Very cool places! I have to admit that despite having been to Japan 18 times (and #19 is coming up in just 3 weeks...), I've seen very little of Chiba. I've been to Narita city during a long transfer at the airport (highly recommended indeed!), and a few times to events at Makuhari Messe, but that's about it. Even when I new of most of these places, somehow I never really considered going there. But this surely is good inspiration for future trips, and especially Nokogiri (and that cafe!) looks amazing
wow, been following abroadinjapan for years and now I am amazed to have found this channel. Found through some shorts in my feed and now stayed for the amazing videos and sceneries...I have been learning japanese for 5 years and would love to live in Japan some day, but those videos make it harder to push it back to the future...
Absolutely love this! 🌟 It's amazing how you highlight the hidden gems that are so close to Tokyo yet often overlooked. Makes me want to pack my bags and explore right away! 🗾✨
First lived in Japan as a resident back in the 70's then traveled back and forth for business a number of times a year between living there again for yet another extended number of years and yet other than attending various conferences in Chiba I never thought there would be a single reason to spend any leisure time there. This video with your select experiences has charged me to put Chiba down as a priority for some devoted off time leasure on my next trip. Thank you.
You are so, so good at savoring little moments in your videos, thank you for sharing such vulnerabilities! Also, you are quite gorgeous, and I hope your life is going well with many more unexpected adventures ahead!
Shiitake is Japan's representative mushroom. If you grill freshly harvested shiitake mushrooms with butter, soy sauce, and pepper, you will experience heavenly deliciousness. Shiitake mushrooms are also delicious when made into tempura.😊😊
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful and interesting video. I heard that there are 47 prefectures in Japan, and each prefecture has different unique attractions such as sightseeing and food. The north and the south seem to be very different countries, with different climates, different foods, and different people. My friend who loves Japan has made it her life's goal to visit all of Japan's prefectures, and it looks like she is halfway there. She says that the charm of Japan lies in places that are not well known to tourists. And what we can say in common is that no matter where we go, the safety and cleanliness, the sincerity and kindness of the people, which are unique to Japan, remain the same. So you said that even if you are a woman traveling alone, you can relax and enjoy your trip without having to be nervous all the time. Oh, I also pointed out that everywhere you go there are natural hot springs and 7-Eleven and Lawson lol. I want to visit as many wonderful unknown places in Japan as possible too.
Wow, I really wanna praise your shots, ambience and editing. I think the beauty of this prefecture could not be understood better than from your cinematic skills. Amazing!
Such a wonderful film, people are very lucky to have you showing their area to the world. When next I visit Japan much more of the beaten tracks will we travel.
Beautiful video! We took our 3rd grade class to Mt Nokogiri and Tateyama for their ensoku and we all did the massive climb. The views were insane and you’ve captured them perfectly! Unfortunately, at the time we climbed, it was during leech season so a lot of our kids got bit.😱 Thank you for another video gem!
@@CurrentlyHannah We didn't either! They were tiny skinny red worm-like creatures (called ヒル in Japanese) and they stuck out of the rocks so somehow they attached to socks and hands when kids touched the rocks. Apparently the kids didn't feel any pain, but other kids would notice blood on their arms or legs! We went in June and I guess the leeches come out during rainy season or right after it rains. Eeeks! Cheers to fun adventures!
Chiba looks like a really amazing place. The way you go about so chilled makes this video so relaxed and laid back is a credit to you. Keep it up, Hannah 😊
Thank you for featuring these guides that take us to the other areas of a Tokyo trip. These are the sites and places that I'd like to visit but have no idea what's out there or where they are. Greatly appreciated!
There's a really nice beer maker there call Makuhari Brewery. Very nice staff, and just a wholesome family friendly vibe. Also the Makuhari exhibition center close by is where a lot of big events are held like Tokyo Comic Con...
7:45 This video is AMAZING! You did such a great job. Beautifully filmed and edited, the music is so touching. (PS I am adding these spots to my itinerary for my next trip to 二本.)
Yessss!! I've always felt like you love about Japan!!!! Actually I've live in Aus in 1 year half then I'm temporary back to JPN rn so my ears are really comfortable your Aussie accent!!! Arigato as always ❤😊
:-) I saw the title and I thought, “could she mean Chiba?” :-) Early 2015 I went there to watch JEF United, the biggest local football team, play at home (lovely experience), and I remember the adorable lady at the information center right below the closest (to the stadium) Monorail station, looking something in between “super surprised” and “in pleasant disbelief” to see A) a foreigner :-), B) a football tourist :-):-). Very-very-very well-shot video, the images, the sound, the editing, obviously the content, all very-very good. Many bonus points for the practical info in the end of the video. New subscriber.
I've been wanting to explore Chiba for a whole day full. Tried it once like this last January but turns out there are more worthy of visiting! Might be here again for hallloween week.
Chiba looks really pretty amazing. A complete contrast to the busy streets of Tokyo. Chill looking place. Mt Nokogiri looks awesome, with the way the structures are cut. Looks like something out of a sci-fi film. Picture it at night, with xenomorphs running about haha, very Aliens. Next trip over there, I’m going to add this to the list. Great upload!
I learned about the Cape Futtsu observation deck (Meiji Centennial Observation Tower) because a Japanese metal band did a RUclips music video there. ("Revive" by Nemophila). Every prefecture has something interesting, though I admit, one could spend a lifetime just exploring Tokyo.
Yea! A Hannah video! This one was really special. The music was beautiful and the areas you visited were so unique. Some of those scenes took my breath away. Your sense of adventure is fantastic!
Nice video Hannah! I've explored Chiba just a little bit, but I didn't know about some of these locations. I'm hoping to explore the area around Nomizo Waterfall & Turtle-Rock Cave next time I'm there. I usually rent a car because some of these locations are very far apart!
Just popping back to this video to say thanks to this video we've just done a day trip to Nokogiriyama from Tokyo, and it was amazing! Took the ropeway up to avoid some of the climb and had such a fun afternoon walking through the temple grounds and then down to Hota train station through the rice and veggie patches. Would recommend to anyone who can handle the stairs!
that rest stop in Tokyo Bay is so cool, the way the highway plunges down and disappears. gosh, i could spend hours there just staring out at the water. and that little cafe had such California surfer vibes it was insane... and i could also spend hours there, just staring out at the water hahaha and the brown hair looks amazing! somehow they matched your eye color exactly whoa
Im going to Tokyo in April and have been watching a ton of videos to get as much information as possible before arriving and have stumbled across your channel. I might need your encouragement to get up all these stairs myself. Really enjoying your vids so far.
It's been awhile since I last saw your videos and the last one was about you having an issue with your japanese visa. Glad to see you are back! Cheers from Canada! 🇨🇦
Thank you for brinigng this to our attention! I know of Chiba but never been myself. It's only an hour and 20 min from where I am staying in Tokyo so will definately make a day of it here.
Its so weird that we are currently in Narita and this video popped up! I guess RUclips knows what we are doing and what we enjoy watching! We actually visited Naritasan park today and the sakura was partially blooming, its probably our favorite garden in Japan and a welcome treat from sakura season in Tokyo... Thanks again for the great information, mushroom picking in Chiba is now on our list :D
I'm always looking for new things to see in Chiba, thanks for the awesome video! Next up on my list is Umihotaru. I've never needed to take the Aqualine, so I haven't had the chance to see it yet. However it seems like a cool place to visit. I'll probably go there and make a u-turn afterwards to head back to Chiba. I think you just have to pay a regular toll, but it seems you can turn back.
Naritasan Omotesando is just one train stop away from Narita Airport. It's a recommended place for who transit at Narita airport. I’m as a Japanese person, I feel a traditional Japan at Naritasan. しいたけ美味しい! Shiitake mushrooms are delicious.

What's the strange looking dish @9:29? (Nokogiri-yama and its crazy edo-period granite quarries already on my list). Thanks for the upload, Hannah and Chris 🙇♂
Fabulous video. Chiba tourism made an excellent choice to employ your services. Could I ask if the unique observation deck is close to the quaint cliff top cafe?
We made a good choice for sure, Hannah is the best! That unique observation deck at Cape Futtsu is about a 40 minute drive from the cafe...it's the only spot in the video that we wouldn't recommend going to without a car. There are lots of other great sunset spots in the area too though!
Hi Hannah beautiful videos and so much effort. Do you have any videos about Hokkaido I am deciding if I should travel there in may and I'm finding it hard to research the place
OMG what are the chances, I'm hiring a camper from Japan Campers north Chiba, tomorrow morning. I planned to travel around the Chiba area to get myself use to driving here and get the camper sorted before exploring the rest of Japan over the following 7 weeks :)

i just spent 3 months living in Chiba... i love chiba

Thank you for that, Hannah. I lived in Chiba for 12 years. It's been about 7 years since I've been back. It brought back a lot of memories...

Super well made video
Finally. Another solo video. The solo-ness is what made this channel so intriguing.

Ooooh I just realised you could do some really cool photography there at dusk with cool lighting 🤔 (I just watched dune and I’m feeling inspired lol)
I had Chiba on my list just for the suspended monorail haha it looks so cool 🤩
