Have you ever considered a moving event for max? Static events could be for reps on the same show to avoid to much pressure on the athletes and then injuries. Think about it this way, small distance, say about 4 or 5 meters. The athlete chooses the weight and has to carry it in their hands/back without dropping for a "good lift", if they succeed the weight goes up like a rising bar event, distance is the tie breaker for same weight, and time would be out of the equation so they don't have to rush and something goes wrong. This would be great for farmers, frame and yoke, but if you want to go crazy use a tow bar to add the 4th, 5th, maybe 6th truck in a truck pull for max event. I think Giants Live team is very smart when choosing events, and idk how dangerous moving events for max would be, but I think it is at least a worth discussing idea. I hope you consider it.

Eddie Hall's deadlift record is the most alpha moment in strongman history. He just holds it too and nods to the crowd with blood pouring out of his nose.
Yeah that was an incredible spectacle. People said the 500kg would never be seen in his generation. They said it was impossible. What he did was astounding. I think people forget that he didn't just beat the record by 2kg, 5kg or even 10kg - he beat it by 36kg!! That lift set a standard that had never been seen before. It was in a different league, and wasn't an incremental, tiny increase - he annihilated the record by a huge margin.

That truck pull from Thor at ESM 2017 is very underrated. Eddie and Terry, both insane truck pullers, couldn't even finish the course in 1 minute while Thor smoked it in 30 seconds

No matter what you think. The 500 kilo deadlift is plain and simple the greatest feat of strength of all time. It doesn’t matter who breaks it, it will always be the 500kg that everyone remembers

Eddie Hall never ceases to amaze me. 6’3 definitely is taller than average humans, but in Strongman is considered average. He may not have had Brian’s or Thor’s height, but that did not stop him from overcoming that physical barrier.

Here's why Eddie gets worshipped more: 1. first mover advantage (the first man to lift half a ton) 2. psychological round number 500 kg was lifted (with a nice alias as "half a ton") 3. demonstration of full effort as evidenced by the nosebleed 4. the lift was very smooth and flawless technique 5. the lift was done publicly in a stadium full of crowds as witness

Big Z and 2017 Eddie Hall are by far the best static lifters. Eddie had more on the axle, could have done the 230kg log press, and the first to reach 500kg on the deadlift. And then obviously Big Z set the tone for a lot of these records.

I love these competitions. As a physician, I worry about the health and longevity of these men but do not deny that it is their pleasure and choice. They are just amazing in their feats. I come from a family of Norwegian immigrants. My grandfather, father, and uncles were legendary in the farming community for their strength but they were no where near what these men can do.
Eddie's half ton will always be THE classic but...MY GOD, if you don't cry at least a little while rewatching Felix's Hercules Hold, you simply don't have a heart

Mateusz Kieliszkowski has to be the strongest man ever who has never won WSM. He is too weak in the deadlift and stones to win it all, but in terms of athleticism, he's practically in a class by himself. Similar to Pudzianowski in his skillset.
Eddie's 472.5 at World's was in my opinion the more impressive pull he did. All these events that he had relatively less control of, and he still came out and pulled the second-heaviest deadlift in history for a speed rep

Thor had so much benefit from his size compared to hall/hollands. Size does matter in truck/plane pulls
