I just learnt all the Chord Melodies on the e string from the Jazz improv series, I've been thinking of doing the same for the rest of the high strings but haven't found the time. This was just what I was looking for hehe but no other channels have been really focusing on this. These are great for covering songs on the fly.
Well this is pretty serendipitous. I literally was thinking to myself the other day that what holds me back on being able to realize a simple on-the-spot arrangement on guitar as I can on piano would be hugely improved by just being able to play my triads in all places on the neck. Your video completed my thought and provided the guitar specific expertise to fill in the gaps I was trying to reason through pedagogically. I often tell people "it's the questions you don't even know to ask" that are the most important building blocks. This video, the PDF, and the start over the other series really helped. It takes someone with the knowledge of the big picture distilling it down into the component parts that is the real value. I also appreciate that you make some of these videos that clearly presume a high level of starting knowledge. I totally understand why guitar channels do it (to get a wider audience) but most avoid jumping straight in at a starting point of pretty robust theory knowledge. As you mention, it took you a while to really work through some of these things to get them to a point of implicit knowledge, but I'm glad that you've laid out such a clear path here so that I can just get into the woodshed and go. Thanks so much for distilling down your process.
I'm so glad you're finding the masterclass videos and the step-by-step process helpful. Sounds like you're making great progress. Thanks for sharing all your thoughts! Cheers, ~~ Jared
Hey Jared, love your courses and the chords with colour cheatsheet. Do you by chance have a similar chords with colour cheatsheet for harmonic minor and melodic minor? Would be ecstatic if you did and if there's a way to access that. I've watched your other videos on the triads and 7th chords available in these keys but wanted to familiarize myself with alternatives. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Wow, thank you, very nice, but a bit advanced for me.
I totally understand. It's definitely upper-intermediate material. Glad you liked it anyway. Thanks for watching. Cheers - Jared
Is it possible to play the melody legato, with chords.
When you figure all this stuff out, do you transcribe it? How? Or must one remember?
What about NOT knowing the chords and doing it?
Waaaaaaay too much jabbering and too many side bars.
Third string is a hair flat
