I would like some real world testing, to show any gains in performance.
Track runs from stock to cold air intakes. Somthing like 3/ tenths in 1/4 would be worth it.

Completely wrong about aluminum lol. Aluminum is a super conductor it heats up fast and cools fast.

I kind of can't take the rest of the video seriously after that "hot take" on aluminum!

@AmericanTrucksRam I have a 2018 Ram Rebel 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. I would love to get the S&B cold air intake for my truck, but the last time I tried buying it from your website I got an email saying that it is considered and illegal modification for my car since I live in California and that I would not be able to get the part sent out to me. Is this still the case or can I order the intake regardless and get it sent to me directly

We recommend to get a CARB (California Air Resources Board) approved intake system if you still live in California. It will have a CARB EO number that is required to pass emissions. All of the intakes listed on our site that are CARB certified will be listed as such with an EO number.

Depends where you pick up air.
On my truck the pipe opens at front grill.
So the air is forced into a closed system without circulating around manifold, and heat from engine.
With the large cone it can intake more of the cooler air.
It's 100 degrees now where I live, if it picked it up on side fender the air would be hotter. If it was open the air would be much hotter mixing with heat from engine.
Right now I have a drop in Sq K N filter that is sealed.
I am considering if there would be a difference between it and a larger cone.

No, it's getting plenty of air, it's your filter that is restricted. Also, the box keeps the heat out so you get colder air.
