Most will say the tearing open the sky part is their favorite line in this dialogue (and it is awesome and badass and heartfelt) but this one always gets me too every time I re-read it.

I’ve literally never read anything involving tailgate or cyclonus but I ship them so much.
You'd love one of the later IDW issues. Basically he thought Tailgate died, so right then and there, he just poured all his love at him.
For a guy who claims he doesn't care about anything or anyone, Whirl is a surprisingly thoughtful person when trying to encourage the people he cares about. Also:

Yep! In the Lost Light continuation, Cyclonus eventually admits his love to Tailgate and they become conjunx endura. Which is basically soulmates/life partners. (I'm actually going to upload that soon when I get the chance.)
