The Kia Sorento has a VERY capable AWD system. That locking diff button makes ALL the difference for these vehicles. Granted it only has 7.3in of ground clearance so you need to know it's limitations. But equip it with the proper tires like a pair of Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails and this vehicle will surprise the hell out of you in terms of what it can handle. 6+in of unplowed snow roads, and muddy fire roads NO PROBLEM. Where a similar Chevy Equinox or Ford Escape with no locking diff button and just an automatic AWD system that figures everything out for you would DEFINITELY be struggling.
The BMW driver is just a noob and brings itself in trouble again and again. Straight down the hill but he drove left and right.... whatever I wondered the BMW can go on with the other ones. It's more a boulevard SUV than a offroader
LOVE THE SORENTO
