Jamie’s blog was the shit back on the day,. His articles were highly entertaining, he had a crazy physique, and he really challenged a lot of conventional training advice. By following some of his principles I was able to get out of a rut I had been stuck in.
Not sure where you got those numbers but Jamie never benched 500 or squatted 750. I believe his best meet was 1705 where he squatted 650, benched 385, and deadlifted 670. I think he may have benched 405 at one point and gotten close to a 700 dead at one point. I really miss reading his blog back when he was really pumping out high quality articles every month. Haven’t been following him a while, hope he’s doing well.
Some stuff I read online. Not like I interviewed him.
Jamie is the man. Huge influence on my lifting back around 2010 and I always return to his stuff when I feel a little lost training wise. His articles always remind me that a proper fucking mindset is the root of good productive training, it's okay to have fun when you train (probably ideal), and to not overthink it because this shit doesn't have to be rocket science. In fact turning everything into a goddamn spreadsheet tends to suck the fun and spontaneity right out of training for me, and I'm sure a lot of people. Working out is my little vacation from life, no need to make it a chore too! My results are better this way.
Yes! His method of training is good to break the mold for sa Bir and make training fun.
Jamie is proof positive you can be incredibly strong yet not be big by bodybuilding standards
I suppose when youmake your contempt for powerlifting well-known, getting forgotten becomes a priority for the powerlifting commiunity.
Oh well. They largely suck anyways.
Also, Jamie's at least 46.
Thanjs for sharing brah
HE'S DEAD? I didn`t even know he was sick
LOL smh i just realized I wrote who was instead of who is. Thanks for the catch
@@TheStrengthClassroom❤❤❤❤ohhh thanks I feel better know
Yo I was confused too cos I saw him post on IG a week ago was like tf goin on 😂😂 happy the man finally getting his due props it’s been a long time coming 💯💯💯
Started reading CNP in 2013. I learned a lot from Jamie's Blog. Not just lifting but history too and all other interesting and esoteric stuff.
Ya I think i was reading it around the same time as well
Jamie Lewis is from Pennsylvania, not Minnesota.
My bad. I can't remember where I got that information from. Thanks for the correction.
Jeezuz, man! How many mistakes are you gonna make on one man's story??? Try to get it right!

Great video! Anybody remember BOLD AND DETERMINED!? VICTOR PRIDE, his blog was so great, I miss him a lot, he totally dissapered off the map
A Shane I found never read husband blog jn university. J was never surrender when I'd come across a bukkake picture
He had a meltdown and lost it a midlife crisis
Great video - been following Jamie's stuff for years. Dont think he wrote a book called "Guns bullets and psychopaths" though
I looked through my notes and wasn't even there LOL I have o clue why I said that now
jamie lewis is the shit lol
He is a good one
Jamie Lewis = The King 💪💪💪🥇💪💪💪💪💪
I am the king brah
@@TheStrengthClassroom It may be so,bro! But Jamie's life anectodes...🤣🤣🥳🥳
How do you make a video about Jamie Lewis and not mention his world record?
I messed up but I made sure to put the clip of the squat in. Sometimes in these videos I want people to go research the topics themselves. I just like giving them a kick in the ass to find the stuff themselves. But yes I should have mentioned it lol
All Jamie ever does is mention his record that got beat shortly after. Then all you heard was "I'm not actually a powerlifter, I just like lifting" lmao
To be fair, the dude has reported me as dead. What'd I die of anyway?
@@cro_magnum 😂😂😂 is that so? In the world where I'm dead, I suppose you're right. In the world where I'm living, I'll be in ESPN tonight teaching you about American Gladiators in Part 2 of three 30 for 30 I'm in. And I didn't mention myself once, champ 😂😂. Check it out of you're not too busy being a fatass, weakling incel! 😁
I didn't mean to. This series is supposed to be lifters/athletes in retrospect I didn't think you were dead lol
Great
Thanks brother
He was big
Haha
This video was awesome. Loved it. Thanks
Thanks Dan. Are you liking this style of video? Because I have a lot more planned.
@@TheStrengthClassroom yes sir. I find them very interesting
Jamie was a great inspiration for me when I started lifting 12 years ago. I even translated several of his articles to portuguese. Great video, the man surely deserves much more recognition than he got.
Have you ever ran any of his style if workouts?
@@TheStrengthClassroom i've surely applied lots of his principles, mainly dojng whatever shit I felt i wanted to do, and going heavy. Also, i tried the reverse grip bench press and front squat, jump squat too.
Great video
Thank you my friend
Love the video!
Just don’t tell Jamie he’s a powerlifter!
hahaha
Yeah, his writing is amazing. Smart and pioneered his own brand and reminds me of just MPMD built his own thing
his old blog used to make me laugh so hard with the x rated pictures and stuff lol
@@TheStrengthClassroom so unapologetic, things were better before cancel culture
@@Bethune_Groundstaff your mean communist marxist culture
Just another story of "I didn't take a lot of gear". Really. Who knows. His "methods" seem to have messed him up. Unsustainable, drug fueled.
I'd agree with unsustainable gains
But you WOULDN'T agree with drug-fueled???? C'mon, everybody knows these elite powerlifters, strongmen, and bodybuilders use steroids. The sad denial needs to stop. You ain't fooling nobody anymore.
