Cobra Kai is Johnny’s perspective, so when he tells the convincing story of how Larusso came to town and stole his girl, the creators of the show purposely leave out certain things that prove Johnny is the real bad guy.... because it’s from Johnny’s perspective where he’s the “good” now. However, you only have to go back and watch the movie again to realise Daniel is the good guy. During the scene where Larusso is in the Chinese restaurant with his mom, the Cobra Kai members see him through the window and quickly hide, they’re clearly seen planning something. That scene takes place during the daylight. Then the next scene, which is the same day sees Larusso biking home and the Cobra Kai members attack him on their motorbikes by pushing him off a Cliff. That scene takes place at night. Therefore... Johnny must have seen Larusso through the window and then quickly ran away before Larusso could see him and his crew. Then Johnny must have plotted to quickly go pick up their bikes and come back before Larusso leaves. They then would have stalked Larusso for the rest of the day until he was alone and there were no witnesses. At which point, Johnny pushed Larusso off a Cliff... that was attempted murder. So in revenge for Johnny being dumped and out of jealousy towards Larusso, Johnny Lawrence premeditated a murder. He stalked Daniel Larusso until he was alone and the moment was right and at which point he pushed Larusso down a steep Cliff. The attack wasn’t a spur of the moment thing, it was pre planned and it was done with the intention of getting rid of Daniel Larusso so Johnny could attempt to get back with his ex girlfriend. Therefore, Johnny Lawrence is the true villain of the Karate Kid. This murder attempt stays with Larusso until he meets Johnny again. Daniel, understandably never trusts Johnny after the attempt on his life and this causes him to make some decisions in Cobra Kai that paint him as the villain. Daniel is clearly suffering from PTSD. He holds a grudge against Johnny out of fear, however Johnny created that fear and scarred Larusso for life. So the lines are more blurred in Cobra Kai... especially when Johnny is on a path of redemption. But the fact remains, Larusso was never the bully in Karate Kid. He was merely a guy who was the victim of a jealous, dangerous ex boyfriend. I rest my case, your honour.
Bravo!!! I mean how can anyone forget that frightening vicious assault on the night of the Halloween party? 😟 I was 13 when I saw the movie and that scene was scary for me. Gotta say, Ralph Macchio aged exceedingly well & still a handsome looking dude.
I was crazy about Ralph Macchio during my teenage yrs..
Love Ralph he’s Beautiful in every way. ❤️❤️❤️
Always been a fan of Ralph Macchio and the Karate Kid so Cobra Kai is a real blessing and the cast is amazing those young actors are very talented.
Does this man even age? Hes 59 and looks like 39 😎
In Karate Kid he was about 22-23 and looked 16, at age 30-31 in My Cousin Vinny he looked 20-22, he just ages at a slower rate.
What a good actor👏
I've always loved when actors completely embrace the rolls that made them famous.
So happy for Ralph Macchio having success as he got older. Well deserved and he looks incredible for his age.
Anyone who hasn't watched this show, do it!
It's awesome!
Just hook all the Cobra Kai content straight to my veins.
he was really gonna end it with "Daniel LaRusso everybody!"
*Johnny walks in* “You couldn’t leave well enough alone could you Larusso, Will smiths kid will DEMOLISH YOUU”
It was "The Moment of Truth" in Portugal ahahhaah
Macchio is awesome. He defends his character to the end of times.
👏👏👏👏
👏👏👏 this was planned well and the assumptions make sense to what happened in the movie. Thank you. Daniel Larusso is the underdog
Bravo!!! I mean how can anyone forget that frightening vicious assault on the night of the Halloween party? 😟 I was 13 when I saw the movie and that scene was scary for me. I know Daniel played a prank on Johnny (who 100% deserved it) but Johnny and his thugs nearly beat Daniel to death that night. 😩 Miyagi saved his life.
THANK YOU👏👏👏👏

6:07 Jimmy instinctively called Ralph Maccio what every one of us has been calling him: "Daniel LaRusso", then Both of them realized that slip-up after few seconds and laughed it up :)
I was in love with him back then lolol
I kinda grew up with the Karate Kid movies. Ralph Machhio is so amazing in Cobra Kai. Also, I still can't believe he's almost 60 years old which I discovered just recently. Thought he'd be, if anything, in his early 50s.
just imagine if Robert Downey Jr got the Karate Kid part and Ralph got Iron man.... lol this show is sooooo good BTW im waiting for the weekend so i can binge this whole new season!
Don't you mean what if?
Get in to your heads, that this year that man will turn 60 YEARS OLD.
Crane Kick was legal because when Johnny swept the leg, he followed up with a roundhouse to Daniel’s face and got a point.
Moment of Truth in Portugal :)
Omg, "The Outsiders" with all legends.
