2010 Nissan Altima Timing Chain Set ADVICE ONLY may help someone

Keep in mind that all of this only applies if you change the Intake VVT Gear.
I figured I post this as I could not find a video talking about that.

I have a fully built sleeved turbo Spec V with his motor. first start up tonight sounded like dog shit ran like crap. pretty sure timings off. went inside and found this video. I used a cloyes timing kit and DID NOT update my upper cover, im like 90% sure this is gonna fix my issue thank you for making this video!!!!!!!

If you bought the phaser from the dealer, the parts department should have told you to install the updated cover. They have foot notes in the catalog.

The vvt gear made by cloyes is the same from 2007 to 2012 altima roge and sentra. I just order the cover same problem on a 07 sentra. Update Update it was a 2011 update on vvt sprocket and cover. If you use the new sprocket on a 2010 or earlier you need to change the cover. Ps thank you for the video it save me a ton of time

Hey I have a 2010 Altima w a p0075 I checked everything related to the causes and posible solutions and all checks ok. I’m thinking that it could be the timing chain has stretched. What do you think. Would this be a reason for this code I also have a p0463 for fuel problems but I think the are to diff problems. I would like some advice please.

Solenoid bad or control. It is an electrical code!

Great video, my 2010 nissan altima no codes is coming up ,the car sending unit for the gas is working. The car sounds like no gas is going to the engine. New fuel pump.

My Nissan rogue runs great until it warms up , then it vibrates…no check engine light , scanner says vvt bank 1 fail ..could that be the same issue as yours ?
