BGS should hire them to write ES6 at this point. But I can't imagine anything they'd make topping what this video has, for the sake of mass market appeal.
The channel that made me get a RUclips account just so I could use the subscribe feature. I’ve been tuning in since before your old Skyrim builds were deleted, before my parents let me have a copy of Skyrim for myself. I’ve since delved deep into Oblivion and Morrowind, watched ALL of your videos time and time again, and formed a compendium of Elder Scrolls knowledge that I am now actively targeted by my friends for being a total nerd. Michael and Scott (and Drew), you have kept my love for this series burning ferociously, on end, for the MAJORITY OF MY LIFE, and I truly, truly thank you.
Yeah it's really weird they started the video by asking it to be shared with Bethesda, because if someone at Bethesda actually saw this video they'd be very strongly discouraged from doing anything it recommends just because it could in theory open them up a very expensive lawsuit for taking someone else's ideas.
Y’al didn’t have to go this hard!! This video is legendary. Appreciate all the hard work. Must have been fun to live in this world in your mind for this long.
I beg that TES6 isn't just a sand pit and really embraces the diversity of Hammerfell. I'd love to see some really dense Jungle rainforest with ancient ruins or maybe a Petra Jordan style city carved into a desert cliff face. Just PRAYING it's not only desert sands the entire game.
Truth is this.. anyone that creates content for Bethesda should be making a video exactly like this. And if we dont see anything we want from future titles, i think its time to find new games/hobbies. If they wont listen to the people that actually promote their games, then they dont deserve any support at all. Regardless of biased opinions.
I've seen someone make a video on "Scrolls Like" games, much like Souls Like resembles Dark Souls. Tbh, if Bethesda fails to deliver, I 100% support the fanbase investing on other companies' takes on the genre. I hope Scrolls Like becomes a much bigger genre on the short future.
@@louake There are some promising games in development right now. Wayward Realms from the original developers of Daggerfall are making a spiritual successor. Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is kind of a darker Skyrim set in the mythological time after King Arthur. We can only hope.

I'm only starting the video now but I already know that this video will unfortunately describe a product wayyy better than we're ever going to get from BGS :(
I’d like to add A 4th pillar to complete the Elder Scrolls Table. Collection. Whether it be cool artifacts, armor or weapons, having A lot of great gear to collect, and even display, I feel is an essential part of The Elder Scrolls Experience. I get that feeling from particularly Morrowind and Skyrim.
I would *really* like a better place to put my stuff-perhaps a storeroom in player houses where you can name containers like in ESO (but without capacity limits). I try to organise my armor/weapons/alchemy ingredients/stuff to enchant, but it always winds up spread between several rooms and it’s a pain to go back and forth.
Walking around your Fancy House with all sorts of bits and baubles from your adventures on display is such a nice feeling. Even if you're the type where you just stuff all the Unique stuff in a Chest, scrolling through it reminiscing about how you obtained them or even the things you did with them before "retiring" them.
@gaminreasons8941 Yeah. Not to just hate, but I feel like that’s A major thing that Starfield got wrong. You didn’t really HAVE A lot of those things in Starfield. All the unique weapons/armor felt like just retextured versions of another non-unique armor set or weapon. And to top it all off, NG+ destroys the concept of looking back at what you’ve accomplished and acquiring all the gear and seeing EVERY location, because (SPOILERS) if you go through the unity, you lose EVERYTHING besides your stats, but if you don’t go through the unity, you miss out on rare and unique armor/weapons.
Finally finished the full video and this is an absolute masterpiece. You guys really made something incredible here that is going to stick with me for a very long time.
I’ve had this video in the background as I do chores and study these past few days, it’s amazing hearing all these ideas for our ideal game. I truly hope Bethesda learns from their falls and makes a gem of a game. I’m at hour 3 hearing about the world building and I gotta say I’m loving it, keep up the amazing work Fudgemuppet, been seeing you guys since like 2014!
One thing I definitely think would benefit from being taken from ESO and applied to TES6 is the concept of motifs. Motifs could be collectibles and part of a smithing skill line that would basically allow one to find, research and then make armour in a particular style, being completely cosmetic and allowing variation to things like steel armour. For example a set of Breton steel armor would be the more knightly plate where a set of Nordic steel armor would have the furs and Nordic carving patterns while still functioning the same stat wise. It’d add immersion for crafting characters to be able to make the weapons and armour they’d prefer if they’re perhaps proud of their culture, or maybe with for instance Dwemer armor spend a lot of time studying the aesthetics, even if they can’t yet shape dwarven metal.
Yeah, I really don’t expect anything from this video to come to fruition. Someone at Bethesda, like Emil Pagliarulo, will likely either never see this or will go “wElL tHaT’s NoT hOw GaMe DeVeLoPmEnT wOrKs” and disregard most of it. Or maybe they can’t even use these ideas in the first place for some legal reason. No matter what, I just know it won’t resemble anything like in the video, and we’ll get something far closer to Starfield quality-wise.
… Holy heck. Not just Drew giving us 4 hours on lore for the Nords, but now come 6 hours of FudgeMuppet goodness?! You guys are awesome! Can’t wait to give this a good long listen. Also, great name for the game!
On the City Orc: additionally, while city or imperialized orcs won't know about stronghold culture, there may be few who decide to reconnect with their heritage and study it, perhaps even going so far as to find and speak to stronghold chiefs or liaisons to document their findings, collect orc relics, and make other efforts to keep orc heritage alive in spirit and memory, although they may not themselves live like them. Some might even have small shrines to Malacath, not so much for worship alongside the divines, but to enhance the memory of heritage. Maybe Malacath tolerates this, because it enhances his overall power and helps maintains his foothold in Mundus.
Honestly need a return to Arena when the entire world was equally relevant Except I guess that's supposed to be the MMO which I recall being poorly received
I want there to be a soft-cap for what top tiers of factions we can get to. Like maybe if I've gotten enough infamy, no matter what accomplishments I do in the Fighters Guild, I am never going to be offered Guild-Leader status, due to my infamous past, but maybe I still qualify to be on the Guild Leader's inner council. Also, I want a mage's guild that feels like an actual school. Where I need to either train under a mentor or take on my own apprentices before I can be part of the Mage's Council or whatever. I don't just want to be doing Indiana Jones, but with magic, or fighting evil wizards, I want it to feel like... well a guild, a place where people train, exchange tricks, and impart knowledge to newer members.
The player being the leader of several faction or even just one was always ridiculous. The position of an organization leader is like 90 % paperwork and politics. They'd have zero time to just up and disappear to adventure for weeks on end; and if they did the organization would swiftly replace them. Getting into an inner council are being offered an honored advisor position should be the the highest rank the player can get.
You know, I never thought I'd say this about a 6 hour video, but I would just love to hear you guys get more in depth with some of the worldbuilding and plot points! Absolutely incredible video - 10/10
Something I'd like to see for equipment is a sort of layering system. Similar to Kingdom Come Deliverance or Dragons Dogma (the first one). Like where you've got a clothing layer, under armor, plate, tabards, etc. have some really customizable outfits and gear. Idk how exactly to balance enchantments around that though, maybe you can only slot one enchanted item per bodypart (head, chest, arms, legs, ring + necklace), with the exception of some unique equipment. Or maybe you can only enchant certain equipment types/layers at certain enchanting skill levels or with certain perks. Also, I really hope they update and innovate with the combat systems. Love Skyrim, but it felt out of date when it came out. I will suffer through it if I have to though, I love the world of elder scrolls too much not to play ES6, but it'd be nice to have all the bredth of a Bethesda game with intricate and engaging systems to match
Emil will get this video linked to him, see the 6 hours lenght, and say "naah story doesnt matter make the protagonist the chosen one again and make him shout in a different way"
That sounds cool. The idea that’s been bouncing around in my head is one set in Summerset Isle, and then you can join the Thalmor or a resistance against them. I didn’t play a ton of ESO, but I did see a good bit of Summerset and I thought it looked cool. And I also like the idea of introducing more Altmer that are opposed to the Thalmor, since I feel like a lot of people act like they’re just the same thing now. The Skyrim character I spent the most time on was a rogue-ish High Elf with the head canon that she was fleeing the Thalmor after they killed her husband for speaking out.

Come to think of it... Does that work in TES? Like is it a Star Wars thing where some races can cross produce Or is it like Star Trek where it's considered impossible outside of scientific (divine/magical) tampering?
@ClericOfPholtus In the restoration skill book "Racial Philogyny," it's stated that the child predominantly takes after the mother, although some traits of their father persist. Even though that doesn't explain how Bretons came to be so idk
I would change how you get into the dark brotherhood. So you can either go to the town where you will hear that a resident is looking to hire a guard for a dinner party or at lv 15 you get a letter saying they want to hire you due to your renown. So you go to the party and there are 4-6 guests with the party host, and they have locked the house up where no one can leave, like in that one dark brotherhood mission from oblivion and the host is murdered and one by one they all get killed well you try to solve it till its just you and one surviver who then says there not the murderer so you must be and turns on you forcing you to kill them. Then, a false wall opens up where the dark brotherhood assassin comes out clapping and explains that everyone but you had the hit on them due to them all being the worst people and having survived they would like to invite you to join, this could also be a future player home that you can buy after the quest
Absolute respect to you guys for making a 6-hour long video about our hopes for the new Elder Scrolls 6. We all have high expectations and are placing a lot of hope in this game. I sincerely thank you for creating such an in depth video, which paints the ideal picture and brings to life the fantasy of how Elder Scrolls 6 could truly become something amazing for the fans.
I want the main story to be completely absent until midgame, then through casual play and finding factions to get into it leads into one of various endings
I remember your first mention of this back in your amazing Ideal Elder Scrolls 6 Hammerfell and it’s definitely been worth the wait. My ideal ES6 is if you two replace Emil Pagliarulo
This is a loooooooong video so I'm going to be making comments as I watch. Firstly, I would really love it if, for side quests, they did like in Oblivion whereby a quest to deliver 5 eggs to Grobag gro Shunk's sister in Choral turns into an epic adventure about busting a skooma smuggling ring's operations in the Imperial City. By comparison, the same quest in Skyrim would have ended in lameness and disappointment because you'd have delivered the eggs, been handed 50 septims and that would've been it.
It's been 10 years? Damn i was like beginning my A-levels when i watched one and now i'm engaged by this one wtf. Legit got a second ideal ES6 video before a ES6 lol

I liked KCD's leveling system and the various buffs and debuffs, both timed or permanent, based on what you did during the game (i.e. what kinds of weapons you used, what you ate, drank, or potions you took, how you could only gain certain bumps in attributes by reading, but having to learn how to read, etc.)
I know it’s not going to happen but I’ve always thought it would be cool if ES6 was called “The Elder Scrolls VI: Dominion” but they actually went all out and made it take place in Elsweyr, Valenwood, AND Summerset since they’re all fairly small provinces and it’s all about taking down the thalmor from the inside. I know they’re almost definitely going to do hammerfell but i can dream
FudgeMuppet feels to me like the voice for all of the Elder Scrolls fans who remember what so many other gamers seem to have ignored: that Skyrim and the other ES games are first and foremost roleplaying games. When I try to explain to friends that I like to develop backstories and personalities for the Skyrim characters I create, it feels like I’m just as likely to be met with a raised eyebrow as I am a nod of approval. I’m not saying that other people are playing the game “wrong”, but I hope that TES6 leans more into its rpg elements than Skyrim did. I love all of the suggestions in this video, and I sure hope Bethesda listens

We would consider it for sure, maybe in the future ⏳
@@FudgeMuppet Thanks for the reply! That would be amazing! Love all your stuff :D
BGS should hire them to write ES6 at this point. But I can't imagine anything they'd make topping what this video has, for the sake of mass market appeal.
Holy moly 6 hour video
When the world waited for a game that may never come, when the fans needed them most, they returned!
In their tongue, they are Fudgemuppet, the elderborn
Great video, dude!!!
I hope all Bethesda employees watch this and do a meeting to discuss how to put all this together.
6 hours! Good thing I'm an introvert. Going to grab some popcorn and order some pizza later on for this one!
Same.
Lol, hope yall have fun
When I was 11 years old, I would have never guessed I would be 30 by the time the next elders scrolls game came out.
By Boethiah… I know what I’ll be watching on and off for the next month!
Please Bethesda, just watch this and take inspiration. This is what we want! (Or better yet, hire Scott and Michael as writers for TES VI!)
i need the whole gang 😭 them two, drew, & camel
Bethesda sees all their best ideas predicted by a youtube channel, realises it will look like they took them: "well, back to the drawing board"
That would be tragic
Yeah it's really weird they started the video by asking it to be shared with Bethesda, because if someone at Bethesda actually saw this video they'd be very strongly discouraged from doing anything it recommends just because it could in theory open them up a very expensive lawsuit for taking someone else's ideas.
@@Gayd1if the idea is not patented then it’s free game
Actually this is a real thing, it's happened before in shows. If you send them ideas they legally can't use them anymore without a ton of work
Bold of you to assume they'd have these kind of great ideas in the first place.
Y’al didn’t have to go this hard!! This video is legendary. Appreciate all the hard work. Must have been fun to live in this world in your mind for this long.
6 hours is crazy work.
Yes dense yes
👏 Every 👏 frame 👏 a painting 👏
4:44:25 GOD I wish Emperor Urien was real. The biggest tragedy in all of this is that I won’t get to actually see this badass emperor
I know! I’ll never be able to fight for this man!
I rate this video a 10/10 with a badass seal of approval
@@louake They don't even gotta be big at first. Just some solid gameplay and a semi open world would be fine.
@@louake There are some promising games in development right now. Wayward Realms from the original developers of Daggerfall are making a spiritual successor. Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is kind of a darker Skyrim set in the mythological time after King Arthur. We can only hope.
@@Xalantor I've heard of Wayward Realms recently and I'm really excited for it. Definitely looking forward to playing it in the future
I’ve been so disillusioned by my favorite game series lately that I’m heading right towards “well if they aren’t going to make it for us, then I’m going to do it myself!” lol scrolls-like. I like that. It’s time for the little folk who actually care do something about the game companies pandering to anyone but their true fan base
@atlander4204 Maybe some display options like in Legacy of The Dragonborn to show your accomplishments.
@KyleDGrizzly Either ignore what makes their gameplay good or ignore the stated climax of the story, such great game design. 😔
Finally finished the full video and this is an absolute masterpiece. You guys really made something incredible here that is going to stick with me for a very long time.
Holy crap, you weren't kidding on length of video. I had been watching for 20 minutes and decided to check. That's some effort guys!
Wow. Fantastic job. I’m only 22min into the video and I’m like “Wow these guys have thought of everything”
6 hours??!! time to lock in gentlemen love the videos and can’t wait to see you guys cover more tes 6 content whenever that actually comes out
This is great guys well worth the wait!
Only 30 minutes in but i already hope bethesda are taking notes on this video
I’ve had this video in the background as I do chores and study these past few days, it’s amazing hearing all these ideas for our ideal game. I truly hope Bethesda learns from their falls and makes a gem of a game. I’m at hour 3 hearing about the world building and I gotta say I’m loving it, keep up the amazing work Fudgemuppet, been seeing you guys since like 2014!
Wow! Hats off to making a 6 hour video on this! You really did your homework
Uh-may-zing. Really got to give props for the effort to make a GOOD 6 hour video
holy cow. I was wondering why you guys had been quiet lately. I think I have the answer now.
I have a dreadful feeling Bethesda will make all the opposite decisions of the ones outlined in this video
*justified feeling
Yeah, I really don’t expect anything from this video to come to fruition. Someone at Bethesda, like Emil Pagliarulo, will likely either never see this or will go “wElL tHaT’s NoT hOw GaMe DeVeLoPmEnT wOrKs” and disregard most of it. Or maybe they can’t even use these ideas in the first place for some legal reason. No matter what, I just know it won’t resemble anything like in the video, and we’ll get something far closer to Starfield quality-wise.
If tes6 is a flop like we all get the feeling it will modders will make an enjoyable game for you
Every settlement is a blank canvas; you have to design the game from the ground up 👹
Elder Scrolls: Veilguard.
I love the idea of cultures in character creation
… Holy heck. Not just Drew giving us 4 hours on lore for the Nords, but now come 6 hours of FudgeMuppet goodness?!
You guys are awesome! Can’t wait to give this a good long listen. Also, great name for the game!
Hopefully not a giant desert procedualy generated full of radiant quests
Proooobably more likely. Whatever though. Long as the mod support and community is there, It will be awesome 3-5 years after release.
but a giant dessert sounds tasty
Definitely going to be that
50/50 on whether it'll be flooded with modern culture war politics
On the City Orc: additionally, while city or imperialized orcs won't know about stronghold culture, there may be few who decide to reconnect with their heritage and study it, perhaps even going so far as to find and speak to stronghold chiefs or liaisons to document their findings, collect orc relics, and make other efforts to keep orc heritage alive in spirit and memory, although they may not themselves live like them. Some might even have small shrines to Malacath, not so much for worship alongside the divines, but to enhance the memory of heritage. Maybe Malacath tolerates this, because it enhances his overall power and helps maintains his foothold in Mundus.
if it was set in both provinces I would cry with joy
Honestly need a return to Arena when the entire world was equally relevant
Except I guess that's supposed to be the MMO which I recall being poorly received
Michael and Scott trading bars like Big Boi and Andre 😭 I used to pray for times like this
Something I'd like to see for equipment is a sort of layering system.
They literally did this in Daggerfall, perfected it in Morrowind, and then removed it from Oblivion.
6 hour flight 6 hour video. No brainer decision! Luv y'all stuff
I want the Veiled Heritance 2.0 as a faction
Yep, I like that
Nice RP
I feel like this would be a good small bridge game between 5 and 6 great idea
Whole video had me planning a build for a game that doesn't even exist, I think it's over for me
Easiest way for bethesda to make a good elderscrolls, just hire these people.
Writer: Michael Kirkbride
Designer/Co Writer: Chris Avalone
Soundtrack: Jeremy soul
How do we tell him?
@@jaggidfireCancel culture is bs. False accusations shouldn’t ruin these men’s careers.
Jerem Soul got me too'd by radical feminists
Michael Kirkbride wrote Immortals of Aveum
@jaggidfire I saw recently that his ex at the time of the allegations posted a thread on reddit aiming to clear up a lot of what happened. Still a lot up in the air but there's a bit of closure there if you're willing to look for it
He's still a great artist.
This is an incredible video and should be required viewing for developers of the elder scrolls 6, this is what the community is passionate about and what make these games so great.
I think the Thieves Guild main questline involving Clavicus Vile would be amazing and very fitting! That was a great idea.
Having a visitable parents sounds kinda funny.
Me: Hey, Dad, I married an orc woman.
Dad, the Breton Lord: *Has a brain aneurysm*
Come to think of it...
Does that work in TES?
Like is it a Star Wars thing where some races can cross produce
Or is it like Star Trek where it's considered impossible outside of scientific (divine/magical) tampering?
@ClericOfPholtus In the restoration skill book "Racial Philogyny," it's stated that the child predominantly takes after the mother, although some traits of their father persist.
Even though that doesn't explain how Bretons came to be so idk
The Dryfenn Wyrd are an AMAZING idea.
10/10 video!
I LOVE the idea of choosing culture ar character creation. Stating that one is a Nibenese Imperial as soon as creating the character is amazing.
I feel like I'm already nostalgic for ES6, having anticipated and talked about it for the past decade.
I will be really satisfied if Bethesda achieves 30% of the things mentioned in this video.
A little ridiculous that Bethesda hasn't reached out for some kind of collab with FudgeMuppet at this point...
You’ll get *nothing* and be *thankful* when Toddhead releases modding tools for us to make the game ourselves
Crazy that in 1000 years we probably only have 65 elder scrolls games
Can't wait to RP a portly, short prince, woodelf bard.
Many years ago you got me into Elder Scrolls lore. I can't thank you enough for that. This epic video seems like your magnum opus. Well done!
Amazing, I reallly like the Alik'r confedarcy and the legendary Warlord who can summon ancient Yokudan Arts.
The emperor Urien part goes so hard
I never realized that when i was a teenager watching all your videos so were you guys lol. I may not be as passionate about elder scrolls as you guys but apparently ive grown up alongside you guys with it and thats awesome
Ya know... after all this time im just glad I can be with folks that love elder scrolls as much as I do. I really do feel home here. love everyone here!
Maybe TES 6 were the friends we made along the way.
Was a teenage when Skyrim released, can't wait to be in my late 30's when I finally can experience my first Elder Scrolls 6 bugs.
You guys put so much work into this. It's impressive. I hope you guys are able to make a mod and implement some of these ideas in ES 6.
Have thought if this might be the route for VII.
Well that is the point. Skyrim is not an RPG first anymore. It is an action Adventure game first and an RPG second.
The FudgeMuppet guys for creative director with ultimate power over TES6!
I just managed to finish this masterpiece finally and WOW! Can you guys please develop TES from now on? Another amazing video as always! Keep up the amazing work as always
6hr video!!! Love you guys keep up the good work!
Wow this is incredible guys, I can’t wait to watch. Also it’s crazy that that was 10 years years ago, I personally haven’t been watching you that long but it’s almost that, maybe about 8-9 years. Honestly your guys videos have helped me out when I’m going through stuff throughout the years so thank you. I really enjoy your content and it’s been great to see your channel and you guys kind of grow and develop over the years.
I would play a game the way you laid it out many times over.
In another world this game came out in a timely manner and this video was one of those 6 hour retrospective reviews in the lead-up to elder scrolls 7's release
This is unrelated, but I haven’t finished the video yet. Can you guys bring back the Elder Scrolls podcast? I miss listening to you guys debate about ES stuff 😂
