I think I see why Mr. Ratan Tata adores this guy. Dude sounds competent, genuine and not over the top.
For those who don't know, Shantanu Naidu is also an author. In his book 'I came upon a lighthouse', you can know about his relationship with Mr. Ratan Tata. I would urge people to give it a read. It's a great book.

I don't understand how a young age boy is becoming a gm in tata motors . That's why there is no service lineup in tata nowadays it's just working upon sources . No experience is being counted here

Such a simple living and high thinking person, used to drive a Nano which most of the Indians failed to appreciate and own. A highly talented guy, humble and cordial. We upgraded from i20 to tata safari facelift ...same color white last month.Its fantastic car and as shantanu said..i feel its just gliding !
How is your experience with the car? My uncle is looking to buy the Harrier but the negetive reviews of Harrier and Safari twins about issues with car all over the internet, is making the decision tough.
@@shas312 Definitely go for Harrier/Safari. It is a fantastic and excellent and great car. Problems can come in any brand car be it Maruti Hyundai Mahindra and Tata and it does come. And people have the habit of criticizing the Tata from a long time. They are the ones who have never seen or drove any Tata car. They just want to defame the brand and nothing else. Just simply ignore them. And go for Harrier/Safari. My experience with Harrier and Tata has been fantastic and great. I have never faced any issues in my car except minor ones which comes in every car. No car is perfect. So definitely go ahead and buy it! Just ignore the people who gives negative reviews as they just want to defame the brand.
@@shreypatil3876 , Yes. Thats right. Tata gets bashed too much by people. We have booked Harrier Fearless + AT and the car is expected to arrive at the dealership this week. Would get it after a thorough PDI, as this would eliminate the chances of getting a defective product. Btw, we too own a Nexon EV Max from the past 16 months. Though the car has its own share of niggles owing to being a new technology, the product overall is excellent and the service experience till now has been pretty good contrary to all the bashing they get.
Is safari more louder inside cabin ?

I wish Tata would bring back Nano and this time rebrand it affordable and not cheap. So many families need that car. China has a lot of small cars and they sell really well. India needs its own affordable family car.
I Hope more pet owners will see this, and provide a better experience to their pets. The sole reason I am changing from rapid to xuv700 is my golden retriever.

Most people who are going to buy the new tata safari are mostly city drivers and mostly will be driving in cities and proper highways. This cars will only be driven on cement/gravel road. I think there is no need for 4 by 4 for this.

Surprisingly my wife has a same complain about the interior Colour but she can’t resist anymore to get this Giant to her Garage. Proud to Say and Feel that am a Tata Owner with a Nexon Kaziranga Parked already in my Garage

What is the update for diesel vehicles 10 year rule. Paying upwards of 30 lacs for a car, do we see the value going to Zero after 10 years or even before considering the government has no clue about pollution management.
Having spoken to several auto manufacturers, it seems that the 10 year role is more to discourage diesels but will not be possible to implement this early. Not for at least a couple more decades. Diesel is here to stay for now :)
@@shantanunaiduofficial Thanks Shantanu for sharing industry insights. Appreciate the honest response. On the flip side I have real examples where a person paid 40 lacs for a top model Endeavour 5 yrs ago for BS4 engine and we all know how good that Ford engine was. Now that perfect condition SUV is lying in his garage since govt decided to blanket ban all BS4 diesel engine vehicles. So I don’t see a very bright future for diesel with EU banning diesel by end of this decade and the senseless push for EVs everywhere especially in India where the infrastructure is abysmal for EV charging. Tata should have introduced the petrol turbo engine this year with these 2 beauties. Lastly I hope Tata did some R&D for the dashboard as much left knee kept on bruising due to the design of Harrier and Safari. This was one of the top reasons I withdrew from paying booking amount for the last edition of Safari Red Dark edition.

Only thing I recommend tata to make the experience better at showroom. Because they're least bother to attend customer because they will come and buy with the model in their mind. There is no effort to convince or convert customer where they just come compare with their buying car.
It depends upon the dealership. Tata has done quite a job improvement regarding that. My family has owned tata since 1998 when the indica came out. Now we have used around 3 indicas and one vista now we have two nexon. Thinking now to buy the safari now. Waiting for the update for the adaptive cruise control once it is get we will buy that.

My biggest hesitation with buying the Safari or Harrier is the longevity of Diesel vehicles on Indian Roads, with all the talk of banning them.

Certainly there are fortunate exceptions to any norm and i wish each buyer always is! My own uncle still holds on and sometines literally holds together his Indigo marina since 2002...My use case too is completely led by my travelling with & for my dogs for the past 20 years, and Tata always got considered over the last 11 purchases, for they DO offer space. However, in discussion with felllow enthusiasts on forums, my own upclose experience having owned 3 Fiats that shared service bays and having seen way too many parked by the roadside to reccomend a buy - it's seems like a lottery at best.
Since the buyer has Tata connections im sure the Safari wont become Sufferi for it does look good! His point of touch controls on dash, is my bugbear with current cars - don't enjoy resetting muscle memory or having to take eyes off the road without knows guiding the way. I'm left purchasing base models for this purpose across my current 3 😞

No hate intended, but that’s not a legal (standard issue) number plate. A high profile person such as Shantanu should be more careful.
It’s the legal Bharat version …. only can be optioned by govt or if the company u work is present in minimum 3 states.
