While I am interested in seeing the 3d aesthetic for the sequel... I still think this version looks a lot cooler. I do hope there's a new weapon. There's space for it considering the grenade launcher and shotgun were alts of each other but also bound to separate numbers.
i kinda like her too. tbh, i never understood the hate towards her in IonFury. i have no love for campy characters or cheesy one liners, but she is not that bad at all, definitely not as bad as ppl make her out to be. none of her dialogues are intrusive or distracting/intrusive, also her VA performance is not bad by any standard either
0:42 in a dark alternate world of Terminator 2 it's the heroine who haphazardly drops from elevations onto roads on her bike while the poor T1000 is just trying to make it as a truck driver and driving in strict accordance to road traffic regulations.
Idk why it took so long for this build engine expansion DLC lol. Took about as long as Cyberpunk DLC did and we all know what they needed focus on before even remotely thinking about that DLC 😂
@@jose131991 Aftershock was made by passionate modders mostly in their spare time (for real, Voidpoint is not a full time job for all it's developers) and on a comparatively shoestring budget. Phantom Liberty had all the people and truckloads of money of the original Cyberpunk behind it. Both games aren't comparable at all. If anything it says a lot about the dev's passion for this game that it could be made at all.
@charlesglensworth8601 I got to the helicopter boss on normal and on easy I didn't even get that far just up to the first boss the mech and the preceding level burnt through most my health and ammo so couldn't beat the boss

A staple of cyberpunk worlds is corporations getting greedy and forcing users to buy ever newer tech until they can no longer afford it, because the drive for corporate profit impoverishes entire communities. Same thing with body modifications and implants, which gives rise to hacking and improvised repairs and bootleg mods.
Shelly's version of the "Duke never shuts up and just constantly references movies and things" is so hilariously bad. The sheer number of weird non sequitors she drops in just the race alone -- "Haven't you heard of the healing power of laughter?" Nobody told a joke, Shelly, what are you on about?
I’m pretty certain that there’s an option to turn Shelly’s dialogue off - I’ve not tried it, but there’s an option labelled “silent protagonist” in the settings

It's not really aesthetically targeting. It's running on an upgraded version of Build. It's DNA is from that era of the 90s, hence the look.

I’m impressed that Doctor Heskel, the big bad from the first game, apparently survived the ending of the first game
Not to mention make some apparently new and deadlier cyborg enemies, that look like a pain to face. (Gas Grenade Troopers especially)
If you noclip inside the dome when it explodes you can see that Heskel has a secret crawl space to escape.

It's the same autoaim that's in Duke3D, which is what Ion Fury is built from. It can be disabled.

@@Ericozzz Nope. If you aim the crosshair at an enemy sprite, the autoaim turns off automatically so you can place shots more precisely.
