We bring Wet Ones wipes to the buffet. They have benzalkonium chloride, which kills norovirus (purell does not). We wash our hands walking in and then wipe them when we sit down to eat. They sell them at Walmart and other pharmacies in either a box of individual packets or a tub or big pack of wipes.
@@luluballoon benzalkonium chloride is ineffective against norovirus because it is what is considered a "naked" virus which have non-enveloped viral capsids instead of an enveloped capsid (like influenza). Really the only way to combat norovirus is the use of a chlorine solution on hard surfaces, high heat for utensil sanitation, and washing your hands before and after eating and using the toilet.
Why is it always teachers who are so bad at statistics? I just did the math for you: Only 0.00363% of the total population contracted norovirus on those cruise ships in 2023. out of 31.5m passengers only 1144 contracted norovirus. CDC statistics.
Oh you two are such a delight. How can people not wash their bloody hands!!! How can they forget what we've been thru? Great advice on everything gentlemen!
Sadly, I “discovered” them (on the Margaritaville video, no less!) just a few weeks ago and have nearly seen everything. Now I’m going to be on the one-a-week diet, too!
Its amazing that some people think because theyre on holiday that the normal rules of politelessness and common decency don't apply!!! Sanitation is So important with so many people are crammed into such a small space!
One of the reasons I love HAL is that the buffer is NOT self serve. I do use the wash stations a lot, because I've seen so many people not washing up as they should. When I sit down with my food, I use hand sanitizer. That buffet looked awful, unkempt.
Years ago we sailed on an old ship that dud not have stabilizers. The Seas got so rough we had to put the mattresses on the floor because we kept getting tossed out of bed. Those were the days. 😊
In 1974 we went across the Pacific from Newark, NJ to Sydney on a freighter. Through the Panama Canal. It took 3 weeks. There were 12 passengers and we had very good accommodations. We had our 2 year old aboard. No rough seas until the Tasman Sea between New Zealand and Australia. Then Wow
Thanks you both soo sooo sooo much for reminding people about the handwashing. I love that you specifically mention the tongs. I worked at a health department and trust me, people each tons of food with their fingers and slobber all over then go back for more food and grip those tongs soooo gross.
I think I was one of the few who washed hands after tongs. I only use the pre packaged or freshly made stations in the buffet. Also the enifflers and coughers: no use of elbowsor tissues, unbelievable.
On the Disney Wish there was staff making sure people were washing hands on the way into the buffet, but they also had plenty of sinks. Even when going into the evening meals in the themed restaurants you had to apply hand sanitizer before you could enter.
Every single passenger should have to pass an infection control lecture, along with their safety drill.🤦♀️ People are so icky. I would avoid the buffet too.
After COVID waned a bit, you can really see how NASTY people are! They don’t wash their hands at all. Unfortunately Royal Caribbean has slacked off on making sure that people at least use the sanitizers even though alcohol doesn’t deactivate norovirus. I at least use hand wipes before eating when sinks aren’t available. Mechanical removal is better than nothing.
Years ago my family crossed the Atlantic on a Cunard ship. I was 6 . We hit hurricane weather storms and we were 3 days late docking into Halifax. To this day I cannot get onto water without being seasick.
We love our trans pacific and Atlantic cruises simply for the rest. Working gals at the time, so laying around, drinking coffee, eating and watch TV was so right up our alley.
Ginger "beer" (non alcoholic) works, green apples, bananas, rice dry toast and cola (coke works best) but get the fizz out, you just need to make it flat, little sips. Those are also natural relief, oh Papaya we've found helps also.
hi! I'm a pharmacist and can say for sure that Bonine is what I recommend, (the generic meclizine is pronounced mek-li-ZEEN). love your videos, and enjoy Alaska!
my doctor told me if I took even a single pill of those, with my heart meds, I would straight up Die. Maybe dont recommend meds on the internet? You can kill people!
I think I've heard somewhere that if you're feeling the motion sick and lying down isn't helping, then try changing the direction you're lying in, (try rotating 90 degrees, or even 45 degree increments).
I really love your videos. I love Bens "CHEEKY" sense of humor. We who grew up in the US don't use the word "cheeky". I think I may include it in my daily vocabulary. Maybe I will start a new trend here in Arizona. Safe travels friends!
As Mariner myself, whenever or whoever having seasickness due to vessel motion, go to the main deck and take the fresh air. If throwing out happen, just do it and let go. Return back to take a glass of warm water and it will help a lot. Don't lay down on the bed and stay in the cabin.
My seasickness trick is always take Dramamine non drowsy each night before bed. Start the night before the cruise starts. That way it never gets ahold of you.
Hi, I would recommend bringing a pack of plastic gloves and use one on one hand for the Buffett and tongs and other hand for plate. Germs are par for the course, best to take it upon yourself to protect yourself 😊 cheers!
Hello, Ben and David. I’ve been watching your cruise vlogs for about seven months. At the time, I never thought I’d cruise again. Well, in February I started a full time job with benefits. Since, you cruise vloggers we’re having such a great time cruising, I decided to book an Alaskan cruise vacation. So, next April my husband and I are going on the Norwegian Bliss from a seven day voyage.
Just returned from Alaska on the Norwegian Encore. If you still can I would recommend cancelling Encore and taking a Princess raise instead. Compare times in port, shows (hardly anything to see on Encore because Norwegian cancelled them) and Norwegian has no “pull” and docks waaaay out of town so you have time consuming bus trips and hard to find and use shuttles making it very hard to see the towns. Princess usually docks right in town so you walk off and you’re right in town putting you also close to your excursions as well.
David the book you found, you guys should write a little message in it to say where it's been, I think that is a cool idea that person left that in memory of their father ❤
The non-drowsy Dramamine works for me. One tab a day embarkation day to the day before disembarkation. Don't worry about the state of the sea, unless it becomes ridiculously rough.
And although we don't tend to suffer from seas sickness, it's good to know that a lower suit in the middle of the ship might help for noticing much less movement of the ship in rough seas as we plan on taking a cruise ship from New York over to England !!
It was funny when you spoke about the breakfast buffet! I could just imagine all the old people bumping into each other's walkers and powerchairs. You were a lot nicer than I would have been about the hygiene and crowds. I would have gotten really aggravated for sure! Question: was it your own croissant that hit you, or someone elses? I love how positively you look at things, guys. I hope the sea calms down for you!
My sister badgered me to watch this and now I have to thank her. You two are hilarious and very informative. I have to say though. I felt a little queasy myself after watching it!
I was on the NCL Spirit at the end of 2022 going from Hawaii to Auckland, NZ by putting 3 trips together back-to-back-to back. The Spirit is a bouncy little ship, but so beautiful after her redo right before Covid. I hope if you had Captain Ash, that you got a chance to meet him; he is truly one of the nicest people I've ever met. On my recent on the NCL Sun, I met the Captain who was the Master of the Spirit in 2019 and he said that they Sun was so much easier to dock than the Spirit. The reason that the Spirit is so bouncy is that she has an older style of stabilizer; it is physical only, not mechanical. The reason she is so hard to dock is that she has a fixed prop and just 3 thrusters, one on each side near the bow and one in the stern which can be angled depending on need. Regarding Teppanyaki, my choice is the vegetable choice at the bottom of the list but I substitute the tofu for shrimp; I make this choice because I want more vegetables with my meal than their standard choices. One of the things I liked about the Spirt was the ability to walk from the 7th to the 13th deck without having to go inside. I'm so glad that they saved this ship with the upgrades.
Hey Ben and David. Happy Sunday. Significant storm I see. Agreed. Few ppl wash their hands. Inappropriate touching at the buffet etc. Oh no. Someone broke their leg 🦵🏼? Sorry about that. Glad you were able to change your cabin. Great seasickness tips. Teppanyaki always yum. Glad they didn’t have to cancel the show re:weather. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
Hey there! Happy Belated Sunday to you too! Storms can definitely make things interesting at sea, but we're glad we managed to change cabins and make the most of it. It's unfortunate to hear about someone breaking their leg, but we hope they receive proper care. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! See you in the next video. Take care and have a great day! 😊🌊
I was just on the Spirit from Tahiti to Hawaii in April in room 10198 mid-fwd and YES It creaked ALOT during those 4 days at sea and we didnt have any storm days. And lots of older folks and only about 5-10 kids. Very Pleasant trip and not much for activities, zero for the solo cruisers except the nightly meet up.
So gross that people don't wash their hands at the buffet (or in general before eating). I think I would be puking my guts out on that crossing. Thanks for all the tips to avoid getting sick. The hibachi meal looked delicious.
We were just out of Covid have people learned nothing about hygiene? That’s absolutely disgusting. I remember when I was on royal last year and this lady next to me pretended to wash her hands and walked away. Most were washing their hands for 2.2 milliseconds like sheesh can you at least wash it for 10 seconds!?? This is why I always carry wipes with me all the time when I’ve went to the buffet. I myself also stopped going and went to the restaurants instead. Even before Covid this is BASIC hygiene, taught to pre school kids! Smh
This is why we won't be cruising anytime soon we went on 2 cruises 20 years ago had a amazing time now it's a incubator for viruses to many people and unsanitary people 🤮
Hi guy's!! Sunday lunch with you is ALWAYS the best part of my day. I'm the person who actually likes the motion of the ship. I always sleep so much better and if the seas are rough I'm the one outside trying to get some pictures. Lol. The ending with all of you in the walkway moving like you were in the twister from the wizard of OZ. 😅 Thank you for all the tips and information. I'm sure it will help many people planning a TA. Happy Sunday!!❤❤
We agree, there's something oddly soothing about the creaking sound of a cruise ship. It adds to the unique ambiance and reminds us that we're sailing on the open seas. It's like a gentle lullaby that helps us relax and unwind. Happy cruising and enjoy the soothing sounds!
I was pretty seasick on the Disney Magic a few years ago. We had a room in the front of the ship and the rocking combined with some very strong coffee was a recipe for seasickness! The front desk sent up some green apples and saltines, and it really did help! Something about the acid in the apples helps relieve motion sickness.
I’m anti-buffet unless there’s no other option or I need something quick to go. And yes! Wash your hands before AND after! I like to say that washing your hands before going through the buffet is for other people. Washing your hands AFTER the buffet (and before grabbing cups and utensils) is for YOU!
The first cruise I went on was 2 weeks after hurricane Sandy that damaged New Jersey shore that year. Lucky for me I bought some patch's you put behind your ears they worked for me people were so sick & swaying a few days. It looked like a movie scene when we all got up at the comedy show to take a step & everyone in unison had to take another step to brace ourselves. Hubby felt fine lol
I’m addicted to your content. I haven’t been on a cruise in 10 years, but I would reconsider if it meant we could meet up with you for a drink. 😂 Love you guys and keep up the amazing content!!! ❤
I went on a rocking cruise 15 years ago. I got my sealers quickly and never felt sea sick, but afterwards I felt like I was still running count at sea for 3 months.
MotionEase is great when you're just a little dissettled. Sometimes interior cabins make me feel a bit nervous when there's motion and the MotionEase is just enough to calm it down. It just basically relaxes you. If you're actually feeling sick, go for the Bonine, definitely.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's always helpful to have options to ensure a more enjoyable cruise experience. Happy sailing and smooth seas ahead! ⚓️😊
I loved the sea bands on our way to Alaska earlier this month for seasickness. They work via acupressure and almost instantly relieved my nausea. 10/10 would recommend.
What a wonderful and informative video from beginning to end! I especially appreciated the candid buffet observations. People. Please wash your hands! Often! The seasickness tips were so helpful. There are options. You don't have to suffer, 😊
As usual, great vlog. Love Ben's natural hair look.😅 I agree about the buffet on ships. Some people act as though it is their last meal. Disgusting behavior. 😮
So, if you two have noticed a recent spike in views from Australia, it’s me and my BF watching all your vids. We’re loving them! And for so many reasons! We love how clearly you speak and how fun and chatty you are. I love that you never pan too quickly and make us dizzy. I love the detail you include and that your love of cruising just shines through. The series with Ben’s mum is adorable. Our favourite new sport is watching for David in the background of a shot carrying everything 🙊 I’m totally new to cruising while my BF has been on many and loves them. I did a little taster cruise with him for a few nights on Carnival and it was great fun - I’m really looking forward to my first long cruise now (Jan 9th, Brilliance of the Seas Sydney>South Pacific). I love that through your vids I get to peep lots of different gorgeous ships (that mostly don’t come to Australia 😢) so we can make a loooooooong bucket list to enjoy 😊 Thank you so much for sharing your holidays with us xoxox
We had a very rocky cruise on Oceania in the Mediterranean years ago. I brought high heels and wound up carrying them, until i finally wore my flats. Luckily we didn't get sick.
Great advise! We personally LOVE the aft cabins. The movement is very conducive to sleeping!! I get the best sleep on cruises!! We have been on some rough ones. On a 15 day Hawaii we ran into some rough seas. Enough for them to put the sickness bags our all over. I am prone to seasickness so I always get the patches from my doctor before I leave.
Darlings!!!! You both are so funny & I just had surgery….it hurts like heck!! Laughing body parts off!!! Oooh!! I love your positive attitudes…even through the more mundane situations. Have a lovely week, guys!
Been there, did that. We were caught in the tail end of a hurricane on the Pride, and boy was it one hell of a ride. Carnival handled everything perfectly. Of course they had tons of thìngs for us to do, so all worked out just fine. We were unable to go outside until the next day.
I'm with you on the Buffets now, ever since we did Virgin and it was more of a food court, now I'm not saying they were perfect, but I think that having stations and then ordering what you want is far better, than the old fashioned buffet.
Love the rocking motion, creaks and stormy weather. The bands, fresh air, ice water are my treatments for too much motion. I used to use Dramamine, stemitil or ginger tablets, but haven't needed any since i started using the bands.
I have twice sailed from UK to Australia and both times we were caught in heavy storms. The first time on the Fairsky, there were no stabilisers. I think the second ship, Australis, did, but she still really rocked. Then in 2019 on a cruise we hit the tail end of a cyclone. I actually loved the movement of the ships, nothing like falling into a strangers cabin when they opened their door just as you stumbled past lol. I get car sick, and more so on buses, but I have never been sea or air sick.
I absolutely love your videos!! I have been binge watching them. I will be going on my 1st cruise on Wonder Of the Seas in October! I am super excited.
Try going thru a hurricane at sea on an immigrant ship. Back in the 60s and 70 s ,first on a small ship called the Flavia and the second on the Galileo . Very frightening.
Hi guys, always count on y’all to brighten up my day. Even with your rough seas, I’d rather be where you are. Had a really rough long night, so tired just want to sleep. But I so look forward to seeing y’all , then I’ll nap. Sad about the buffet, one thing I always wanted to try once I get to go on a cruise. But I’ll pass on any cruises that have any possibility of cold weather, was on the navy ship the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier for 3 days. It was rough, military food no flavor at all. Didn’t get sea sick, but it was still an experience. Thanks for cheering me up 😊, can’t wait for next Sunday video 🌸
We're excited to hear that you're a cruising enthusiast and that you enjoy the thrill of a rough sea. Back-to-back cruises in 2024 on your own sound like a fantastic adventure.
I always look forward to Sundays so I can watch your videos. They are so much fun, informative and I love the reviews of the food. I wish you could do more than I video a week but I understand it's a lot of work putting it together. I'm definitely going to buy some Bonine for my cruise in September NY to Canada. I'm wondering about the weather at that time and I like to be prepared ahead of time. Keep up your awesome videos, they're so much fun 😊
Bonine and Non-Drowsy Dramamine are both Meclizine. Walmart has a much cheaper generic version. I agree with you on cabin placement. Other cabins above, below, side to side and across the hall. 👍
Hey guys love watch and your postings do appreciate all your input. Just a heads up don't dry anything on the balcony of your crucial. You could blow away and it will always get salt deposit from the ocean highly recommend. You dry it in the shower on the close line you are given.
I love it when it’s rough. It’s the only time you know you’re cruising. We like being near the front of the ship, just under the bridge. We have never been sea sick and I crossed from Holyhead, Wales to Dublin, Ireland in December. Talk about rocking and rolling!
Love you two! Lol - I am totally stealing “Julia Roberts on Rodeo Drive.”! I have only been seriously seasick once. It was 2002 and we booked the cheapest cabin on the cheapest Carnival ship we could find. We had a great time and I have many fond memories, but there was like a 12 hour period of rough seas and it was awful! But we survived and had a great cruise!
Wow sounds like a great cruise I have done the Hawaiian to Vancouver sailing many times and also Alaska many times but never combined. The Coastal waters can be rough in certain areas but should settle down as you near Alaska Great video as always Thanks for the hard work you put into your videos
I can get motion sickness in a car. I've also had vertigo on dry stable land. Even if I didn't have a house full of pets to keep me from cruising I don't think my health would be compatible. I do hope you didn't suffer horribly. I do so look forward to your videos every Sunday.
Thank you for watching our videos every Sunday! We're sorry to hear that you suffer from motion sickness and vertigo, as it can make cruising and certain types of travel difficult for you.
@Cruisewith I'm just so happy to watch your travels. I do believe if you put out several videos per week I'd simply have to watch. I love your personalities-your humor-your honesty-and the fact that you try so hard to find positive things even when something is simply subpar.
A great thing for motion sickness is something called a relief band. You wear it on your wrist and it emits electrical impulses that help with nausea, vomiting. The ones that have placeable batteries start at about $150. Worth every penny.
My absolute hate is coughers and sneezers happily spreading their germs 🦠 and this was noticeable on our cruise and yep no hand washing ,I think they should be thrown overboard 😉😆
Another thing on rough sea days - please don’t overfill your coffee cup - had someone’s coffee come clean out of their cup on a good sized breeze and it splashed all over me - didn’t help the woman never even apologized!
I always was seasick on cruises but I kept taking them because I love the ocean and cruising - Bonine fixed that for me but I don’t like taking it every day. I tried acupuncture on an NCL ship (and the seeds the dr applies on pressure points on and around the ears) a few years ago and it worked for a few days. I took one of the first cruises on Enchanted Princess and the dr doing the acupuncture was an expert and I never felt sick for the whole 10 days. I was amazed and so happy. Acupuncture can work if the dr is a good acupuncturist.
We had a balcony cabin on a Holland America ship that was under the kitchen. To be more precise it was under the commercial dishwasher in the kitchen. The noise was unbearable up to 1am then started again at 4am. We complained and were told that the cabin should not have been sold because the cabin was considered uninhabitable. We were on a four week cruise through the Baltic then Norway and had to wait two weeks and threaten to sleep in the theater before they would give us another cabin.
AND I'm so excited to hear you using teppanyaki correctly! It is in no way interchangeable with hibachi. That is a completely different cooking method. Ok, done nerding out.
My brother in law is captain on the Norwegian Epic……you should book a sail on his ship, tell him you know his crazy sister in law….Susie, his name is captain Idar Hoydal…..really nice guy
Love this info. What a fantastic trip. Please tell Steph she looks gorgeous 💗💗💗🥂🥂🌸🌸. We are headed to Alaska in August. First cruise. Can’t wait. You have both inspired me💗. Thank you!
26:45 - That Getaway series was the fist of yours I ever watched while researching cruises. We ended up taking that same exact cruise in 2019 on the Getaway. I'll be honest, I miss that style of Vlogging.
Great video. It seemed the rough seas were short-lived. That's good. Sorry to hear your avoiding the buffet but it is the same system-wide. We just got off the Rotterdam. The Lido Market was the same as you experienced. Normally HAL has servers but people were grabbing themsleves. We gave up on the buffets a while ago. It is a shame but everytime we walked in during the last few cruises has made it a no-no for us. We now do mainly speciality dining venues and club rooms.
Ben, you are so funny in this video! The way you keep staring into the camera!! Thoroughly enjoyed you guys in this video… I’ve been on these “rocking and rolling “ cruises and I totally can relate.. great job!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad my humor and camera stares brought a smile to your face. It's always a pleasure to entertain and connect with our viewers. And yes, those "rocking and rolling" cruises can definitely provide some memorable moments! We appreciate your support and hope to continue bringing you enjoyable content. Smooth sailing to you! 🚢😄
I didn't know such an itinerary existed. Take my money NCL! And I've crossed the Drake Passage on a 300ft. ship. A little bump and grind doesn't bother me ;)
Only recently found your channel & i love you both but omg Ben i love your way with words 😂 you make me laugh…& how sweet is the person who left the book 😊
I think you guys bring forth the actual cruising experience better than any of the other sites I visit. It’s nothing against them, each brings their own perspective to the cruising experience but nobody comes close to making the experience seem as fun as you guys. We’ll still probably never take another one. My wife and I and our son did a barefoot cruise as guests of my cousin and his husband back in ‘80 - the Grenadines - 100 people including crew on a 100” lead hulled, two masted ship. It seems a far cry from these floating hotel/shopping mall ships with thousands of people. And drug sniffing dogs… But thank you guys for giving the experience a fun vibe. Always look out for your videos…
It never fails to amaze me, we have just come out of a world wide pandemic and people are worse than ever hygiene wise. I would not use tongs without nitrile gloves. Don't care what anyone thinks. As a nurse who has studied infection control, thought of what is on those tongs makes me feel queasy. So many major infection break outs reported to CDC people need to look after themselves.
I keep saying the same thing! If nothing else you’d think as humans we’d have learned a couple things after all that Covid time off of traveling. 1. If you don’t feel good, stay away from other people. 2. Wash your damn hands
The really odd thing is that Celebrity Cruise Lines has very clean ships with washing stations at both ends of their buffets. Nevertheless, they've been hit with noro virus on more than one of its ships this year alone.
@@jeannecrawford6324 you can take a horse to water but can't make it wash its hoofs 😂 I am shocked every time I go to the cinema a bank of hand basins facing the stalls as you come out yet every other person doesn't wash their hands.
We’re experienced cruisers and I get a bit nauseous on the first couple days. My advice is to jump on medication (Bonine) as soon as you feel sick. I’ve tried to muscle through it (many times) and realized how stupid I was. Take the medication as soon as you feel symptoms, you’ll thank me for it. I hope I take my own advise next cruise.
Hello Ben & David those seas do look rocky that's the Pacific Ocean for you. We have been on 4 cruise so far this year including Celebrity Eclipse we go to the dining room for all meals covid is still around & people are not washing their hands etc . Off on a short 4 days on P&O Pacific Adventure for a birthday next month looking forward to warmer weather. Love from Sydney.
Hi there! Thanks for the love from Sydney! The Pacific Ocean can definitely be rocky at times, but that's part of the adventure, right? 😄 It's great to hear that you're being cautious and opting for the dining room during these times. Have a fantastic birthday celebration on the P&O Pacific Adventure! Enjoy the warmer weather and make wonderful memories. Sending love right back to Sydney! ❤️

Kudos to the entertainment cast for putting on a show in what must have been challenging, to say the least, conditions! 😱
Ahoy there! Thank you for sharing your seasickness tips. ⚓🌊
Warm water makes me queasy
Maybe we are strange or maybe we've spent too much time on a ship, but we kind of love a stormy day or two. 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks
David the book you found, you guys should write a little message in it to say where it's been, I think that is a cool idea that person left that in memory of their father ❤
Great suggestion!
You guys are absolutely wonderful. You’re very informative and hilarious. Love watching your videos. Keep up the fabulous job you are doing!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I remember sailing to the Canary Islands for my honeymoon, we had 30ft swells in the Bay of Biscay. That was plenty for me 😅
Hey Ben and David.
Love this one! Hopefully people on the cruise who were seasick were able to recover and enjoy at least part of their journey.
Absolutely! We always hope that anyone feeling a bit green around the gills can bounce back and make the most of their cruise experience.
Thanks for sharing your experience aboard the Spirit. It seems like you had a pleasant trip overall, despite the creaking sounds
Smh
Unfortunately people have short memories and habits of a lifetime reassert themselves.
People are gross
@@Duchess_of_Cadishead exactly! Lol
This is why we won't be cruising anytime soon we went on 2 cruises 20 years ago had a amazing time now it's a incubator for viruses to many people and unsanitary people 🤮
Just discovered your channel Ben and David and I am throughly enjoying. Scary cruise though 💙💙
I love that creaking sound of a cruise ship. 🥰🥰 so soothing!
We agree, there's something oddly soothing about the creaking sound of a cruise ship. It adds to the unique ambiance and reminds us that we're sailing on the open seas. It's like a gentle lullaby that helps us relax and unwind. Happy cruising and enjoy the soothing sounds!
That chef really did look amazing and looked like he was enjoying himself. Can't wait till it is my turn to go to AK
We couldn't agree more!
Love you guys and keep up the amazing content!!!
I agree. I've used MotionEase on cruises when I'm just feeling a little off, but Bonine works excellent for me for motion sickness.
Thank you for another great vlog Ben and David ,Stay safe and well guys ,I'm with you on the morning coffee ❤
Outstanding Video! You guys are a hoot!!! Great information for new cruisers on medications to help with motion sickness!!!
I'm with you on the Buffets now, ever since we did Virgin and it was more of a food court, now I'm not saying they were perfect, but I think that having stations and then ordering what you want is far better, than the old fashioned buffet.
Totally agree! Having different stations and ordering what you want feels more organized and convenient. Happy Cruising! 🚢🌟
Love the rocking motion, creaks and stormy weather. The bands, fresh air, ice water are my treatments for too much motion. I used to use Dramamine, stemitil or ginger tablets, but haven't needed any since i started using the bands.
Glad you found your preferred remedies! The bands, fresh air, and ice water can work wonders for motion discomfort.
Ben and David will never be weather beaten!🤧🤧
Try going thru a hurricane at sea on an immigrant ship. Back in the 60s and 70 s ,first on a small ship called the Flavia and the second on the Galileo . Very frightening.
Cold!! Thanks for the heads up. I’ll pack lots of warm clothes for my Alaska cruise next March. I think I’ll bring my long Johns
Love cruising and actually love a rough sea. Can’t wait till 2024 two back to back cruises on my own
We're excited to hear that you're a cruising enthusiast and that you enjoy the thrill of a rough sea. Back-to-back cruises in 2024 on your own sound like a fantastic adventure.
We are on The Spirit right now heading to Alaska! April 27, 2024! ❤
The Coastal waters can be rough in certain areas but should settle down as you near Alaska
Great video as always
Thanks for the hard work you put into your videos
Came home from our last NCL cruise and cancelled the next one. Terrible coffee - food budget cut to the bone.
🤣Ben: ‘ my hair’s gone cray balls’ 😆 I’m with you gross when ppl cough or don’t wash their hands don’t be gross.
My absolute hate is coughers and sneezers happily spreading their germs 🦠 and this was noticeable on our cruise and yep no hand washing ,I think they should be thrown overboard 😉😆
Great fun! Thanks for sharing!
That's wonderful to hear that acupuncture worked well for you in managing seasickness on your cruises.
What is amazing is you don't see other guest for being a full ship! Very cool VLOGS
Oh my gosh!!! Please stay safe ❤
I remember I had a terrible headache when the ship listed. That swinging was painful for me, not sick though, just the headache.
AND I'm so excited to hear you using teppanyaki correctly! It is in no way interchangeable with hibachi. That is a completely different cooking method.
Ok, done nerding out.
I do love sleeping when seas are rough!
I've found the same re the coffee - not good at all. I try and avoid getting the coffee from the restaurants and instead go to Starbucks.
Great info , guys. We are doing a trans pacific cruise in October. Vancouver to Hawaii. I will be sure to bring Bonine!
Oh boy, I got sea sick watching this. You guys are worth it though.😉👍
And drug sniffing dogs…
But thank you guys for giving the experience a fun vibe.
You're absolutely right, hygiene is incredibly important, especially during and after a global pandemic.
@elizabeth-annexelenrant: You are so right. I’ve made the same observations. (Plus I think it’s hilarious you laughed at your own hoof joke!).
Ever notice that Ben is a down smile and David is an up smile? Ben pulls down his lower lip and David pulls up his upper lip when they smile. LOL!
This video made me want to be on a ship, NOW! Our next Ocean cruise is in July 2024. I might have to book something sooner!🤫
One question, please. How do you both remain so fit and slim with going on so many cruises?
We don't eat between cruises hehe.
