I just bought the tarte and it now comes in a little ¨dabber tube¨ for lack of a better word. It works really well and it is so easy! I had used all of the root cover ups that you reviewed and always went back to the Loreal. I have light brown to dark blonde with some highlights as well. When I started going more ash blonde in my highlights, the blond Loreal spray appeared way too yellow. This tarte root cover up is absolutely perfect!
That’s so great to hear. I literally have it in my hair right now. Due for a new one. I will have to go check out the new packaging. Thanks for the feed back and for watching😊
I have medium brown hair that’s colored blonde and I’m turning gray. I found by spraying the L’Oréal brand sprays on a big cotton ball first & quickly rubbing it on (before it dries) it helps to look more natural & blend easier, without having excess spray on unwanted parts. Obviously I waste more like this, but this brand is less expensive than the others you mentioned. When I spray directly on, it helps to use super short bursts of spray & I also hold it closer than 6 inches when I do the shorter sprays. To the questions about sweat and washing before coloring…I‘be never had it run and my hairdresser also tells me it’s fine to have in my hair before coloring. I do wish the L’Oréal sprays had more of a shine to them though.
Thanks for the tips. Obviously I have all of these because I am always looking to improve the process. I do agree that L’Oreal gives the treated area a full look. My hair stylist says the same thing when I go in for color but in my mind I just want nothing in the way of grabbing on to my unsightly white that I loathe 😂 thanks for your comment it is much appreciated.
Thanks for watching ☺️ For me, gray hair just sucks. There some women that look so beautiful and rock it, and I love it. I don’t see myself stopping any time soon.
I dye my roots at home and never go to the hair dresser anymore except for trims. I started getting my own supplies at the beauty supply store when the pandemic started in 2000. I wear pony tails and just touch up my roots with the spray or the powder until I am ready to color my roots. My hair is only white on the top crown area and the bottom is still natural so I can hold off for a little bit longer. The spray is the easiest and best coverage but the feeling it leaves behind is not great.
Hi , great i have used the spray on and agree with the cons of it . There is one product you didnt mention us Hair mascara which is very good around hairline when you have to be precise and no colour gets on the skin say if you sprayed it . ❤
It is much easier than these emergency solutions with sprays to do a small coloring process, limiting yourself to the crown region and, if necessary, the roots of the face in order to be able to wear ponytails. Such a limited coloring process between coloring appointments only takes a few minutes and is, in my opinion, much easier than applying new sprays etc. after every wash.
So it’s so funny you say this. I actually do exactly what you’re saying. These are something for people that just don’t feel comfortable coloring or for people like me who use them in emergency situations, like after I’ve colored and I totally miss a chunk of white hair that still needs some attention. All of that to say I totally agree. Thanks for watching.
I’m so sorry for the delay. I have looked and looked but can not find it. I think it may be discontinued. 🫤 I am always on the look out for something new something better. I think I’m gong to give Waverlo a try. I may even need to do a video on it. It’s getting great reviews. With my gray coming in literally in 2 weeks of coloring having options is a must.
Yes there are pros and cons. The pro is that it’s quick it covers and you do not have to do it everyday. I don’t wash my hair everyday, more like every 2-3 days, so it pretty much lasts in between washes. I may have to touch up a spot here and there. The con is you need to be careful on your pillow. I have gone to every 3 weeks doing a root touch up with actual color. Between the powder and the color it gets me through to my salon visit. The struggles of having gray hair and just not ready to have it show 😜thanks for watching
I do. My color girls wears it’s not necessary but in my mind I think I do not want anything getting in the way of getting color coded n my unsightly white😂
I think you’re safe with the powders. Press into the root area. I will say if you wipe where the color is it will come off, but I don’t think it will drip down.
No on either of those questions. When applying I do more of a dabbing application. So you are pressing on the hair rather than brushing which would be beneficial for you if you are worried about losing any extra hair than necessary. It will actually make it look thicker.
L’Oréal review is spot on - I’m looking for vegan and cruelty free products and am not impressed with the colour wow I feel I’ve been ripped off it’s dusty too and all over my face 😢 are your top 2 vegan and cruelty free (I think tarte is)
How did you apply it? If you take the angled brush end and use a dabbing motion it will absolutely cover. Honestly all of the powders if you just brush on they don’t do the job, but with this one the dabbing technique it does. I have pretty dark hair at the roots (minus the white that creeps in 😉)
Great review been struggling with this too appreciate such an honest review ❤😊
I really needed someone to review the L'oréal one. Thanks for posting this! :D
I use L’Oréal but it’s itchy ons calp
Thank you so much. I will stick with Bumble because Tarte has talc in it. I do not want to inhale talc at all.

Do you purchase it from Amazon?
@@veniciaprice6063 no I purchased mine from Ulta.
@@veniciaprice6063 I purchased it from Tarte´s website.
Thanks for these reviews! I’ll try the Tarte one! ❤
Gray hair is a struggle. Let me know how you like it. Thanks for watching.

don't color your hair if you have something on top.. it will likely affect your color service 😊
You did a nice review, thank you.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing your opinions on these products. It was very helpful! ☺️
Gray hair is such a struggle for all of us. Hopefully you can find something that works for you.

Totally agree about the feeling of the spray.
Great content
Thank you so much!! Decided to go for the Tarte brand! Is also way healthier a product as well
Let me know what you think!

If you apply this with hair kinda wet and add shine oil rub in and blow dry
it works great!
Wow, thank you for these reviews. I was going to buy MR and decided, based of your opinions, to try both BB and Tarte. Brilliant.
The struggle is real. We gotta work together on this grey hair business. Thanks for watching☺️

I'd honestly rather wait until I'm ready to get a full root touch up than processing it in between. I'll stick with root spray
Great video 👍
Thank you for watching!
Notification squad. .lets get into this 💃
Thank you! I’m going to try Tarte. Where to get it?

Has anyone tried the brand “Style Edit?” (2 oz. spray can)
Pro and con on how long it last? Do you need,to do it everyday? Once a,week or when there is,new growth?

Do you have to wash out the Tarte before doing permanent color/
I do. My color girls wears it’s not necessary but in my mind I think I do not want anything getting in the way of getting color coded n my unsightly white😂
I live in Florida. As you know, it’s HOT AND HUMID, lots of sweating going on just stepping outside. Will these run down my face when I sweat?
I think you’re safe with the powders. Press into the root area. I will say if you wipe where the color is it will come off, but I don’t think it will drip down.
What color of bumble and bumble did you use?
I unfortunately don’t have it any longer but I know it was a brown/dark brown.
When I color my hair in a reddish dark blond, I cover my gray with a powder blush.
Great tip. I have used eye shadow when I just couldn’t find the right color.
Is it unhealthy for your hair and will it cause your hair to fall out quicker than normal! My hair is fine but getting thinner.
No on either of those questions. When applying I do more of a dabbing application. So you are pressing on the hair rather than brushing which would be beneficial for you if you are worried about losing any extra hair than necessary. It will actually make it look thicker.

Yes Tarte would be.
What colour do you use on the Big Ego please I'm in the UK thanks
I use the Dark Brown. I still love it. If you get it let me know what you think. Thanks for watching.
The overspray with the Loreal is the worst. I always ended up with spots of color on my face.
Same!!! I have tried so many different ways to make it work but it’s just not for me.
I just bought the tarte cover up and it really doesn’t do much to cover the grey hair. I wouldn’t recommend it for dark hair.
How did you apply it? If you take the angled brush end and use a dabbing motion it will absolutely cover. Honestly all of the powders if you just brush on they don’t do the job, but with this one the dabbing technique it does. I have pretty dark hair at the roots (minus the white that creeps in 😉)
Why would you colour down the sides when no one can see it ,just the centre parting is visible…😊
Just to be safe. I wear my hair up quite often. 😉
