Imagine a whole DCEU green lantern cinematic universe where it’s like the dceu or mcu but it’s just green lantern movies and spin offs that can also include other heroes but then it all leads up to blackest night 💯

I've heard Nekron reconciled with Death of the Endless in two different ways. One is that they represent different aspects of death, and another is that Nekron is an aspect of death while Death of the Endless is straight up just death. They can have overlap while still being seperate entities.

I'm really impressed by the variety of all the additional spectrum lanterns. The way Avarice can only have one ring bearer, red actually replacing there heart and blood, love being toxic instead of all fluff. Not often do we see comics expanded with such great concepts

Lanterns was in blackest night flash. When the rogues faced off against black lantern version of their former teammates, and they forced themselves to stop feeling anything long enough to kill them. What made t even better was seeing the emotional light in captain cold slowing fade out into gray empathy from his black lantern sisters perceptive.

Jack Boy, if executed right is key. So far, DC has a low batting average as of late. I mean, they screwed up Green Lantern with one of the most lovable male actors ever. If they did Green Lantern right, Ryan would have made the perfect Hal Jordon. They touched on a lot of cannon stuff but boy, did they twist it and they did the too soon with Sinestro going yellow.

That80sGuy1972 To do Blackest Night right, they’d basically need to have 15-20 years of good movies to build up to this. Unfortunately WB doesn’t seem to understand that you can’t rush these kind of stories; they need to build over many years of continuity spread out across many heroes. And you’ll never even get that far if you don’t treat the characters with the same respect the comic writers and fans do.

I may be late on these but I'm here now. I like the guys that read the comics and do the voices but I like how you relate the comics to real life. Lanterns cool because of the necessity of emotion.
I really like when you said they came together to not die which is a selfish reason but selfishness is not inherently evil. I think it's a tough pill for us to swallow that we are all selfish at least to the point of... not dying.

Blackest Night is easily my favourite DC and comic book event of all time. It has some of the most amazing artwork and storytelling I’ve ever seen and the build up to it was awesome and the execution was even better. The rings choosing Barry, Diana, Scarecrow, Mera, Atom and Luthor was cool as hell to see. Especially Avarice for Luthor and Fear for Scarecrow, that’s just genius, it works so well .
I think my favourite moment from the story is when Barry says “ *Life* doesn’t give *us* purpose, Black Hand. *We* give *life* purpose” I cried reading that because my Uncle recently passed before I finished this book and that quote couldn’t be more true
As an asian, this is my first introduction to Comics, ill never forget how amazing how everything is, the story, colors, everything.

This is why I want there to be a Injustice 3 Blackest Night Story. So much of the Injustice storyline hints at a possible Black Lantern invasion.
The death of numerous heroes and villians. Hal Jordan turning evil and redemmed. Sinestro being imprisoned. The introducrion and faliure of Atrocitus trying to recuit Hal into the red lanterns. The Green lanterns being nearly destroyed. Its as though the stories somewhat reflect the prelude to this story line. Some things in the main storyline would be tweaked, but this storyline would be perfect.

Necron isnt the embodiment of death. He is the absence of emotion, which IS death. If the absence of emotion was something else, he would be that, but it isnt.

It seems like a philisophical point from the authors. that life without emotion is one that lacks meaning and substance.

John Stewart is the first Green Lantern I learned about or the obvious reason of Justice League. So for me when I saw Hal Jordan I was like “yo who is this”. John was really cool to me. I didn’t own or know all the much about comics when I was younger and so the show was my introduction to a lot of the heroes nowadays
