Yes they do look similar to her outfits and it would fit with the character that she modelled her fashion on a royal. It's shown in one episode she keeps track of Elizabeth's schedule too as if she'd ever need to contact her and needs to know when she'd be available.
I often used to hide between mirrors or pillars in the department store whenever someone was approaching I didn't want to see. Not always succeeded 😂😁😀
Mrs. Barker Finch, Mrs. Council-Nuget, and Mrs. Fortescu were amazing drivers of Hyacinth’s snobbery!! I do believe this episode of Driving Mrs. Fortescu was my favorite since it brought Mrs. Barker Finch into the action as well.
After this scene when Hyacinth goes inside the pub where everyone is playing darts Onslow: "what are you drinking Hyacinth?" Hyacinth: "A very large whiskey!" Onslow: "Oh nyaice!"
There were lots of ways to record things. How do you think movies/TV shows were created. Do you really think people can't record things without cellphones?? That is so funny.
Through Our Amazing And Wonderfully Lord's Help, together with all the directors, executive directors, and last but certainly not least producers Hyacinth was always good at disguises whenever she didn't want somebody to notice her the only problem is it didn't always work the way she planned. lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In an interview I watched, Patricia Routledge said there were only 3 times she didn't perform her own stunts because they were too dangerous, but wouldn't say which ones. I think one of them is the scene where the truck is driving down the road and she's standing, holding onto the back of the cab. You can't really see her face in that scene, since it's at a distance, but can clearly see her in all the scenes when the truck isn't moving. (This is just my opinion).
Her mortal enemy mrs barker-finch, i think this is the only time we saw her, delia wheelwright was another enemy. The funniest part here for me is the fact she hangs onto the bloody handbag through the entire thing. Its alot like mr bean this scene. A character trying to avoid something to such an extreme length they end up just digging themselves a bigger hole.
Wow, Patricia was quite the athlete in a lot of her scenes. No stunt double for her. Brava!
Especially since she was in her 60s!
She did really well! I did learn there was a stunt double when she was on the horse and when she fell off the boat (yacht to Hyacinth 😅)
Hyacinth's great efforts to avoid Mrs Barker-Finch end up on the back of a lorry, so very funny hahahaha.☺😅
Looks like Hyacinth is getting “carried away” again.
"Oh, no. Mrs. Barker-Finch".😲😯😱👜😮😂🤣😂
I can remember watching Patricia Routledge in this scene. I was crying with laughter. A great talent.
What a masterclass in physical comedy, facial expressions, and execution. The flailing of the legs as the cab started-up was hilarious.
Patricia was such an epic talent. She could do physical comedy aswell as other greats like John Ritter and Lucille Ball.
She's still alive.
@@scabbydoo2146 I know but she doesn't perform anymore.
@@scabbydoo2146 His comment was about her being able to do stunts. She is very funny and talented.
Driver I wish too alight 🤣
She is truly a great actress....love watching the show
"Oh no, not Mrs.Barker Finch" LOL
LOL. Hyacinth and her double surnamed "friends".
One of the best scenes I've seen on TV. Honestly. I love this so much.
STOOOP!!! STOOOOOOOOOP!!!
Good afternoon! Lovely day, isn't it?
I wish this was back again. This was a show that the queen mother used to watch regularly. Hyacinth clothes were modeled after the queen mother.
I just noticed that

I’m sure we’ve all done similar things to avoid people. I once hid in a bin bag in kitchen...clearly it was a very good disguise😂😫
Literally a rubbish disguise
@Jay Barry, very true!!!😂
😂😂😂
I often used to hide between mirrors or pillars in the department store whenever someone was approaching I didn't want to see. Not always succeeded 😂😁😀
She cracks me up. One of my favorite comedies.
2:08 HEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPP!
One of my favorites. I loved these British comedies that came on /Thursday or Friday nights. I could hardly wait to get home from work to see them.
Hyacinth didn't want Richard to be in the pub with Daisy, Onslow & Rose
Such a great actress show me an actress today who is willing to make us laugh at her
Can we just appreciate that the driver doesn't notice a thing?
Patricia was such an amazing actress
She still is! :)

Fabulously wonderful Patricia xx
This one was hilarious when she gets on that truck lmao
This was one of the best scenes! 🎨
"Where have you been?"
"I bumped into two ladies I know."
I loved this programme.
I can't Stop Laughing everytime I watch this Clip
Driver
I wish to alight!
Oh my 😁how I loved Keeping up.........😁😂😋😃😄😅😆☺️...😉😁
Hyacinth was so lucky 🍀 not to live in the age of cellphones. Imagine if someone were to record her antics. What would she do for them to delete it.
There were lots of ways to record things. How do you think movies/TV shows were created. Do you really think people can't record things without cellphones?? That is so funny.
@@Michelle-pn9xt Yes but back in the early to mid 90s when Keeping up Appearances was filmed, who carried around a portable camera that often?
I hope Hyacinth doesn't forget to write.
Thank you!It was such a joy like always!💝

This episode has everything great about the show rolled into one
Patricia you are the best😘❤
Driver I wish to alight 😂
I just love this show !
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 lovely day, isn’t it
Easy to sit in a pub than stuck on the back of a lorry
Good afternoon! Lovely day isn't it....
I like how you can see the soles of her shoes as she tries climbing down.
Lol! Driver I wish to Alight.
I loved this episode, as it showed Hyacinth getting her comeuppance for her behavior in the prior episode, "A Strange Man."
I love this series ❤
And I love Hyacinth!
I wish she were my neighbour 😅
Well planned by all involved. Very funny though.
Great comedy Keeping up appearances They should bring to TV okay
Even though Richard ha passed away I really feltbsory for him

She admitted to not doing the horseback riding one and the truck one in some interview I saw. Not sure about the third one.
@@rainbowgirlism I just looked it up - the third was in the Yachting episode. Her stunt double was Elaine Ford all 3 times.
@@mysticwolf75 makes sense!
Driver, I wish to alight!
I love the British cars at that era
I love it.....they are all great
best show ever

Rugby Tavern!
😂😂😂👍👍❤️❤️
Mrs barker finch
So funny 😂
This scene makes me impression that Mrs Bucket (it's Byu-kei) must be somehow related to Mr Bean;)
I wish to alight!
Byron bay and tweed would have mrs buckets around the place now
Aniston has 20 children -- see how this goes Chopin. Fantastic. Adjust the IQs first, of course ...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When you rather not want keeping up appearances
Zany , bat crazy hyacinth. Nothing like her .

When you watch these episodes it's so far fetched and so unrealistic.
