as someone who has played with cubes for 15 + years, i only recently started watching videos and learning algorithms online. Before that, i managed to figure out that you need to solve it layer by layer, some of my own algorithms to swap corners or edge pieces, and managed to solve the 3 x 3 without any tutorials consitently, although it would take a while due to the lack of a step by step process, but just solving it bit by bit and using my self made algorithms when needed.
In the past, I was actually trying to solve the cube one face at a time, and I was able to solve 2 faces intuatively after like 2 months. After that, I just watch a tutorial on RUclips.
4:03 This is what is so fatal to most people trying to solve a cube, they try to keep everything in place and then fail bc they can't do anything. You have to learn that you take what you have done apart, then put it back together differently

I legitimately accidentally got three sides at one point. I could get two sides after a not of trouble and then I was doing a bunch of random moves in desparation and I suddenly saw that I had three sides solved. No idea how I stumbled across it, but I lucked out somehow
Ok but I actually did manage to make two solve faces first time playing with the cube😂. Took my a real long train ride to do it, but it did! @Roy yo what do you think? 😂🤙
@Roy why do you think I'm capping
1:03 Some Noncuber: But the centers do move!!!!!!
Cuber: *Doing Slices*
M,E and S?
Yeah, those ones. But now you made my joke sound bad.
I tried doing face by face for literally 6 hours in a road trip. That was the worst time of my life
beginners always think: you want to solve face by face.... you solved one side but you don't ant to mess it up
takes 5 years to thnk of a move
It maked me laugh so much when you took out the piece and started explaining how each piece has multiple colors. 😂
I remember The first time i bought a Cube i tried to solve it side by side.
It took me one week to get 2 sides.
And I even got 3 sides in a month.
But now that i learned how to solve it normally i don't even know how to get 2 sides right.(with out solving the whole thing)
take a 9x9 and solve it like a 3x3. What I mean with this is that you make cubes of 3x3 and then solve the rest of the cube like a 3x3.
Solving 1 side at a time is so hard and just iconic in general
hey before i learned how to fully solve a cube, i was still able to solve one layer, the side and correct locations of those edges and corners, and it was all intuitive that's better than most non-cubers
Ayo same!
Wait thats actually impressive haha good job bro!
Same, I figured that one out myself.
wait some people COULDN'T??????
I’ve never properly solved a Rubik’s cube because I needed this website to tell me all the moves. Seeing people do this stuff is insane and my brain can’t comprehend it.
non cubers think cubing is so fascinating
Great Vid as always love ur content and keep up the AMAZING work!
Try solving a cube without a single regrip.(choose your grip wisely)
I did that, I ended up paining my own Hand lol!
Finsished and satisfied
My first attempt at this took me a couple hours to do this, and when I finally finished it, the Taipei 101 shot out its fireworks to celebrate the beginning of 2020. Quite the perfect timing if you ask me
I ended up using orozco for edges and corners
I can proudly say that I have solved the cube the very beginner way
Edit: What’s the background music you use?
I like thai food I don’t think a beginner would be able to figure out commutators
Desbug
James Manto I am not a beginner a have been cubing for a few months (and even then I still had cubed for like 3 months)
I had to do orozco cuz I gave up on trying to do it like a beginner
woah happy new year
as someone who has played with cubes for 15 + years, i only recently started watching videos and learning algorithms online.
Alternate title: j perm being a cubing noob for ten mins straight
Alternate title: j perm uses commutators to do the challenge again because it's the only possible way

with a gan cube
The alg he had at 9:22 can easily be solved with R2 U2 3 times. I learnt that alg when doing the belt method lol
We need “I know how to do commutators” merch
In the past, I was actually trying to solve the cube one face at a time, and I was able to solve 2 faces intuatively after like 2 months. After that, I just watch a tutorial on RUclips.
Just no
Also, at 0:08, are the 2 eggs for lubrication?
yes just put the yolk into the pieces
Btw it is a thought of each and every person who cant solve it lmao...😜

This is how I originally tried to solve the cube when I was like 8 or something lol....I was very stupid 😂
I'm also a cuber and I decided to try this and actually did it thanks for the algorithms
No one:
Dylan: *COMMUTATORS*
as if no fmcers, top blders, and big cubers dont use comms
So true tho
4:03 This is what is so fatal to most people trying to solve a cube, they try to keep everything in place and then fail bc they can't do anything. You have to learn that you take what you have done apart, then put it back together differently
This challenge basically turns into OLL/PLL spam after the second side, which no one who doesn't know would ever do... unless they figure that out.
However, the GAN 3x3s come with a nifty guide on how to solve the cube using the beginner's method, as well as full F2L, OLL, & PLL.
I just solved a cube thanks to your videos. Funny how when I was 8 I did try to solve like this and thought that 2.5 sides is as far as you could go. Now I know it was definitely as far as 8 year old me could ever go.
Literally I just learned to solve the cube and when I showed my family literally all of them said and I quote “I just peeled the stickers off” and I’m over here in my head like ‘the rubik’s brand doesn’t even have stickers anymore’ 😂
*When jperm notifies*
me: I am SPEED.
Finally, a video for non-cubers
Non cubers when they see this: They called me a mad man
bro this takes beginner method to a whole new level
6:30 can we just appreciate that timing and perfectos

so intuitive so simple
beginner-friendly
In 2030 this is the method many people will be switching.
It is the Wang perm method. It has 49 algs in oll and 22 pll bcos there is a new pll in the pll in this method called DW perm
Non-cuber:*that is how I think to solve a cube*
I found a less simple way to solve four sides from a solved state: L2 U2 L2 R2 U2 R2 M2 E2
Next time: solving the cube with peeling the stickers of.

I legitimately accidentally got three sides at one point. I could get two sides after a not of trouble and then I was doing a bunch of random moves in desparation and I suddenly saw that I had three sides solved. No idea how I stumbled across it, but I lucked out somehow
Teacher:How did you spend your lockdown?
Me:I was trying to solve a rubik cube one side at a time
It was only a matter of time before he did this. The solving a 4x4 like a 2x2 really messed me up. Nice job tho!
I got 3 solved before I actually learned how to solve it, I was so proud and upset when I messed it up😂
9:07
You can do the alg from your video
"You screwd up"
S', M', U, M, U2, S.
And it's short😁
or u could do M2 U2 M2 U2 thats shorter lol
@@stephonramnarine714 but it doesn't solve the case
@@yoavvishne7179 i know but its a alg that leaves 4 side solved it dosent have to solve j perms case that he got
0:07 what does that 3 no means
Add 2 eggs???
Ok but I actually did manage to make two solve faces first time playing with the cube😂. Took my a real long train ride to do it, but it did! And by the time I get the two faces done I can tell that it's probably not the way to do it, but yeah two adjacent faces is how far I got on my own without outside help.
8:33 M2 U2 M2 U2 4 moves :D
Edit: since someone already put that alg before I did, i need to think of something creative... solve a 3 by 3 only using singles moves(scramble with single moves as well so you don't get any impossible cases)
