Miles! You are so talented! Not only at woodworking but your videography and editing skills as well! Absolutely in awe of you and your channel. Please please please never stop doing what you're doing. I'm super inspired watching this.
Thank you so much Jesse! I appreciate you watching my video! I'm constantly trying to hone my skills, and I'm definitely happy I've started at a young age like you said.
Wow, Miles! I'm sooo impressed with the amount of patience you needed for this project, and it was all worth it--- the Kendama looks absolutely amazing with it's colored "grain" effect! Great job as always!!!
Super sick video man! Thinking about getting a lathe to make my own and this video not only helped, but thoroughly entertained/impressed me. Love all your camera work/editing. Super well put together
Your craftsmanship and videography are mesmerizing to watch. What a gorgeous transformation of the material! Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to your creations!
Please do more kendamas! You are amazing at what you do, also people would pay big money to get their hands on a hand turned ken (Me). It would be super cool if you made some for sale :)
Great video and project Miles! I would love to see you make more things out of recycled skateboards! It's such a sweet material to work with! I love to make toys out of them!
Hey man, You combined my three favorite things. Woodturning, Kendama, and skateboarding! nice work and technique on this Kendama. I turned my first Kendama probably something like five years ago and at the time there was nobody showing their process of making them on RUclips. probably because if everybody turned Kendamas the market value for hand turned ones would go way down and I doubt anybody that was making them lol! Personally I think the hardest part is turning the Tama to the proper specs. Then again I’ve never used carbide tools so maybe it’s a bit easier that way? Anyways, once again great job dude. I just felt like making some again for the first time in a long time so I thought I’d check the old RUclips out to see who’s doing this nowadays and I found you. Subscribed for sure.
Mannn.. I’m literally speechless; I’m so impressed! You are amazing! I wish I had a fraction of the skill/talent that you possess! I’m so interested in stuff of this nature, but I just simply cannot “create” ANYTHING. Not only have you made a super fucking dope ‘dama, you filmed it quite flawlessly!! All the way down to your video description layout.. Highly professional.. for sure. Hopefully one day I’ll have accumulated enough funds to acquire all those woodworking tools, and maybe even a nice camera setup. I’ll never make it anywhere, obviously, but you truly inspired me! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK; && *FUCK* WHOEVER DOWNVOTED THIS! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Dude you got something huge for the future in store for you I can feel like I promise you'll be making thousands of dollars in a matter of weeks even days I am a fellow skateboarder that snaps boards every now and then and I think your idea is such a good way to recycle the wood if you ever need me to work for you I will do so for free u promise you that you heard that correctly I will work for you for free spread your name out here in Hawaii and blow your company up I absolutely loved this vid and the fact that you have probably the best kendama brand ever messaging you is a such a huge deal I can't wait until I get back into the rhythm of playing kendama's, yoyo's and of course skateboarding much respect and plz look into my comment im truly serious I love the kendama community so much that I will work for free no problem 7 days a week 365 days a year

brooo I'd pay upwards of 200 dollars for this just sayin... anyways that vid was suuuuuper impressive man, you really used the shots in the video to tell the story! You're the next big thing 100% bro 1 mil easy, especially when you get a bit older!! LOVED IT!
@@MakeWithMiles i'll would buy one, too! also would try myself on a kendama but i got no equipment to do so. only a really old lathe from my grandpa without knowing how to use it (already dead so i cant ask how to and where all the stuff is hidden to turn stuff) :/
I've tried Flex Seal and it does help with grip. Not quite as much as the specialist coatings from KUSA, KROM, Sweets, Kendama Israel etc. but it does make a difference.
@@jeandesbois7752 Yeah it is a decent grip, it's not the best of the best but I like it. It's somwhere between a cushion clear, and a sticky clear. Good luck!
It's definitely not the same as a finish from sweets or kusa, but it is probably the best diy option out there. Like I said it works, and holds up well over time, but it's not my all time favorite to play
Make With Miles good to hear, I’m currently making a wenge, rosewood, maybe some maple all in a tama to add some tracking and I’ll definitely try out that flex seal! Preciate it Miles
Yo that was so sick!!!!! I need one for the museum!!!! If you ever want us to clear your tamas we would love to!
Yooo!! I really appreciate it, I can't believe you guys saw my video! I would totally take you up on that offer, what's a good way to reach you folks?

@@davidbrosten1921 I sell them quite frequently, but I have a second Instagram for my kendamas @fuji.kendamas where I sell them.

Very cool idea to use flex seal as a coating, do you know how it plays over time?

hey man, what kind of tools do you use for the woodturning?
These are the ones I started out with, they are great quality and easy to learn on: amzn.to/3B6qrKV
how did that flex seal finish hold up?
so nice damn!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hehe thank you so much!
Wtf sooooo coool
Do you sell these? You should make some and sell them on Etsy. I’d get one!
What would you charge me if you made just a Ken love the work keep it up
I charge 85 for ken only, and I usually do a drop once a week (thursdays). Check my IG because that's where I post them.
You should make customs. I’d pay a pretty penny for a skate ply on a NoJumper Flight shape 🔥🔥
Haha, I'll try and do a small batch when I get more skateboards ;)

does the flex seal give a sticky coat?

How can I get you to make me a Ken
dang, can you hand turn me a ken?😀🙏 also, great video, it’s a very beautiful kendama
