The problem with ES6 is that it cannot possibly live up to the hype surrounding it. Skyrim is so loved by so many at this point, that everybody is almost guaranteed to be disappointed in some way shape or form. That’s why I’m not even worried about it at this point. It’ll drop when it drops.
Just like Final Fantasy 15. Ten years in production gives people a whole lot of time to develop the game in their head and build it into something it couldn’t possibly be. Then a good game releases but because it isn’t what people imagined it to be, they hate it

I think starfields biggest flaw was it was too big and the exploration. TES 6 is gonna be just a province, so I expect Bethesda will go back to their classic exploration. Fallout 76 was probably their worst game and it still is probably one of the best map they’ve made. I’m glad Bethesda got starfield out and now they can see what exactly the community didn’t like

Starfield Had a lot more dialogue and dialogue options that fallout 4. Skyrim in recent times was probably their most dumbed down RPG, I’m mostly worried about the exploration and and TES6 being too giant, but I doubt they’ll make TES6 massive

I am only just playing Skyrim for my first time, so discovering this games existence, well, progress in that direction, makes it feel like a very short time to wait for the next game despite learning of how very long it has been. I also own both PS and Xbox but 90% of my games have been gifted to me as Xbox games, so I rarely touch my other consoles.
I think as long as god of war, helldivers and Spiderman come to Xbox I see not reason why cod and elder scrolls can't come to PlayStation. And before you all go yapping, I own a pc, exclusivity is stupid.
I've just started my first ever modded Skyrim playthrough, and to be honest your shooting yourself in the foot if you buy a vanilla console version. I'm not worried about when it's released, I'm more worried about how Bethesda will fuck up this game up, if Starfield is a sign of things to come I'm worried. Because Elder Scrolls 6 isn't the only game that Bethesda is making that folks want to come out. Fallout 5 is also in production. Just like GTA 6, and several other games.

If Starfield was 25 years in the making, with 8 in development…then Bethesda has lost their magic. Whatever sauce made Skyrim great has been squeezed out of them. We used to excuse their technical skills with the engine limitations; but they are choosing not to evolve technically now. We used to excuse their poor characters storylines as cute, but now it’s just insulting. Starfield was a disappointment. ES6 is going to be an even bigger one.

I’ve reached a point in playing video games where the longer a game takes to release the happier I am (within reason) because it means it’ll have less bugs and will have a higher likelihood of actually being finished.
@ Once you get used to it youre never going back. In the long run its more economical too, instead of buying a new computer you simply replace the parts which are outdated. Ive had my computer since 2014 and just upgraded a few parts over the years so its still top of the line.

I bought an Xbox for starfield… which was a mistake. I think I heard Starfield was coming to ps5 as well because it hasn’t done so well on Xbox. Hopefully ES6 follows the same route because I’d like to play it on a good console.

So we know they’ve been working on the game for at least six years. When Elden ring came out from software was working on the game for six years. It became one of the best video games ever winning game of the year and being nominated a second time. Winning multiple rewards aswell. So if they’ve been working on elder scrolls six for a lil over six years then that tells me it’s gonna be jaw dropping. It’s gonna be way better than any other open world. So the longer the game takes the better it’ll be because it shows they really want to make this game something special

As someone with a gaming pc and a ps5 I’m so thankful I never need to worry about game exclusivity
After Starfield ...I have low expectations
I think starfields biggest flaw was it was too big and the exploration. TES 6 is gonna be just a province, so I expect Bethesda will go back to their classic exploration. Fallout 76 was probably their worst game and it still is probably one of the best map they’ve made. I’m glad Bethesda got starfield out and now they can see what exactly the community didn’t like

@@mattyb1624 that’s what I’m saying, starfield was massive and that’s why there are so many loading screens. I’d expect TES6 to go back to what it used to be loading screens when you enter a building and leave because it will be one province. So more along the lines of fallout 4 in terms of loading screens

Exclusivity sucks for titles that were previously on all platforms. But in this case, it would be a waste to get this on anything but PC because of the mods.
Bethesda tends to dumb down their games with each entry. Mark my words, i guarantee that ESVI will have like half the number of skill categories as Skyrim, Fallout 4 dialogue options, and even more shallow than Skyrim

Starfield Had a lot more dialogue and dialogue options that fallout 4. Skyrim in recent times was probably their most dumbed down RPG, I’m mostly worried about the exploration and and TES6 being too giant, but I doubt they’ll make TES6 massive

Man, we literally have so many more amazing exclusives, ps is way worse in terms of exclusivity. God of war, ghost of tshumima, bloodborne, horizon, spiderman, persona, death stranding, Detroit become human, days gone, uncharted, infamous, shadow of the collosuss, final fantasy, etc
They kinda have to do this so they can keep up with PlayStation because of all their exclusives, the reason Xbox sales are bad is because they really don't have as any good exclusives.

I am only just playing Skyrim for my first time, so discovering this games existence, well, progress in that direction, makes it feel like a very short time to wait for the next game despite learning of how very long it has been. I also own both PS and Xbox but 90% of my games have been gifted to me as Xbox games, so I rarely touch my other consoles.

I've just started my first ever modded Skyrim playthrough, and to be honest your shooting yourself in the foot if you buy a vanilla console version. I'm not worried about when it's released, I'm more worried about how Bethesda will fuck up this game up, if Starfield is a sign of things to come I'm worried. Also for the love of God do not add guns to ES6, we have Fallout for that, and do not trust what Todd Howard says, he continuesly inflates truths and its insulting.

To me it seems outrageous that it won’t be out until 2026 or even 2027. What’s the point of Microsoft acquiring Bethesda if Microsoft isn’t going to give this game all the man power and resources needed to make a quality installment in a more timely manner. I don’t want the game to be rushed but still 3 years is a long freaking time , because of course it won’t be available until at least November or December in 2026

Don’t let the hype when Todd Howard starts talking about god rays, and 100+ spell combinations, and 500,000 dialogue lines, and cities with hundreds of citizens get to you-because you are going to be disappointed when you realize 75% of it is bland and pointless filler.
If Starfield was 25 years in the making, with 8 in development…then Bethesda has lost their magic. Whatever sauce made Skyrim great has been squeezed out of them.
We used to excuse their technical skills with the engine limitations; but they are choosing not to evolve technically now.

Starfield was a disappointment. ES6 is going to be an even bigger one.
Yeah, I hope Starfield’s shortcoming and criticisms will light a fire under Howard’s ass, but I don’t see it. He’s getting older, and he’s helped to make four absolutely legendary games (Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim). IMO he should get in the passenger seat now, time to let someone younger drive.

I’ve reached a point in playing video games where the longer a game takes to release the happier I am (within reason) because it means it’ll have less bugs and will have a higher likelihood of actually being finished.

@ Once you get used to it youre never going back. In the long run its more economical too, instead of buying a new computer you simply replace the parts which are outdated. Ive had my computer since 2014 and just upgraded a few parts over the years so its still top of the line.

I bought an Xbox for starfield… which was a mistake. I think I heard Starfield was coming to ps5 as well because it hasn’t done so well on Xbox. Hopefully ES6 follows the same route because I’d like to play it on a good console.
I haven't heard anything good about the current Xbox, and One didn't do so hot either. Unless something changes I see them going down the same path as Sega

I don’t know why people are so shocked about them making it an Xbox exclusive… it has been the norm in the past and Skyrim was actually a special case, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion we’re all Xbox/PC exclusives upon release. They’re just going back to what they did before. Skyrim releasing on all platforms was like an advertisement campaign and now they’re back to their original marketing strategy…

I think it’ll be on the newest gen consoles. Like PS5 or six depending on when the game comes out. But I like to think of it like this. They released the teaser trailer a bit over six years ago. So we know they’ve been working on the game for at least six years. When Elden ring came out from software was working on the game for six years. It became one of the best video games ever winning game of the year and being nominated a second time. Winning multiple rewards aswell. So if they’ve been working on elder scrolls six for a lil over six years then that tells me it’s gonna be jaw dropping. It’s gonna be way better than any other open world. So the longer the game takes the better it’ll be because it shows they really want to make this game something special
Either way PC is the way to play ES games. The modding is unrestricted and uncapped

As someone who has Skyrim on PS4, I'm happy I need to get the next one on PC. Modding Elder Scrolls sounds incredibly fun and I'm almost tempted to buy PC Skyrim for the Cyrodiil mod

Honestly, with Xbox sales dropping and already stating two games they wouldn't put on Playstation that are now being released on Playstation, I'll believe it when I see it. I have an Xbox, but Fallout and Elder Scrolls both played better on Playstation
