They really did Book! Ron dirty and gave Movie! Hermione all his best lines & moments in the movies. Like in Prisoner of Azkaban, when Snape calls Hermione an insufferable know-it-all. In the movie Ron agrees with Snape, but in the books Ron sasses him & sticks up for Hermione. Another example: remember during that whole confrontation in the Shrieking Shack with Sirius Black & Remus Lupin, Hermione stands protectively in front of Harry and tells them that if they wanted to hurt Harry they'd have to go through her first? Hermione never did that in the book. Ron did. :/ I can probably think of at least 20 other times the filmmakers did Book! Ron dirty but then my comment would be even longer than it already is lmao. I agree. Movie Ron got robbed. First book: 1.When Troll is in bathroom with Hermione, she is panicking and not able to move from fear basically, harry jumped on troll and put his wand into his nose and Ron is the only one that remains somewhat calm and takes out wand and knocks the troll out (without Hermione guiding him like in movie). 2.After that when they are on that killer plant (Devil's snare), Ron isn't the one panicking, Hermione is. She says devils snare likes dark and damp so Harry says light a fire to which she replies in panic that she doesn't have any wood. Ron then says "ARE YOU CRAZY? ARE YOU A WITCH OR NOT?". Only then she takes her wand and lights a fire (note that both Harry and Ron were incapacitated by plant so they couldn't). After they are free Harry says luckily Hermione listens in herbology classes and Ron looks at her and says it's lucky that Harry stayed calm. Second book: 1. When Malfoy calls Hermione a 'mudblood', in the movie Hermione explains what it is. In the books she doesn't know so Ron gives the explanation to both her and Harry. 2. When Harry says he is hearing voices, Ron says that hearing voices in wizarding world is not good, not Hermione. 3. In the books, when they talk to Aragog (big spider) and start running to get to the car, Ron actually picked up Hagrids dog and saved him. He wasn't useless like in the movie. Third book: As mentioned in comment above, Ron got detention for standing up to Snape for insulting Hermione and Ron said that Black will have to kill them all not just Harry while Hermione was behind Harry trying to pull him back. Fourth book: In the movie they only show Ron jealous because Hermione went to the ball with Krum, but they don't show how much he cares for her. For example when Drako insults her, Ron is the one defending her. And when deatheaters were in camp for quiditch world cup levitating people Ron was urging Harry to go, nervously looking at Hermione because she was in more danger from them being muggle-born. Also, they don't show that Hermione is also jealous whenever Fleur (girl that was competing against harry) was around and that she was mad when Fleur kissed Ron. I'm not gonna mention stuff from 5,6,7 cuz of spoilers, but there is alot.

Actually, in the books both harry and ron act like children. And he pissed on Harry because Harry insults him. Don't forget that Ron is constantly in shadows in his home because of his brothers and at Hogwarts, he's the Harry Potter's best friend... not morr. But he's always loyal with Harry and he gives him literally a family. One thing you need to know about Book Dumbledore, is he rarely loses his temper. Hell, he rarely even RAISES HIS VOICE. I can literally count on my fingers the amount of times Dumbledore showed anger, and everytime he did, people literally froze in fear. Movie Dumbledore is way more energetic and aggressive than the book's version of Dumbledore.
the movie doesnt explain it but theres a lot of context of what rons going through to understand why he reacted the way he did in this movie. basically the beginning of the book he's being bullied a lot by draco and his friends on the train about how ron's poor and theres also a scene at the quidditch world cup when ron wants to buy some stuff at the stands but cant afford to and it really gets to him because he had to watch harry and hermione buy what they want. and then when they get to hogwarts and they announce the competition (which has a huge cash prize) ron gets really excited to enter because he wants to win the money for his family, but then they announce the age limit and it makes him sad. then harrys name gets announced for the competition and everyone in the school is mad at him (especially ron) because harry is already the most popular person at school but is also very rich, so everyone at hogwarts thought harry entered to make himself look even better. obviously that makes ron upset because 1. he thinks his best friend lied to him and 2. harry would get even more money, making him richer, and ron would still be poor. ron was only upset at harry for a little time and then realized harry probably didnt mean for this to happen, but harry was also acting very childish to ron so they both were too stubborn to apologize to each other. and with the whole ron and hermione thing, ron was kinda right about viktor because viktor was 18 years old and hermione was only barely 14 which was super creepy. also it was just a normal situation where its two 14 year old kids who have a crush on each other but dont know how to express it so they resort to jealousy and acting dumb. hope you get why he acted that way now! hes just a normal teenager who has a pretty hard life but he always has to push it aside because of everything harry is dealing with voldemort.

In book 4, one of Ron's brothers says that they met a student from there; Uagadou (Uganda) also accepts students from the entire continent; Mahoutokoro (Japan) is located in a vulcanic island and students there use a uniform that changes colors as the years pass; Koldovstoretz (Russia) have a special kind of Quiddich where they fly whole trees instead of brooms and that's the only thing we know about it. And then there are the other 2 that we see in this movie: Durmstrang (north of Europe) is famous for teaching dark magic and not accepting muggleborns; Beauxbatons (France) is famous by their beautiful palace and exuberant gardens and fountains. In general, there are 11 main schools that are part of the International Confederation of Wizards. There are more schools in the world, but they're small and JK said that "she cannot confirm the level of education they have to offer" :p

I'm freaking out that there was a whole Wizard School I didn't know about, but I guess if it came out of Wonderbook of Potions then it's understandable. Yes, rival schools and any other schools I always considered as the antagonist of my and my friend story. Like the whole plot they were just like a side antagonist😂 they were on the level of a full one death eater to me. especially rival school if they come around our school it is war and I’m not joking *war* . It’s like I’m the protag and they were like the evil characters of my life.
when i tell you the book version of the quidditch world cup is UNPARALLELED. there ARE schools in other continents and during the world cup, you get a glimpse of a whole bunch of different wizarding cultures coming together to celebrate the sport. i've honestly reread just that chunk of the book several times over. also your reaction to rpats absolutely launched me 10/10
Mr Diggory crying and screaming over his son's dead body is probably one of the most heartbreaking and gut-wrenching sounds in the whole franchise.😭 It always makes me cry. And it's been like 17/18 years since that movie came out.

There actually are 13 Wizarding schools and some of them are in Asia and Africa, but the three that compete in the tournament are the three biggest Wizarding Schools.

Since the position of Defense the Dark Arts is needing to filled every single year were costantly scraping the bottom of the barrel. They've only had good luck with Lupin. And he did too considering that some have ended up dead or worse at the end of the year.
I wanted to tell you that the reason no one from Hogwarts likes Harry as their champion is that Cedric (Or Edward lol) is a Hufflepuff, and they rarely even get to stand out or achieve things and finally one of them was doing something big and had chances to do well but then Harry the Chosen One and a Griffindor on top of that (they always get opportunities and are usually very talented people) came in "cheating" as far as they're concerned and had to ruin Cedric and Hufflepuff's chance at glory. So they're angry at him

In the books the whole dragon scene doesn't happen at al, Harry was on his broom trying to let the dragon leave her eggs, she only spread her wings and before she even knew what happend, Harry dived to the eggs and got the golden one and took of up again. The dragons where nesting mothers with each about 5 or 6 eggs

Don't worry they weren't in any danger, it was a sleeping spell and they would still have been able to breathe if they didn't make it there in an hour, they just threw that in to make it a bit more difficult. Fleur's little sister would have been fine.

I am a huge Ron and Hermione shipper but I don’t blame you for shipping them in the movies they add several moments of random chemistry that were never in the books and I do agree Rupert Grint and Emma Watson don’t have that much chemistry. Also they make Hermione have almost no negative qualities in the movies and all of Ron’s postive parts are passed on to other people so it’s hard to believe they’d be a couple but just know they’re better on the book as almost everything is

In general, there are 11 main schools that are part of the International Confederation of Wizards. There are more schools in the world, but they're small and JK said that "she cannot confirm the level of education they have to offer" :p
woah, I never knew about Koldovstoretz, I thought that was a joke! I'm freaking out that there was a whole Wizard School I didn't know about, but I guess if it came out of Wonderbook of Potions then it's understandable. I did see you on another Harry Potter reactor with a similar comment, but I guess you didn't know about Koldovstoretz back then. I do wish for them to release info on Koldovstoretz and other Wizarding Schools (an Australian School was teased back in 2016, it's been literal years) and hopefully they flesh out the past schools, since Wizarding World just neglects Ilvermorny.

Yes, rival schools and any other schools I always considered as the antagonist of my and my friend story. Like the whole plot they were just like a side antagonist😂 they were on the level of a full one death eater to me. especially rival school if they come around our school it is war and I’m not joking *war* . when i tell you the book version of the quidditch world cup is UNPARALLELED. there ARE schools in other continents and during the world cup, you get a glimpse of a whole bunch of different wizarding cultures coming together to celebrate the sport. i've honestly reread just that chunk of the book several times over.

Mr Diggory crying and screaming over his son's dead body is probably one of the most heartbreaking and gut-wrenching sounds in the whole franchise.😭 It always makes me cry. And it's been like 17/18 years since that movie came out.

There actually are 13 Wizarding schools and some of them are in Asia and Africa, but the three that compete in the tournament are the three biggest Wizarding Schools.

20:33: They do. There are at least 11 huge magical schools in the world. The Triwizard Tournament is *only* for the three biggest schools in Europe. For example, Beauxbatons houses students from France, Spain, Luxemburg, Netherlands, and Portugal.
20:35 I think they do, these three were just the ones that were chosen for the Tournament - I think three different schools were chosen every time it happened back when it happened more often, the death toll got too high so it was cancelled, that's why when they brought it back it was a 17 and over only competition.

I wanted to tell you that the reason no one from Hogwarts likes Harry as their champion is that Cedric (Or Edward lol) is a Hufflepuff, and they rarely even get to stand out or achieve things and finally one of them was doing something big and had chances to do well but then Harry the Chosen One and a Griffindor on top of that (they always get opportunities and are usually very talented people) came in "cheating" as far as they're concerned and had to ruin Cedric and Hufflepuff's chance at glory. In the books the whole dragon scene doesn't happen at al, Harry was on his broom trying to let the dragon leave her eggs, she only spread her wings and before she even knew what happend, Harry dived to the eggs and got the golden one and took of up again. The dragons where nesting mothers with each about 5 or 6 eggs

And to answer your question as to why everyone was mad at Harry for being in the tournament, a couple reasons but mainly cause Cedric was supposed to represent Hogwarts and they thought Harry purposefully wanted the spotlight once again. There was only supposed to be three champions, not to mention Harry wasn’t even of age to enter.

I am a huge Ron and Hermione shipper but I don’t blame you for shipping them in the movies they add several moments of random chemistry that were never in the books and I do agree Rupert Grint and Emma Watson don’t have that much chemistry. Also they make Hermione have almost no negative qualities in the movies and all of Ron’s postive parts are passed on to other people so it’s hard to believe they’d be a couple but just know they’re better on the book as almost everything is
