the bruises! I had surgery for my back. They couldn’t get a vein…..I had 5 people and 8 pokes, (up and down my arms , finally had to use my hand). they finally gave up and brought in some machine to help them see it. I felt so sorry for the nurses. I’m used to it, happens whenever i need blood work or an IV, etc.
Beautiful cards. Love that Pink Fresh Studio glimmer plate. I see another purchase in my future. 😂 I think a lot of us have had the "fun" of bruised arms from wayward needle sticks. In my case, it was the first time I had kidney stones. A paramedic trainee tried starting an IV. FOUR TIMES. He could find the vein, but struggled with the catheter. By then my left hand and arm hurt almost as much as the kidney stone. Finally, the nurse took pity and in about 2 seconds found a vein in my right hand and inserted the catheter. Only then were they able to administer the morphine to control the pain. My poor left arm looked like it had been through one hell of a fight. 🤕
Beautiful and unique cards as always! Your explanations and instructions are always so easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. I’m excited to try these techniques. Hope your arms heal quickly.
Absolutely love these beautiful cards!!! Great technique to try! As someone previously said, drink a lot of water about an hour before you go. I learned this from a phlebotomist. My veins are completely destroyed from chemo so I drink the water to “pump them up”. Hope the family is well❤️
I was surprised that you didn’t cut the heart for the floral card from the larger heart left from cutting the window. These are beautiful cards. I hope they got some blood with all those sticks!
Had to laugh when I saw your arm...I knew exactly what that was as I am sporting the exact same bruise on my left forearm. I have been getting infusions every 8 weeks for my RA; and, before that I gave myself two injections once a week for my RA so am well used to being a pin cushion. Last week's infusion was a study in pain as the sweet young nurse was not good at all about inserting the needle for my medication drip. It was like being tortured and I really had to clamp my teeth together so I wouldn't yell at her "what the hell are you doing?" as I didn't want to hurt her feelings. My arm ached and was very sore for a few days which is not at all normal. So sorry you had a bad time as well. Hope your dear dog is doing much better Jennifer. My animals are my beloved "children in fur" as I rarely see my kids and grandchildren since Covid started. Love these cards and, even more, I love being able to use stencils to color designs from embossing folders, foiled designs, stamped, etc. So much faster than Copic coloring; but, I still love to color with Copics. Crafting is soooo much more fun with all the new products. I was so disgusted and frustrated with foiling until you said the magic words..."Hammermill cardstock". Wow...what a difference! Now I love to foil. I still have over- foiling on occasion, but, I get lots of good results now so I really do love my Glimmer machine. Thank you for all you do in sharing your creativity and knowledge. Love your videos! Granny
Sorry to hear about your bruises and the reason for them! I have trouble getting blood taken as well! Love the techniques and cards you showed in this video
Oh, Jennifer, my bruises from my last blood test just went away. The phlebotomist did tell me to drink water in the morning before I came in. I always thought I couldn't have anything if they said I had to fast. I'm not sure if it will help as I rarely get blood drawn where they don't have an issue finding a vein even when I don't have to fast. These cards are great. I'm looking forward to trying the techniques. Love what you did changing up that stencil.
I sympathize on those bruises, I am what every phlebotomist calls a “hard stick” so I always end up with numerous bruises from their multiple attempts. Gorgeous, gorgeous cards. That Pinkfresh geometric set at the beginning is absolute **swoon**. Can’t wait to play with it different ways like you did!
Hi Jennifer, I was wondering about the Brutus Monroe sticky mat. You can wipe it with a baby wipe...like you showed...but guess you can't really get rid of the stains. Please note, I used a gel hand sanitizer on the stains...it worked, but it took the sticky away! I will try using some pixie spray on the mat in hopes it will fix the stick. Live and learn I guess.
Beautiful cards! I wanted to ask what brand or type of black ink you used for the card with the floral stencil. Looks like you used die inks with the stencil. Whenever I do this, the colored ink always seems to smear the black ink. Wondering if I’m also not letting it dry enough?? Thanks so much!
Beautiful. Just ordered some simple foiling products to try. When I got out hospital was so embarrassed. Told a saleperson, I'm not an addict . I have no veins. 😒
Wherever I go whether it be hospital or doctors surgery, I have to say right arm middle deep, I still always look like I've had a fight with something for a week afterwards. My veins hide an say no way.... Beautiful cards as always Jennifer xx
Don’t worry it doesn’t look that bag. I was in the hospital once and the kept screwing up and blowing out my veins. I was black and blue on both arms and both sides of them.
Sorry about the bruising, my veins roll, so I feel your pain. I run into the same thing. I’ve come accustomed to asking for the “butterfly” they use to draw kids blood. Way less painful!❤️🩹
Love that you showed the finished cards first so knew what will learn.

Loved them! I'm loving some of these new products 😍
Awesome cards. Bruises are typical for me everytime I visit the Doctors.... so don't worry or fret about them.
Wonderful as always! Someone recently told me (I have very small veins) that you should drink a lot of water before you have your blood drawn and no caffeine. I tried it and it was sooo much easier!!
I do too ! Lots of water and or orange juice. Also ask for the butterfly needle as it is very small!
Unfortunately only works of you can eat or drink before a procedure! Lol
I feel like I have no veins so with a small butterfly they use my hand….so much easier and it’s just one stick.
Yes! Same for me! Also, ask the nurse to use a small needle.
I have “deep veins” and was told the same thing. 🙂
I just had blood drawn too (health check for upcoming move to NZ!) - they had to use both arms for all the tests. Your creativity is never ending and astronomical.
These are beautiful cards! I love the pre-foiled sentiment idea you showed!
Beautiful cards!
I've learned after years of monthly blood draws, don't be afraid to ask for a different person to try the blood draw.
I love the happy summery colors and designs!! Thank u!!
These are all beautiful & very inspiring. Thank you :)
Beautiful cards Jennifer. Thank you for all the inspiration and tips. 👏😊💕🇿🇦

Beautiful cards Jennifer, thank you!!
Girlfriend you never cease to amaze me!!! And the designers........how do these brilliant artists keep coming up with such cool products??? Can't wait to try this technique and buy some of these products!!
I have small surface veins that roll. I always say that to whomever is drawing my blood and that a butterfly works best.
Thanks for the impression! It’s beautiful!
Great cards as usual. Your directions are always so clear and concise. Thank you!
So many fantastic ideas, tips and techniques...thank you so much for sharing!!
As always, your cards are beautiful and fun, very innovative! Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea! Adorable cards!
These are the most beautiful cards ever

Beautiful cards! Thankyou! So appreciate the time and thought that you put into every video x
Beautiful cards. FYI I see a great vein on your left hand near your wrist on the same side as your thumb.

All of the supplies I used are at the bottom of this post! www.jennifermcguireink.com/2022/06/simple-surprise-window-cards.html
Jennifer, my arm looks worse than yours after my quarterly blood draw!!! They never can get it on the first try!!! Great cards!!! ♥️♥️♥️💉💉💉🌺🌺🌺
❤️
Hi Jennifer, How is your dog doing?
She is healing well. Thank you for asking!
Seems most medical offices have 1 person with "the magic touch" for blood work. I give somebody 2 tries, then they have to bring in the talent. :o)
this was their "pro" lol
Wherever I go whether it be hospital or doctors surgery, I have to say right arm middle deep, I still always look like I've had a fight with something for a week afterwards. My veins hide an say no way....
Beautiful cards as always Jennifer xx
Again...Fabulous! but you're also very dangerous because you make me want to buy, buy, buy!!! :)
that's her gig, Cindy!
Hoping you also get ideas on using what you already have! :)
@@jennifermcguireink Yes, I definitely do! You just make everything look so good :)
Don’t worry it doesn’t look that bag. I was in the hospital once and the kept screwing up and blowing out my veins. I was black and blue on both arms and both sides of them.
😍😍😍
I sympathise with the bruises. I have deep and wobbly veins so it’s always a nightmare when I need a blood test.
Great cards, sorry your blood draw was so difficult.
So sorry your blood draw didn't go well. That can be so painful. 😢
😱😘☘️
Sorry about the bruising, my veins roll, so I feel your pain. I run into the same thing. I’ve come accustomed to asking for the “butterfly” they use to draw kids blood. Way less painful!❤️🩹
