- I love both these covers , upon review I have decided I like the massive attack one the most but I absolutely love the way AURORA sings the Life On Mars line in Life On Mars :) Which is your fav ?

She really makes the covers her own. A good example of that is her version of Into the unknown, (from Frozen 2) but with only her. Great reaction btw 😊

This takes me back to when I discovered AURORA. The first time I ever heard her sing was Teardrop followed by Life on Mars! (followed soon after by pretty much everything else she's ever sung). I sometimes wonder if I would have ever found out about her if I wasn't a fan of Massive Attack and decided to click on a youtube suggestion that popped up? In any case I'm glad I did, and happy that I've listened to her every day since.
Perhaps my favourite cover is her version of Ariana Grande's God is a Woman, live at P3 (she was given the cover to do out of the blue and had less than an hour to work out an arrangement, practise and then sing it live). It's a song where I'm not keen on the original but love what she did with it.

Love Marina also! She was one of the first pop-ish artist I started listening to. Grew up listening to metal, punk and hardcore before that. She kind of opened up my taste of music way back, for new things, like Aurora that now is easy my favorite artist!

There is a better life on mars version from Aurora
Life on Mars can't be sung by humans. Luckily Bowie and Aurora are not really of the human realm. Pretty sure Bowie is waiting in Auroras mothership right now.
Life on Mars is my favourite of the two. There is another version where Aurora plays the piano and sings, and also she sings this at Nidarosdomen. They are all slightly different but all very good. Check out other covers. Like So Long Marianne (Leonard Cohen) in Chicago.

I love Aurora covering other artists mostly because she does exactly this; make them her own. But it sounds really good when she is more true to the original also, like when she does Thank U by Alanis Morissette.

Aurora, like her namesake in the northern skies, remarkable beauty in style and effect. As well as a voice that is pure magic.
I am a total Aurora fan boy right now but I cannot stress enough that all of her covers are amazing. And you should react to all of them eventually.
That being said I think that not mentioned here her cover of Wrecking Ball should be a priority. It is so much different from the original and yet still so true and emotional. Even if one for some reason doesn't like Miley Aurora's cover is worth listening to on it's own.

that Teardrops cover just makes me think of London Grammar so much... that style of music... the feel is the same and just as magical
Such a great reaction. As always. Loved it. One thing I would find extremely interesting is listening to different versions of the same song one after the other and comparing them. She really makes every performance unique but there are some songs this is especially true like Murder Song and Running With the Wolves. They have versions so different from each other, that they are basically independent songs. For example Murder Song has: the acoustic version, the studio version, the alternative version, a piano version and the live version.
If anyone would like me to make a collection of different versions of songs, I am happy to do so.

Great covers (as always with Aurora), although there are better Aurora versions of Life On Mars. This one also has something strange with microphone or something (hart to tell me but sound is a little "ssss" in many moments).
