Thanks! Our cruise stops in Livorrno on a Monday and I would like to see Florence but can't justify paying for a guide or an excursion because the Aacademie and the Uffizi are closed on Mondays. I figure we'll take the train and then buy Hop on hop off bus tickets in Florence.

For budgeting time. How much time should we set aside from the time we get off the ship to the time we get off the train in Florence? I would think that the way back is the same amount of time?

You can see Pisa, in one hour I would recommend as time as possible in Florence.
