    A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his RUclips channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

I've been sharing this lesson ever since I first learned it in 1972 at sea on a USN Destroyer in the middle of the Atlantic. The cocky, smug, dud of a human being who shared it with me wanted desperately to be one 10th as cool as you, He couldn't pull it off. You are a master teacher and solid guitar player but a natural entertainer; one who has learned the "Secret" of being a great teacher. You have to hold their attention all the way to the end of the lessons. Fabulous video Sean! After teaching piano/guitar privately since 1992, I think you're the best!

I really appreciate your videos. Thank you. The guitar in standard tuning, begs to be played in E. The open E strings and open B are a great little power chord. No "expression" notes. No third to be sad with. No seventh etc. There in the middle, all nestled together, are three more strings on which any number of tri tones can be played up and down the neck for a huge variety of voicings. I invite you to try this one:
Index on A at 11, middle on D at 12, ring on G at 13. Nice little E7 stair step shape. Here's some magic: Move this down a half step and there's an A chord. Move it up a half step from the original position and it's a B chord. More:: Move this same shape down so it's centered on the 6th fret (index on 5th) and you can do the same little routine and walk through a I-IV-V progression still in E. More: of course it works up around the 17th fret.
Wait! There's more: if you drop the two third notes of the original shape down a half step the shape changes to a very popular three note power shape that in this position with all strings singing, is an Emin7. Move this shape up a half step and now it's Emaj7.
    Magic.
