I started watching this show in 1995 in Poland, it was histerically funny, what is now funny is the fact that this show is one of the bests and still on TV everywhere. 26 years after it was stopped producing.
Make sure Onslow wears a tie at the funeral lol best line for me. She doesn't even care about dying she's more worried Onslow looks presentable as always.
It's a pity this video doesn't show the part where Richard rushed to Hyacinth after she got knocked out... you could really tell just how much he loved her despite everything. Still... "please make sure Onslow wears a tie at the funeral." Hehehehe
Yes I love it too! Another scene I love which is similar, is the episode when Hyacinth makes Richard mend the electrics at the church hall. When it blows up, she immediately rushes to him, puts her arms around him and asks him what happened❤️❤️
My parents used to watch this, religiously. They have passed. My siblings and I intend to binge watch KUA on the anniversary of my Dad's death this year. As far as I'm concerned one of the funniest sitcoms ever.
OMG! Hyacinth reminds me SO much of my mum. We lived in Chicago in the 80's and her name was literally Margaret Thatcher! Prime Minister of ME she was! 🤣
There was supposed to be a Christmas special for 1996 and a sixth series in 1997 (Harold Snoads Its Bouquet not Bucket! Book) but Patricia Routledge kept everyone in the dark about its future until it became apparent she wasn't coming back sad really I wish it ran for many more years.
So do I the amount of pleasure I get from her appearance , her husband poor thing was so patient what a gem. Brush humour, is the best is the way they play with words. "The lady of the house speaking"! Unfortunately, that kind of humour is seen seldom. Thank you for uploading and allowing me to delf into a world of confusing rhetoric and the way life used to be.
She was in a class all by herself...I use to watch it every saturday night...I knew I was in for a surprise...it was always a good surprise...please come back to us...and make a lot of ppl happy...we need it now...we all do.
@@bessiejohnson9535 To be honest, British humour was at its best earlier, right back to when I was a kid. Human rights and others took to having texts corrected because they were not politically correct, therefore making it harder for writers to write comedy. I'm older now, but when I was young I went to school and lived with all kinds of people, we didn't make a difference nor did anyone care of they came from India, or Jamaica. Now we don't know what to say what is politically correct. I imagine that may take the joy of writing such shows. Another one I really loved was "the last of the summer wine", they were a great lot, unfortunately, after the first crew died I didn't feel the same about the show. I have to say, it is not the getting old that's a difficulty, it's loosing all the great actors and musicians along the road and realising we lost something precious and that is change, because that will not come back. The electronic music may have its advantages, but it's not the same. The wisdom of how to juggle words in such a manner that it can make people laugh heartily is a gift that is slowly disappearing through time. 😢😢😢😢😢
Hyacinth where are you...we need you now more than ever...as usually I got a good laugh from your funny antics...please your come back to us we miss...saying hello from N. Y. C. U. S. A.
I love this episode. It is so funny. I laughed from beginning to the end. I found this episode online and watched it. For those who are wondering it is the last episode. Season 5 episode 11.
2:13 - reminds me of a moment from the American comedy The Nanny where Fran Drescher recites Juliet's death speech in an intentionally BAD revival of Romeo & Juliet!
I remember her saying they ended the series so that Hyacinth and the other characters didn’t become parodies of themselves by repeating the same sort of scenarios.
L. Salisbury I thought that was the whole point. Hyacinth’s sisters, brother in law, husband, Elizabeth, and Emmet were all the likable ones, but Hyacinth was over bearing and thoroughly unlikable. I imagine that Routledge would feel somewhat disheartened that the character she is most associated with is so horrible. Interestingly Martin Clunes also does not like his character. I have heard him say in interviews that thinks that Doc Martin is a disgusting human being with few redeeming qualities.
@@artistjoh UK TV is better than US TV when it comes to a program with an unlikible, unsympathetic lead: Hyacinth Bucket, Basil Fawlty. When an American network tries that (ie "Buffalo Bill" with Dabney Coleman) it fails miseribly!
Wasnt this the final scene from the final episode? It's a shame they didn't do another series or two however I respect Patricia's decision to move on aswell.
Actually very few English born Queens after 1066 until almost the present day. Those who were English born were usually commoners such as Elizabeth Woodville, Four of Henry viii wives, and Anne Hyde.
The final line of Hyacinth bouquet "Tell God its Bouquet" love it.
Her attempt to sound as though she was speaking French is absolutely hilarious. I burst into laughter each time.
😂😂
I started watching this show in 1995 in Poland, it was histerically funny, what is now funny is the fact that this show is one of the bests and still on TV everywhere. 26 years after it was stopped producing.
I wish they made more episodes!
"Tell God it's BOUQUET."😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wow! You obviously watched the clip too! Awesome!
God: Its the Bucket woman. 🤣
That was the last dialogue she ever had in the show.
Iggywiggywoo 3000 what a way to end it
Mere moments from death, and already she's starting to issue orders to the Almighty....
Patricia is the best, when she started talking French gibberish I laughed so hard , she is the best
She is an amazing character, when im feeling down I always watch this show on RUclips
Me too!! She makes me laugh so much!! The show was so well written
Yeah I like these short clips on RUclips.
There are books too. I loved watching it as a child.
I can’t find anywhere to watch this.
@@ms.rstake_1211 there are books?!?! No way, BRB after I find and read them all
One of the best scenes where Emmett was able to troll Hyacinth! 😂😂😂
I agree lolll
I loved it! Haha
Does anyone know what episode this is?
@@stardustalways Season 5,ep.11
Lol... ha.
3 PM on a Wednesday 😂😂😂Bless Richard
....aaand it rained..!!!😆😂🤣
2:07 her French skills are perfect ;-)
It's "Bouquet".
Engraved on Hyacinth's headstone. 😂😂😂😂
Ha ha ha! : )
@Razvan Zabalovici coz then it really will be bouquet and would no longer be funny so that’s probably why
Brilliant. She really was a great physical comedienne.
Loved her dive into the hedge every time Onslow's dog barked at her from the car.
Loved her. The whole cast such gems.
Hyacinth's "French" is hysterical
loooooooooòoooooooooooooool
If I die, tell Onslow to wear a tie-hahahahaha! 😂😂😂😂😂
No matter how many times I watch KUA, Hyacinth makes me laugh out loud every single time.
One of the best British imports in my lifetime👏😁😂
2:07 LMAO. That French impersonation haha
I literally cannot fall asleep before I watch at least one episode. ❤️💯
Make sure Onslow wears a tie at the funeral lol best line for me. She doesn't even care about dying she's more worried Onslow looks presentable as always.

The Vicar seemed more concerned about getting sued for the accident lol
Hyacinth, still trying to keep up,appearances. Onslow is a lost cause, God love him!❤️
Yes I love it too! Another scene I love which is similar, is the episode when Hyacinth makes Richard mend the electrics at the church hall. When it blows up, she immediately rushes to him, puts her arms around him and asks him what happened❤️❤️
The blooper of that Emmet and Hyacinth French scene where David breaks character is just as hilarious. It's a wonder they made it through the scene xD
My favorite episode, I adore this woman! " Where is mu 'usband, the kiiiiiinng!?" :DDDD !
My parents used to watch this, religiously. They have passed. My siblings and I intend to binge watch KUA on the anniversary of my Dad's death this year. As far as I'm concerned one of the funniest sitcoms ever.
I loved watching all the episodes. Hyacinth was truly a work of art.
I was sure I’d seen every episode multiple times, but it seems I missed one! Must go and watch it!
This is the series finale.
This is one of the Christmas special episodes, I think there were 3 in total.
Hyacinth was queen for a day
In the Mortal realm, yes.
In.... Shall we say the afterlife....
“Tell God it’s BOUQUET!”
Yep. Just watched it. Saw that. Heard that!
Learning to speak French:
Expectations - 2:05
Reality - 2:08
It's such a shame that Patricia didn't want to do a sixth season of this comedy series.
I love when she tries to imitate the French language.
OMG! Hyacinth reminds me SO much of my mum. We lived in Chicago in the 80's and her name was literally Margaret Thatcher! Prime Minister of ME she was! 🤣

That’s a good thing. Stylistically it’s a bit of a hangover of the ‘Allo ‘Allo and Hi-de-Hi years and it wouldn’t have limped well into the late 90s.
And then BBC enacted their revenge when her next series wasn’t sterling quality.
You can’t blame her, even she had enough of Hyacinth Bucket
OMG Hyacinth's attempt at "French" (I'm assuming that's what it was...?!) LOL just TOO MUCH! :-D
I Really wish this show was still played on t.v. It really made my Saturday nights.
In the USA it is run on a Pennsylvania Public Broadcasting Network Channel 39. It still pulls in the funding.
@@JJfromPhilly67 I live in Pa!! I'll have to find out what local channel that is. Thank you!!

You can't fool God Hyacint, I'm afraid that you are stuck on Bucket.😁.😅.
A very accurate presentation of grandiose narcissism.
‘ 3pm on a Wednesday and it was raining ‘ - good old Richard ! She can’t speak French but then puts of a dreadful French accent! 😂😂
Richard, Emmett, and Elizabeth essentially have formed a moral support group to cope with their common terror
She is so funny.
Good comedy. 😁😁😁

Hyacinth wasn't really supposed to be a likeable character. That was the whole point of the show. Nobody likes her and she doesn't even realise.
Wasnt this the final scene from the final episode? It's a shame they didn't do another series or two however I respect Patricia's decision to move on aswell.
Brian Schienbein according to the description it’s the 11th episode of the 5th series so they might be right.
3 pm on a Wednesday 😂 Richard 🤣

Maybe Richard was related to Charlie Bucket of chocolate factory fame.
