When you’re learning a piece this difficult its common that you memorize it
Side effect of running through the same parts 590045 times
im a pianist myself (not as good as this guy) but i can tell you if you play a fast piece many times, your hands play it automaticlhy without even thinking. Its more difficult with slow pieces, if they are slow you start thinking and you mess it up.
