I am brunette and have been using this product for about 6 months. I absolutely adore it. At first I wasn't sure because it came out so fast. There really is a technique to using this. I didn't want to have to dye my hair as frequently, so I was determined to make this product work. Once you get the correct pressure on the sprayer and the correct sweeping motion, this product will work wonders. I now color every 12 weeks. I keep a makeup wipe nearby to use on my hairline if I get any on my skin. It wipes right off the skin. Since I've been using this product, I have received more compliments on my hair than I ever have. Because I'm not dying as frequently, my hair is getting healthier. It lasts 2 full days in my hair as well. Because it has the texture of dry shampoo, it keeps my hair from getting greasy. I used to wash my hair every day because it was greasy. I now wash every other day. Probably another reason why my hair is looking healthier. I think if you continue to work on your technique, you will really learn to love this product. TFS!!

I don't usually comment on videos but I had to thank you. I bought this and hated it....did not think it worked. (I am used to powder) After I watched your video, I went back and put it on just like you did. Turns out I was not using enough and covering enough. It looks great, thank you!

Hi!! First and foremost, I love your channel. Your honesty and "girl next door" qualities are rare to find on this form of social media...so a big thank you. Now as for your "silver" hair...as much as your not ready to let it go...the little that you have allowed us to see is absolutely stunning.

This was super helpful, I'm 57, a brunette but half my head at the front is silver/white. I was bleaching to lighten the dark at the back but my scalp is screwed up at this time so I was trying to find something I could try for my roots and you have really helped me with your demo! Thanx so much!!

The color of your silver hair is really pretty! It will look elegant if you ever decide to stop dyeing. Thanks for this review - I see that it comes in a red color too and I think I'll give it a try! I'm shocked at how many more greys show up in my roots every time they grow out, but other redheads in my family went grey earlier than me even so I shouldn't be surprised. (Still, on my own head, it's like - wow. haha)

I think it matches really well! I am going to pick up a bottle for the days right before I color my hair and can't stand the roots. I have a white streak in my hair as well and in the last year have seen more and more grey/silver hairs when it's time to color. You did a great demo and it looks really natural. Thanks for doing this or I would have probably never bothered trying it. You look gorgeous as always by the way! xoxo

I had dark brown hair when I was younger. The whole top (crown) of my head is almost white but not quite - and since the back is mixed dark and white regrowth, I get my hair colored a lighter brown. Then my hairdresser puts in some foils with a blonde color and it looks great - until the roots grow in.
I tried a spray called “Age beautiful” in light golden brown last week for just along my hairline and for my part. It worked well - you do have to build up to the color depth/coverage you want. It did not get on my skin at all - as their video instructions (agebeautiful.com) say. I did not have to clean my forehead! It looks great and my older sister - who only the week before told me I needed my color done - said “oh I see you took my advice and got your touch-up!” LOL - I did not tell her my secret!
I am very pleased with this purchase. The 2 oz can cost me $6.59 at Sally’s - a great buy! The spray nossel (sp?) is easy to use as well!

This is a must for me. I use the medium and light brown.I've been using it for 2 years now. My hair grows kinda fast so after I dye it the greys come back in 3 weeks. To help spread it better I have a spray bottle of water and spritz that on too and brush.

It works for me not coloring my hair too often which is better for the hair. I have patches of gray at the front hair at my age of 50+. It stays in my hair till I wash it with shampoo, getting my hair wet in the rain doesn't wash it out I've noticed last week.

I have same color hair as you, with graying around hairline. I just bought dp hue spray at ULTA today and I love it!! It was 28$ but the color is better and covers more then the brand you used. It also has a fine tip optional applicator that seems to project a better stream. Try it! So great! I have light medium blond hair and I am using the dark blond. So I say try a shade darker then your hair, and its perfect! They will take it back if its wrong color or you don't like it. I've been trying all kinds of dyes, literally did roots 3 days ago and couldn't get rid of it. This spray is a miracle! Plus, it lasts all day and didn't stain my skin, as its really white around my temples. Thanks for the video!

WOW! Not sure how it looks in person, but on camera, it looks GREAT!! I saw those @ my local drugstore & considered getting the brunette one to touch up my roots, but unfortunately, I have multiple colors in my hair & am not sure how it will work. However, it might be worth it to try because, like yourself, my silver roots show up within 2 weeks too!! Thanks for taking the time to try this product out!

I definitely need practice applying since I went a little too heavy in that one spot, but with practice I think this product will definitely come in handy! And I think you should give it a try. I think the more colors you have in your hair the more likely it is to blend well. Btw, I actually like the color better off camera than I do on camera. :) Hope you have a great week!

Your beautiful with blonde. But the silver looks very nice too. I am going into my 4th month no more dye. And I love blonde and it’s what I get at the salon. But ever since the pandemic and everything shutting down. I embraced my silver/grey. And I am loving it. I know at 6 months it’s gonna be very obvious but it’s ok I am going all the way. Since I have stopped the dye my hair feels so so healthy and feels thicker. It’s made a difference just in the first 3 months of no dye. Have a great day and stay safe.

Hi Cynthia :) When I color my hair I usually use a Dark Cool Blonde on the base and then I throw in some high-lights in random places, mainly around my face and along my part. But I seem to pull some warm colors no matter what shades I use. I hope that's what you were asking. Lol! With this L'oreal product it just comes in 4 shades, black, blonde, brown and red, so I used the blonde. :) Hope you have a fabulous week!

Tip on getting self tanner off your hands. I use a little toothpaste and table salt for some grainy texture than scrub with a kitchen sponge the rough srubber side and go to town washing & scrubbing. This works better than any other method. Try it, and let me know if it works for you.?

I dye to an auburn colour (I'm 100% grey). At about 3 weeks, there is regrowth. I use light brown and hold the nozzle really close to my part. This works well to cover the regrowth and get me a full month before I need to recolour. I haven't tried it as a more overall colour.

I have to dye every 2 to 3 wks also! As you, I get the stripe and side silver it's a hassle. I have use this and other brand sprays to disguise my gray. It's ok, at best for me with dark brown hair. It is great for nights out or special occasions only in my opinion. With the darker it smears, if I comb my hair it gets on comb prongs, or I put my hands in hair it gets on fingers or hands, so not great. Plus, my thoughts is it cannot be healthy for your scalp. It clogs pores and hair follicles, it gets kinda itchy and feels dirty. So, I just go ahead and dye the roots sooner than later :)

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  8 лет назад +1

Hi Tammy :) That stinks that it smears. Is it the L'oreal that smears or the other brands? I've only used this product a couple of time and both times my hair was pulled back, so I didn't brush it or mess with it much after I sprayed it. But when I applied it today I brushed it several times, trying to get the product to spread and it wouldn't move whatsoever. I didn't notice it transferring either, but I'm also using a blonde shade and not a brown. I agree...probably not for every day use, but in a pinch, it would definitely come in handy. :)

Looks pretty good on your hair but I tried it (the light-med blonde) and it looked gold/orange on me. I did the same thing by building up so that it would look more "natural" but the tone never worked for my hair. Really difficult to wash out too. Your hair is pretty - you still have some dark in your natural color - mine is all white which could also be affecting the results.

I have being using this root spray since age 40 for my widening hair part. I do not spray the actual part directly. I use a fish tail comb to move the hair and spray. You can’t scratch your head or you’ll get the color on your fingers. I am 43 now. For dark hair you have like a one chance, less is more kind of thing. You also have to shake the can very well.
All these medical advances and nothing for hair loss or thinning yet 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
I just recently added a dry scalp shampoo because it is alcohol and a once a week clarifying shampoo for the gunk that gets missed.

I am 21 and I have a huge streak of silver hair! It sort of runs down both sides of my head but more so on the right side. Unfortunately I decided to bleach my hair and I hated blonde hair on me so I had to dye my hair black again. Now I have to watch my silver hair re-grow with will be a pain as it will look weird. I have gotten an inch of growth so far and it looks like I have white residue in my hair lol. I might try this spray while I wait for the white to re-grow. It works great!

I think you should look for some touch up POWDER. I have tried quite a few, and depending on your hair color, some look better and more natural than others. But a lot of grocery stores carry them. I've been using one called Everpro Gray Away Root Touch Up Concealer. It's in the shade Light Brown/Medium blonde and it works great! I literally have to use it 2 weeks out of every month, just to get by. Btw, I wear my hair a little darker these days. Check my latest video to see my hair color. I have it on in that video. 💕

You put me in mind of the late Marti Caine (UK) and I think you would look absolutely great going your natural 'silver' all over. You're also one of few women, owing to your bone structure and eye colour, who would suit short hair

I would have never thought you were my age! You look so so young but your gray hair gives it away. I’ve decided to stop dying my gray hair today but I’m not sure now. 🙁

I like your demonstration. It's a tad harder spraying on brown hair (dark, medium or light) colour. It's messy. Do you know a brunette who could put a similar video? I need to find out how I can remove over-sprayed areas around my face. Thanks for uploading your video to RUclips. Good service.

I have used the Clairol Root Touch Up for years. It comes in many colors and you section your hair and apply with the brush provided. It covers my roots for 2 weeks and that is how I stretch time between colorings to save money. It looks natural, covers better than sprays and powders and no reapplying everytime you wash your hair. Plus if you get caught in the rain, no color dripping down your face. Besides Jennifer, you can still see your greys underneath and I bet in person you can see the powder. Sorry, too messy for me. Really try the Clairol product, it comes in multiple blonde shades.

I'm Rachel and I am on my fiance's account....I really really appreciate your information on the other product, that is similar and actually sounds like a better option, Thank You. I am new to, doing anything at home, especially with my hair...I have been going to the salon for 30 years, for all of my hair care and color needs and with some unseen changes in my life, which unfortunately has resulted in having a lot less money...I am now doing everything that I can think of , to spend a lot less money while maintaining my lifestyle and looks... at a fraction of what I am accustom to spending ...as well as watch every penny I spend... Therefore, any and all advice, that can help me in doing so...is huge to me. Again, thank you so much for the information, I appreciate it...I am going to see if I can figure out how to follow you on here, it hopes of getting more great advice 😊. Have a great week

hi Jen looks great however i found the powder "colour wow" to work alot better as this allows you to get right to the end of the hair shaft but not your scalp leaving it more natural especially the bits around the sides near the ear. you can buy this from amazon and will last you alot longer than the spray and better for the ozone too x
it will stay in the hair untiil you wash it out. uts amazing and soo cheapv😘

I have used brown hair version and only use it when i am desparate because I get an allgeric reaction. Itchy with some welts. Can't use hair spray, color powders, gels, dry shampoo... you get the idea. If anyone has some alternative suggestions would love to hear them (even tried dark chocolate powder - no go). As a side I also have to color my hair evey couple of weeks and my hair is a shiny silver too.

Hi Sharon, have you tried henna?, it's a natural dye which comes from a plant called Lawsonia alba, there are a lot of information on Google and demos on youtube abut it, I hope to have been helpful, I know it's frustrating, I'm allergic too.
