So sorry you had that type of rudeness. I unfortunately called a couple years ago friends and they started that type of rude acting. I stood up grabbed my wife’s hand and told them please excuse us we are not on the same wavelength as you all are. Our old friend started yelling at us and my wife looked at me and told me. Good choice I never liked them anyway. Now that I look back about them they had been quite rude over the years. I just ignored it until that evening when they offended everyone. Two other couples at our table left them after we had left. The offending couple still to this day think they were wronged. As Mr Gump stated. Stupid is as Stupid does. Bless you two and we look forward meeting you two one day in the future. ❤

Usually, it is the booze that does it. I live in Las Vegas that type of behavior is very common here, both on the Strip and away where normal locals go eat. These days we eat at home or with friends at our house or their place. Some people have no manners.

7 days at sea may seem like a long period to some but in comparison, the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier was deployed for 321 days during 2020-2021. What makes this deployment especially notable is that Nimitz spent more than 10 months at sea WITHOUT any port calls due to the worldwide pandemic. This deployment by Nimitz was the longest deployment by a US Navy warship since the USS Coral Sea did 329 days (which included port calls) in 1964-1965 during the Vietnam war era. Long deployments for Sailors are routine and are expected during our tenure but I salute the entire crew of Nimitz for such an extraordinary accomplishment. Bravo Zulu.

I could swear that when we started cruising in 2004 several cruise lines offered “cruises to nowhere”. They were shorter cruises (3-5 days) but the ship would just go out and wander about. I wish that Royal Caribbean would do that out of Port Canaveral because sometimes I pick a cruise based on how many sea days it has. The more the merrier! 😀 Sorry about the morons at the MDR table next to you. I think the maitre d AND a security guard should have at least asked them to tone it down or face expulsion. Thanks for your very hard work putting these wonderful videos together. I look forward to them every Sunday! ❤️

We did our first TA last year and decided it's the way to go from now on. We loved the 8 days at sea to fully unwind before hitting Europe and there was no overnight flight/jet lag to get there. The only benefit in E to W I think is you get 6 hours extra on the cruise with the time changes (and you lose 6 going W to E).

done transatlantic 3 times. No great problems though the last time was choppy. Having previously gone across Bay of Biscay in really rough weather we learned that spending more time in bed really paid dividends. Our first transatlantic we had two choices, on P&O to Southampton via Bay of Biscay or on Marella to Malaga. The choice was made easier because with Marella we could fly back to Birmingham as opposed to getting back for Southampton and then to the a departure airport. A double bonus.

Ben I totally get taking your pillow and blanket. We take ours now if possible. We just weren't sleeping well and it was because of the pillows. At the last minute I threw them in the car when we did a little getaway for a change of scenery right after lock down. Made a world difference! Love your vids. Your one liners especially. Best wishes for 2023!

Loved watching you spend your day on board - especially in the splash zone. I can’t do those tube things - too confining… but it was so fun watching you both. And then why do you torture yourself on the rope course! Looking forward to more Vlogs from this cruise. Thank you

We loved our transatlantic on NCL. It was so great. Speaking of pros/cons, we realized our personal preference is to have it be Port heavy at the beginning and sea days at the end. Ours was port heavy at the end and it made it feel too fast. But we love sailing anyways and we love sea days. Spending time at the ocean is my love language 😍

You probably already know this but the term posh comes from "Portside out Starboard Home"

Great video gentlemen.. I have a different technique opening wine without corkscrew. Simply use the handle of a spoon to push the cork into the bottle

    Just a little note!
We joined the Navy to see the sea.
    And what did we see?
    We saw the sea!
And on my crossings, whales, birds galore hitching on the ship's! I now go for these rather than t' others!

The service is key to a positive overall experience. Understaffed, aggressive staff or poorly trained staff can really ruin a cruise experience. The waiting and slowness would be really disappointing.

I was watching your video kind of dozing, and then went into a laughing fit when you said the powdered sugar isn’t cocaine! You woke me ! I love your funny comical, quick ways of talking.

Hey boys glad you're enjoying your latest cruise, we have been following you for the past couple of years...I've noticed you use the term complimentary often...but surely that means free of charge, I'm sure there is nothing free on a cruse as you pay a small fortune for the privilege.... loving you vlogs...keep up the good work..Graham and Jason

when it comes to sea sickness I swear by the Boots Stores Travel Wrist Bands(I wear one on each wrist and the only time I take them off on a cruise is when I go to sleep) and I've not had any issues with sea sickness yet touch wood.

Most transAtlantic crossings are fine! However, our last one in November 2022, it was barf city! We had so many people falling! Yikes! RC Odyssey of the Sea. I played it safe and held on the rails: I love the sea days, especially in the spa🥰 Enjoy your cruise, guys!🤩

Odyssey of the Seas isn't made to go transatlantic, it's bottom is not rounded like the Queen Mary 2.

    • @luluballoon
      @luluballoon 2 года назад +1

Was that because of hurricane Nicole? I've heard that the Odyssey captain likes to charge through bad weather while some of the others steer around it.

I hope you guys do a Carnival Jubilee after it launches in Dec 20203. We have a group going Oct 2024 for our 35th class reunion. It would be great to have your opinion on the ship…. Love watching you guys. You make my day brighter. 🌞

Your class reunion cruise on the Carnival Jubilee sounds like a fantastic plan! While we can't guarantee that we'll be able to review that specific ship, we'll definitely keep it in mind for future content. We appreciate your suggestion, and we'll continue sharing our experiences with you. Have a wonderful time on your reunion cruise in 2024! 🚢😊🌞
