@@chancewitbeck1901 was not that hard. Have to remove bolt from balance shaft to remove lower chain. Tricky part is removing the upper oil pan. Hidden bolts on bottom part of a/c. Upper and lower oil pan need to come off in order to remove timing chain cover.
I am hearing a ticking / knocking noise from this area. It sounds almost like frayed serpentine belt hitting something or a playing card hitting a bicycle tire. Could it be related to any timing components? What kind of noise would a faulty timing component make? I thought it could be lifters, but I used a stethoscope and it's clearly louder under the timing cover. I hear it more distinctly at idle, although intermittently off and on. Especially after coming back from a highway drive.
Yes but I highly recommend not doing it on Jackstands I recommend a table it more stable i did what you suggested once for a pt Cruiser engine the weight shifted ever-so-slightly it's fell and the oil pan so better safe than sorry
Nice
Did one for 2012 altima. Did not remove engine. Had enough space to work on.
I had to also put a new rear crank seal so it was easier for me to do it this way
How hard was it for you?
@@chancewitbeck1901 it wasn't hard just need time and patience

It could be the lifters or the rockers from lack of oil lubrication
wish this video had more detail only thing I got out of this is what the engine looks like apart
what did the title say..?
selam beklerim
can this be done on jackstands

That is not a pump is a balance shafts.
Change the motor in my 2000 James motor in a 2008 Nissan Altima and it wont crank now
