- A review of the Razer Seiren V2 Pro and a comparison to the Blue Yeti, HyperX QuadCast, Samson Q2U, and Razer Seiren Elite.
The Razer Seiren V2 Pro is a USB dynamic mic and an updated version of the Razer Seiren Elite. It fixes the Elite's main issue, but adds its own as well. I do vocal tests, keyboard typing tests, and speak about the plosive rejection, sibilance, and software.

I had the same issue with synapse as well. Pissed me off and made me want to throw the mic away lol. I'm going to order the samson q2u to try it out and gonna record some audio on obs to see the difference. I'll be keeping whichever one sounds better to me. Thanks for the honest review.
For real, the software is supposed to be a major selling point, so the fact Synapse just doesn't work is unfortunate.

I'm kind of confused on what to get now tho. I thought the V2 was a better mic... but i still prefer the sound of the Yeti... not to mention the software problems lol. Also the Yeti is much cheaper here.
P.s. Btw, I just wish sometimes you could add with big letters on the screen which mic you are talking to. At least I could still see from the windows mic settings, so that did help (it was hard to see on my small laptop, kind of tiny lol)
Now that the Blue Yeti has been made compatible with Logitech G Hub (which has its own issues) that lets you add some really nice filters like background noise rejection, I think the Yeti is better.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews So far I agree. I saw many other reviews (many... = 3... the reviews are so rare of the V2 LOL) and everytime the Yeti sounds better to me and my friends.
Shame cus the V2 is cheap and the Yeti here is 200$. The regular old Yeti is 145$... even worse than the day 1 price of it. I refuse to buy second hand anything sooo yeah :P
what you mentioned is a great practice for all kinds of different subjects.
Like for history videos, I've seen some good channels put the year on the top left always visible. it helps so much.

Do you have a suggestion for a mic that I can use while using speakers (behind it) as well?
Do you mean you'll be talking into it at the same time other audio is coming from your speakers? Kind of a rough situation, I guess the Q2U or Shure SM7B could block out some of the noise, but if you can hear the speakers, the mic definitely will pick it up.

Nice review! That synapse story was funny af 😂. OG kiyo pro user here, the firmware update didn’t work when I tried it like the first two times, but then it eventually installed.

@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews I got the Kiyo Pro recently. It was batch 2110, firmware updates went fine, but I had a chance to get 2120 and exchanged out for good measure. The earlier batch numbers seem to have the most problems updating firmware. If it keeps messing up Razer will replace it.
I had the exact same thing happen to my razer headset mic that happened to his mic.
the issues you had with synapse I have been having with my hyperx quadcast s. Their software/firmware update bricked my mic. I like the mic but it will just randomly stop detecting audio. I can hear my voice come through if im plugged into the mic but windows doesnt show any audio. I've spent days trying to get it working. Super frustrating. Was hoping the Razer mic would be good because I was considering returning my quadcast s to get a razer since I'm using a razer keyboard and mouse already.

Yeah, both software have issues. I didn't have that happen to my QuadCast S, but the NGENUITY software stopped detecting two of my headsets. If you want a replacement, I'd just get the Samson Q2U. Better mic, no bloated software.

Which microphone would be most suitable in a room where there is a fair amount of background noise such as TV and other people talking?
I had the headset hyperx cloud stinger and it filtered everything out. but would rather not have a mic on the headphone anymore.
I tried the razer seiren mini but unfortunately you could hear everything in the background.
Samson Q2U has the best background noise rejection of these. It's not an active filter though. If you're in a room that loud, you might want a software filter like RTX voice (free if you have an NVIDIA graphics card) or Krisp.

No idea, but I ended up selling this a couple months ago and it was still buggy.
How's the Seiren V2 X compared to the V2 Pro?

@@Starfals I actually saw some reviews of the V2 X (including one from randomfrankp which is in his top 1 new usb mics from 2021) and I have bought one myself.
The sound is kind of similar to the seiren elite and wayyyy different than the V2 Pro (It actually sounds better for some reason lol!).
Give it a shot if you are curious!
The only problem with the V2 X are the plosives so...a pop filter and maybe even combining it with a windscreen is mandatory. (ALSO a shockmount)
The sound itself is really good! And 50% cheaper.
Seems to pick up those S's pretty badly.
Great microphone but it still falls short to the Elgato Wave.

i got the seiren X v.1 right beside my keyboard and it is now roughly 3 years old. never dissapointed me. tho i had SOME issues with discord rejecting it and reverting to camera/headset microphone input. but this got resolved after the first clean re-install of my OS (i am a real OS jumper. i tend to stay with linux for a huge amount of my time because it is just better and nicer and everything. but i am forced to return because of microshit´s bribing of developers in the past. nowadays most stuff only works with windos.. (the stuff i need to work and that doesnt otherwhise is the oculus quest store+games and visual studio from the microshit store))
I think the Samson Q2u sounds the best, welp guess I'm taking my yeti back🤦🏿♂️😭
