Every community has been stereotyped by Bollywood. She being a Muslim, finds her co-religionists are stereotyped. Gujaratis shown as Business-minded, doing garba all day, eating thepla and gaathiya.
Punjabis being always happy, doing bhangra everyday. South Indians clubbed under one single category: Madrasi. Favourite food item Dosa, and favourite actor Rajnikanth.

Stereotyping a community culturally and stereotyping a community in bad light is different my man. All those examples of how Gujratis are portrayed as businessmen, south indians are portrayed as loving dosas are done cuz a majority of them are like that and that's some thing that's engrained in their culture. But you can't just portray and stereotype an entire nation as the villain just cuz it's a bunch of terrorists from that land who are going around and terrorizing people. You see how that's a trend in recent times wherein only those movies which represent "PAKISTAN" or "MUSLIMS" being the enemy, not a bunch of morons who hardly make up 2-3% but the entire frickin community, blow up in the box office

The step of ban might have been unfair for the artists. But their grievance are nothing in front of the family members of those martyrs. And, the ban of Pak. artists is Pakistan's and not India's fault.

In India few years back when every community Weren't as much fanatic, organised and sensitive as they are now and bollywood was still accepted you could make movies like pk or oh my God whereas even in those time none could dare to make any movies on any other religion. Fault finding was meant to done only against sanatan.
Even in those movies which were suppose to show pakistan in a bad way or pakistan angle was not at all required even in those bollywood found a way to show them in a good light just to increase their market. Eg: Tiger zinda hai, lal singh chadda where God knows why luitenan Dan character was replaced by a pakistani guy.
Even in most movies muslim were shown as allah ka banda or pure whereas his counterpart hindu was shown as the bad guy. Eg. From the days of Sholay to vaastav, in vastav paresh Rawal was the good guy, kuch kuch hota hai where namaz was shown as pure and Pooja as un cool or old fashioned... I can name many such movies.
We already have enough diversity and talent in India to collaborate and for integration. Bollywood is superficial ,hollow and shallow. It stereotypes everything with zero research done.. be it for bengali, bihari, tamil, muslim ,brahmin or anyone. It strives only for money therefore it may not provide for intermingling of diverse regional cultures but there are other big Indian movie industries coming up now. So thankyou .. India definitely does not need pakistani collaboration. They can happily stay stay where they are .

As an Indian muslim i disagree with several points she said. Firstly muslims are not stereotyped the way she said, yes they show white topi and beard sometimes because its reality but not all the time (ex. Imran in ZNMD). And Muslims are not portrayed as enemys all the time, they are shown as good people also. Also bollywood has movies in which pakistanis are portrayed in a good way (bajrangi bhaijaan) and when they are portrayed as protagnist , it is about terrorism which is a reality.
The ban is completely justificable ,it helps more indian talent to came forward also art and culture are not related to politics but are related to national security ,the exchange in culture may have helped pak with money but for India it was a deal of loss ,i do watch pak dramas and respect art but national security is totally undeniable for India 🇮🇳❤️✌️

Hollywood is not Hollywood because its only americans; it is because it includes people from all over the world (while giving them stereotype roles or whatever) People look at hollywood as the last destination of success. Aftwr hollywood one could only think of bollywood but now south korean cinema has built a name for itself and even chinese cinema is booming. If We indians really want to feel like bosses just like hollywood does; we need to let people or even celebrated actors from bangladesh, sri lanka, pakistan and afghanistan, the south asian countires think that entering bollywood/indian cinema is the ultimate success for them because its so big. Example: people like nora fatehi and katrina…Just imagine south industry merging under one bollywood…(lets not forget there are so many kollywood, tollywood, merging with bollywood is the only good solution and today its in the path of merging into one) and people from all over asia rooting to come to bollywood…We really beed to change our Indian mindset. Canada and USA has a similar disparity of understanding between each other. Canadians consume lot of content created by Americans about Americans, compared to the other way around. Therefore, Canadians know a lot more about Americans, while Americans hardly know much about Canadians.

I know many people think how can we be friends when there is cross border terrorism which the Gov/Army is dealing firmly and that's good. But in my opinion for example in our childhood, if my parents had any fall out with neighbor elders, they never told us anything. In fact as child we were friends and we played with neighbors kids too despite the parents not in talking terms. The concept behind this which I understand now is that you don't involve or use your children in your fight/quarrel no matter how bad or wrong it is. Let the children have their own mind and decision after they are grown up to remain friends or not. Because that gives a hope that tomorrow they might become friends again unlike the elders. Now replace parents with politicians/media and naïve citizens as children.
I know the contrary argument for this would be how can I see/tolerate when they are killing our army and innocent citizens. My answer is to deal with them we have our Army and Police. They Army doesn't feel bad or asks citizen to cut off ties with them, its the politician and media who creates narratives for their benefit.
