    I like how the town has nice wide sidewalks for walkers, I wish they had that in more United States cities

    At these times, just many fun websites to learn basic Japanese. I’m learning a bit of writing for fun at a website and I just use my finger to trace the letters of Hiragana , etc., not trying for fluency just for any little bit for fun.

    Heyy! Love your video! I am curious as to which station did you get off at to get to this place and was it the JR subway line?

    • @taoistviking
      @taoistviking  4 месяца назад +1

      thanks for watching! I don't remember the station name or line, since this was a while ago. but it was the very first station from the airport. the station in the airport had pretty easy to understand maps 😊

      京成ラインでもJRラインでも「成田駅」で降りれば大丈夫です。
      空港で「電車」「新勝寺」と尋ねたら、みんなが「あっちだよ」「こうやって切符買うんだよ」と
      教えてくれるはずです。
      心配しないで、ぜひ、チャレンジしてみてください。

    Did you exchange currencies at the airport? If so how much do you think is enough for similar to your journey? I have a 10 hrs layover in Narita.

      thanks for watching 😊
      I withdrew cash from an ATM at the airport.
      I have a Charles Schwab investor checking ATM card (no ATM fees and no foreign transaction fees) i always remind people that if you use an ATM they'll offer to do a conversion fee via the ATM - but they always overcharge you - your bank usually won't charge as much, or at all depending on your bank.
      if you would prefer to use a currency exchange service I would recommend doing it at the airport. it might be faster than trying to find a convenient one in Narita.
      I spent around $32 USD (including: locker at the airport, round trip train ticket, sushi, 1 saki, ramen and 1 beer). maybe take out a little more cash if you plan on buying souvenirs! have fun!

    Thanks for sharing did you buy JR pass or individual ticket when you go outside?

    • @taoistviking
      @taoistviking  5 месяцев назад

      I purchased an individual round trip ticket, for relatively cheap. my apologies, I don't remember many details about the various options at the station 🤣 this was a few months ago. I do remember the pricing wasn't bad for the various options.

    When you came through the airport to Japan, did you need proof of your vaccination? I have taken them in the past, but I wondered if I should take my paper plus I guess people aren’t wearing mask anymore. That’s fine with me. If I was sick, I wouldn’t travel
    What’s the best place to find information about that for the most recent information? Would it be the airline you fly on or the Japanese consulate or what please
    I enjoyed your walking video, I want to go to Japan as a layover on the way to Malaysia hopefully.

      thanks for watching! and I went to 10 different countries in 2023 and not one was for proof of vaccination at any point 👍 so you should be good to go

      @@taoistviking thanks for your quick answer, and I will also look at the websites just for the latest information. Glad to hear travel was easy for you in 2023 at least in regards no proof need it for vaccination

      日本の成田空港から、電車で一駅ですから、ちょっとだけ勇気を出せたら
      このプランは可能ですよ。
      日本人はみな親切(おせっかい焼き?世話好き?)なので
      空港で困ったら「電車」「新勝寺」と聞いてみてください。
      誰かがきっと教えてくれます。
      どうか、成田山を楽しんでくださいね。
