Long ago I watched some documentary about the Angels, where they enlisted the help of real angels to help them win. Why don't they do that again? Are the real angels still around, or did they already retire from baseball? It's been close to 30 years since they did that.

Exactly, I don't mind a rebuild whatsoever but actually commit to it. Them picking up a piece or 2 every off season and pretending that's enough is bullshit. Although this is all useless conjecture if Arte doesn't sell the team. We can't do a damn thing with him as the owner.

Im an avid angels fan, and to say this is the hardest time being a fan of this dumpster fire is an understatement. However, the only way I personally think this team will be fixed is if somehow Moreno finally sells. No matter who the team signs, it does not fix anything. Moreno is all about the flashy free agents to generate merchandise sales and fills seats. But neglects everything else such as refusing to invest in the farm, short handing the front office compared to most other teams, and investing in technology to help the players. Its embarrassing and I do not expect much now or in the near future till he sells the team.
No matter what coach we fire, hire, or players we sign. We will be in the same spot from this past season to 6 years ago. Arte Moreno is the dark angel of this franchise and cursed the team.
Angels don't need a rebuild. Many people don't seem to realize the Angels are a very young team already. All they need is to convince Shohei to stay and they need what they've needed the last 15 years, staring pitching.
starting pitching I meant to type. They need to make some changes, they keep starting the season with Sandoval, saurez and detmers. If the go with this again next season then the results will be the freaking same!

In addition to trout getting traded, the angels also need to part ways with Carlos Estevez and Taylor Ward. They are both out of the the rebuild timeline. No point in keeping them

Max Fried had some injury issues recently. They should sign Corbin Burnes instead because he's durable and grew up as an Angels fan.
Making some huge assumptions for FAs down the road but the immediate needs that need to be addressed are spot on. No half measures on rebuilds. Seeing trout in Philly just seems right too.

A mike trout to phillies trade seems to be the only logical destination for him, but i do think that it would most likely be a 3 team deal. I think they would much rather have Harper back in the outfield so id say schwarber would have to get offloaded somewhere. He could still play DH or maybe 1B but i think the phillies would rather take trout and possibly resign hoskins for a 1 year prove it than keep schwarber
I’m pretty sure Hoskins is gone. Harper is staying at 1st. Just my opinion
Phillies fan here, I doubt we risk getting trout with his injury history but if we do, no way were dropping Schwarber like that, he's our best power hitter and I think if we get rid of anyone its Hoskins or we ship off castellanos, but again I don't think they would risk getting trout after everything he's had in recent years, but only time will tell.

1) Arte sales the team. That would fix a whole lot of things for the team. 2) Stop gutting the farm system. They get good to great talent but then 2-3 years later they trade them for over the hill players while the players they trade take off and do great

As a phillies fan , I would love to have trout in philly but I don't think its worth trading those prospects. Only if the angels ate a lot of the contract I would then move Trout to LF
Due to his recent injury history they won't trade their top pitching prospect (mostly because of Tommy John) so Abel is the best option. I don't think they'll trade Crawford but maybe Rojas.
@@MChuck- It's still a no for me. Rojas has a chance to be the best CF the phillies have been looking for. Crawford is waiting & still have Marsh till 2028. If there was a team to trade for him I think he goes to the cubs , he would fit well there. As long as its not the braves or yankees that trade for him
@stevengarrison1019 If Trout can be Trout and stay healthy then you make the trade. Also, Trout would either play LF or CF with Marsh moving to LF.
@@MChuck- If he's healthy I would have to fully think on it because with the emergence of Rojas & we have Pache as well. Crawford & De La Cruz waiting in the wings , I would rather go sign pitching & keep our prospects.

1) CHANGE THE NAME BACK TO ANAHEIM ANGELS.

Valid except for one major point: THERE IS NO FIXING THE ANGELS.
As a 20+ year Angel fan, I can confirm that this team is DONE in Anaheim. None of the locals want them here anymore; they'll sell you tickets for floor popcorn and a Chinese finger-trap at this point because nobody goes to the games anymore. Arte's desperate, and the cruel irony is that after signing so many marquee free agents to albatross contracts, he's the only one that is pretty much guaranteed miss out on Ohtani, who is arguably the one player that may have actually been worth the money outside of Trout. He built his LA super team and acted like he'd won the World Series in December. Now, his team is gone, outside of the scraps and crumbs leftover. Not to mention how much value he lost by not selling the team last year! This season lost him HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars on his hypothetical team sale. Everybody loses, including him. A disgraceful end for a disgraced owner.
That said, anybody with any shred of promise should be shipped off immediately as they use the next decade to prepare for their move out of the city, and hopefully California altogether. No Max Fried, no Vlad Jr., no developing the young core. Let them be good somewhere else because they will never reach their full potential here. A complete rebrand is also in order, including dropping the Angels name entirely, especially since there's nothing angelic about this sinful cesspool franchise. They wish they were angels, but they're not even fairies.
As it stands, this team has no justifiable place amongst the other 29 major league organizations. Lack of on-field success, lack of team identity, lack of clubhouse accountability, loss of former fans who no longer support the team, not many new fans outside of the Ohtani people, mounting legal troubles, a stadium deal about to expire, a corrupt backrooms deal with the mayor of Anaheim to develop the stadium (he pled guilty a couple days ago, and the Angels were supposed to donate $1 million to his campaign in return, so they're absolutely not in the clear), employing one of the KEY perpetrators in the ball-doctoring scandal (former visiting clubhouse manager Bubba Harkins), TAKING TYLER SKAGGS' FAMILY TO COURT, and complete, utter, catastrophic ineptitude in running a baseball team has doomed this organization beyond any meaningful repair. I don't even want to see them succeed anymore. It would feel wrong to see such a morally bankrupt organization have any sort of success when they know exactly what's going on in the background.
There is simply no reason for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Santa Ana of Long Beach of wherever the fuck they're from to exist anymore. They are a clueless, tainted, corrupted franchise, and any shred of credibility they had left is gone. They are merely an elaborate con scheme to sell tickets and make money for Arte's trust fund. Anybody with two eyes and a brain should be able to understand that this team is useless, meaningless, and pointless in the greater scope of MLB. End it now before it gets any worse.
If there is good left in this world, this team will not exist past 2030. Hopefully earlier. We don’t want them to succeed; we want them to leave.

The Angels are not and will not ever be a winner again. Arte’s made sure of that. If he does not sell and instead chooses to pass it along within his family like the Wilpons did with the Mets, then the Angels absolutely need to take their “team” somewhere else.
Even if he doesn’t sell the team, the Angels still need to go. I appreciate that you love the Angels still, my friend, it warms my heart, but you are absolutely a minority. They need to bulldoze the stadium and put up a shit ton of affordable housing to address the rampant homeless crisis instead of waiting for the Angels to stop floundering around and hopefully, hypothetically, start playing real baseball again. Otherwise, use that plot of land with that rotting stadium for something that isn’t a complete waste of time and space.
California never needed 5 baseball teams anyway. SoCal alone has 3! Might as well get rid of the worst one that has, by far, the least projectability moving forward.

We're not fans of a baseball team, but of a dysfunctional, wannabe crime syndicate that has no idea what the fuck the first thing is that they're doing with their money. The mentality is "lie about being good, get money from the fans, lose season, fire some scapegoats, provide fans with false hope, get more money next year anyway because people will always pay to see guys like Trout, Ohtani, Pujols, Hamilton, Rendon, etc."
The Angels are okay with being okay because Arte's still making bank no matter what. Now, though, we're at a point where Arte has lost all the value on the team that he'd accumulated just one year ago, and he may just be too stubborn to let go. He'll take this shit to the grave if it means he upholds what little reputation he has left.
Every single Angels fan, player, and employee is completely and utterly at the expense of this increasingly senile billionaire that sympathizes less with his actual team and more with homophobic right-wing politicians (Trump, Rick Santorum, and Matt Salmon, who forced his gay son through conversion therapy at 18 years old. His son is, shockingly, still gay. Arte gives thousands to these people and still has the audacity to host a pride night, knowing EXACTLY where that money he earns from queer people is going to go).

I think people really underrate the Angels going into next year especially when they have Neto, Schanuel, O’Hoppe, Moniak, and Rengifo. Those are 5 incredible players going into next season and that’s not even mentioning Taylor Ward and Jo Adel (I think Adel is going to have a breakout year)
