This attack on Batman story had so much potential...but it felt like a filler arc...
Yeah, and the ending felt a bit rushed tbh. Didn't explain very well how Nightwing was able to beat the monster.
whats there to explain? the issue was the thick outer skin. Inside is where the serums needs to be. So night wing injects in from the inside where theres no resistance.
its a huge enough cliche to not need explaining.

Cool story. But, it's been a long time since I've read any Batman books. So, I have a few questions.
Who is Duke?
Who is Orphan?
Why is Clayface working with Batman?
Where's Red Hood?
Who is Gotham Girl?
Why did she choose a skirt in her costume, if her power is flight?
I might have to go do research some on Batman to get up to date, and answer these inquiries.
Duke is Batman's latest sidekick, though he isn't a "Robin."
Orphan is a killer who's trying to redeem herself by working with the Bat family.
Clayface is in a similar situation to Orphan.
Red Hood id undercover with Black Mask.
Gotham Girl is a Superman-Esq hero Batman met recently. She's bit crazy and he wants to rehabilitate her.

+Bob Smitj that is correct, he was the focus of we are Robin, but he was introduced as a younger kid in the Year Zero story who saved Batman when he was knocked unconscious. it's the first time we see Duke before We Are Robin

I have to agree. The writers of the Bat Family comics are CRUSHING it!!! each book I'm hooked more and more. Maybe ANAD had a good start, but the writers were definitely limited with what they could do when they had to tie there stories in with Civil War II. I'm so excited for I am Suicide; Batman leading a Suicide Squad team? HELL YEAH!!!

So Hugo Strange can do all this crap and he somehow, hasn't just up and killed Batman.
This is where you lose me, comics.
Hugo Strange was the original Joker (not in identity but in retrospect) tho. And this story is similar to a golden age one where he made monsters to combat Batman. He's more about psychological than actually hitting the kills.

So after this arc with Victim's Society or whatever they're called we see what became of Harper Row and Jean-Paul Valley aka Bluebird and Azrael. I was wondering what happened to then during this. Good story arc and I can't wait for I Am Suicide looks good and it's bringing back Bronze Tiger and Catwoman.

Hugo Strange was trying to project Batman and his supposed "faults" onto Batman and the city...then mess with Batman's head. You don't try to outdo Batman in psychology. Pretty sure Batman wrote the book on that.
