      @@guadalupelancon5097 yes! Most people are fine to drive afterwards, but if you are super light sensitive, then it could be an issue.

    Definitely not my favorite test, but I can see the utility of it. I got high blood pressure diagnosed through that test.

    Can I. Get whole eyes bigger?? And are the drops of pupils safe at the age of 16

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  2 года назад

      Not a good idea to dilate your eyes for fun because it can increase your eye pressure, increases light sensitivity and eliminates your ability to focus up close.

      @Shristi I dilating drops used in the office can last from 3 hours to 8 depending on the drop amd the patient. Sunglasses can usually get you home just fine though!

    Sir what are the names of eyedrops to make our eyes larger?

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  2 года назад +2

      If you are talking about the pupils, the drops we normally use are tropicamide and/or phenylephrine. Not for public use, for these can cause adverse reactions if not carefully used.

    Very informative. Is Optical Coherence Tomography view the same without dilating the eyes or is doing both preferable?

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  4 года назад

      Great question, Kris! The OCT is great to view deeper into the retina. Usually done if we suspect an underlying condition causing blurred vision like diabetic retinopathy, macular degineration, adverse drug reactions and many more. We also use it to manage exsisting condition for progression like Glaucoma or ocular nevi (innocent till proven guilty). Normally, we will do dilation and photos before OCT, but will use OCT if we need more clues to solve the puzzle!

    Definitely not my favorite part of the visits lol. I try to plan my visits for the end of my work day so I don't have to immediately stare at a computer after dilation.
    But I dislike the puff of air being blown into my eyes worse haha 😂That would make an interesting video. To learn more about what the different tests show about our eyes.

      I agree. That would be a funny video because that is definitely another test that most people don't like!

    Is the dialated eye exam enough to exclude posterior uveitis if Behçet's patients started seeing black dots in his vision?

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  Год назад +1

      Yes, we would be able to see posterior uveitis with a comprehensive eye exam, which includes dilation.

    Is it possible to do only one eye?

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  2 года назад

      Yes, if there is a specific issue that needs to be looked at, but it won't hurt anything to do it. I prefer both becuase I get a headache if I only one eye is done.

    I have worn glasses all my adult life & I do see well at 4 foot to infinity. My astigmatism is 1.5 or therabouts. They also say I have a retinal Wrinkle. I have never been able to wear Contacts, my eyes are too dry. I was hoping to rid myself of cataracts. So 2-12 ft distance is perfect. I have an appointment with the Retinal folks about that wrinkle. If you have any ideas, let me know.... Iam 80 & all that I di is centered around playing Billiards.

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare

      That is exactly what you should tell the cataract specialist. You know the lifestyle that you live
      You should be able to ask for vision that accommodates it.
