Repositioning cruises are very appealing. Most are long and with a minimal capacity. You get a lot of open space and plenty of down time to pick and choose what appeals to you. I truly appreciate how independent you guys are as a couple where you each find time to do your own thing but still spend a lot of time together to work out, attend seminars and eat. Not only are you guys informative but truly a role model for how partners can still move forward and learn from each other even though you've been together for a while.

We've done five transatlantic cruises, our favorite! Low cost, same rewards as a Caribbean cruise. As for formal nights, I see your formal night view. Some people don't ordinarily dress up for a formal night, and there are many, which is fine. Don't conform to what some people want you to do! Having said that, on the five transatlantic cruises we took, I always packed a tuxedo, it can be done. If you're moving on, I can see it.

Watching your videos is always fun, but seeing you enjoying yourselves on a "repo" is great, glad you're having a blast. Another longer cruise you both may enjoy is doing the Panama Canal. There are several types, especially with Princess so make sure you are doing a full transit. They are about 14 days in length, but with about half of those days in different ports of call. Usually from Florida to the west coast, or the reverse. Love the days at sea which you can now relate to, going to the canal (we've done it twice) is both interesting, historical and just plain fun. Look forward to your next videos.... these are a great treat for everyone.

Thanks for this video. I have never done a repositioning cruise but am excited about trying them out. You guys have provided a great insight into what to expect, with useful information about what to do, how you feel, the advantages of having a balcony and the large number of activities available on sea days. I like the fact that it didn't seem crowded at all, which I guess is a feature of repositioning. Very inspiring!

I was always wondering about the freshness of the food items - especially vegetables and fruits after 6-8 days at sea. Looking at what was available on your plates, seemed quite fresh and delicious. One of the more interesting repositioning cruises is on Windstar, where they go 14 days - all at sea, from Miami to Lisbon. In fact this cruise departs on April 8, and is on a much smaller ship (Star Legend - all suites), which carries only 312 passengers/190 crew. It happens to be one of Windstar's most discounted cruises, at $1400/pp, or about $100/day pp.

We were on the boat for 14 days and the food was onboarded in Ft Lauderdale (they didn’t do a pick up along the way). Everything was very fresh and we had fresh fruit and veggies (made lots of salads) during the entire cruise. We did notice that they would do a big beef roast one night and the next they’d have a beef stew or something with what was leftover. We really enjoyed the food

Love cruises. We used to go on cruises every year prior to the pandemic. Now we're too afraid to go on it. We really miss it. Love the food, activities, the Casino, the Bingo and the shows. We could just stay on the ship and not the ports (since we've been to all of the Caribbean's) Looking forward in the future when the dust settles and we are confident to travel again to other countries and Asia. Enjoy! Video looked great! 好羨慕!

The longest cruise I’ve been on is 28 days with about half of those being sea days. I’m from Sydney, Australia and we did a circumnavigation of Australia. We went to every capitol city in every state and territory ( except the Australian Capitol territory aka The ACT, which is inland and I’ve been there umpteen times. We also went to ports that were far away from capitol cities e.g. Albany and Broome in Western Australia. I’ve also done land based tours of every state and territory over the last 40 years. On this voyage we also went to Bali for a day after we left Broome. This allowed us to do duty free shopping. If we had only stayed in Australian waters, and being Australian, no duty free.

Great job to both of you on making such a pleasurable video to watch. Regarding the wrist watch however, once it said to do the 45 minute run, that was when I said to myself, 'TIME TO TOSS IT OVERBOARD!' The reason I say that is due to being a specialist on burning fat and reversing disease for men over 40, I am so aware of all the misinformation out there on how to do it. The 45 min run was my breaking point! Glad you did not do it. Glad to know your common sense took over!

What an amazing cruise! Very few cruisers, great weather (so far in this episode anyway), and so many things to do! Ok, who didn’t write down the Soduko puzzle you showed and solve it? Can’t wait to see more of your fabulous trip!

There don't seem to be many people on your cruise. I have learned on repositioning cruises to eat fresh fruit early on and take a piece back to my cabin for a snack. Later on, the fresh while fruit is harder to find. My sister and I would pack light as we extended our ttip on land. We would do hand washing in the sink every 3 days and run a light weight cord around the cabin and pin up our smalls and hang clothes on hangers. Light weight dual purpose fabrics was the key. No ironing necessary.

The ship was about half full. We had fresh fruit for the entire voyage. They did a great job

I’m used to your channel being on Van life adventures since I want to do that eventually m. Then I’d check out other channels on cruises since I like doing those as well. Totally enjoying your voyage!
And kudos for keeping it moving. I usually gain a few pounds on a cruise

Love the video and glad you are having fun. As a Navy retiree, I crossed that ocean far too many times and spent way too much of my life at sea. Ya won't find me on a ship again.

We cruise with Princess, and love the low key environment. Love the food and entertainment. I could travel on a cruise line all year round. 😅

@@Weretherussos This Transatlantic trip reminds everyone of how people used to travel from US to Europe 100 years or more ago. It is an eye opener for many of us since did not even know this one way cruise trip to Europe still existed.

Curious about your watch. We cruise often and ride Amtrak cross country too, so I'd love to be able to keep track of locations. We don't do formal either. I bring nice black jeans for "formal night" and wear shorts the other nights and then wear that pair the next day. Most of my shorts are quick dry hiking style shorts, so they look nice for most occasions are are easy to clean!
I'm loving how empty the ship looks! My daughter and I have found several ducks the past few years. We really need to take some for hiding.

All you have to do for formal nights are a dress shirt, slacks, and light sports coat. For Ladies, a spring dress is fine and a light Shawl. Worst case, you can enjoy one of the specialty restaurants or the buffet.

Yeah the jacket/slacks would have been too much for us to bring with the limited luggage we had so buffet it is!
