Questions? Comments? Feedback? I want to hear from YOU! Post here and I'll answer as best I can. I am also interested in anybody else who has worn this shoe, or the Romaleos 3 XD.
I received my pair today in 9.5. Plenty of toe room side to side and about a thumbs width in front of the big toe no problems there. My problem is with the arch support, it seems misplaced too far back and feels excessively high. Not sure if I should size up since the rest of the shoe fits perfectly. I’m noticing slight heel slip and wonder if a half size up would make it worse. Never had a problem with my arch support or flat foot issues. Any suggestions?
Tim thank you, awesome review and I am grateful you go into excruciating detail! This is what we need if we are spending this much on a shoe, thanks again.
Glad to hear it was helpful. To be honest making these videos is super-repetitive, but when people send comments about how much it helped them, it's very energizing.
I've not used the Metcon Flyknit series of shoes, however IF they are sized like the regular Nike Metcon 4 / Nike Metcon 4 XD I would recommend you consider going 1/2 size up. Having said that, be prepared to try and return - that's really the curse of all these shoes - it's hard to find any retailer that has them all in stock so you can try them on. You just have to order and be ready to return.
Well, I literally got them yesterday - but because I went 1 full size u (Men's 12 instead of my normal Men's 11) the Black/Orange pair of Romaleos 4 will be my go to. These new shoes are just as narrow as the 3 XD! The new shoe is way better looking - but otherwise feels very similar to the Romaleos 3 XD. These are just initial impressions - but is'a s lifter - it's heavy, it doesn't breathe - but it does what it's supposed to do and it does it well.
Yes, I believe they are sized the same. I have the 3 XD in Men's Size 11 - they are too narrow in the toebox for me - I can wear them, but it's no fun. The Romaleos 4 in Men's 11.5 are OK (the white pair in this vid), and the Men's 12 (black/orange) are even better (although a bit long). The Romaleos 4 is a narrow shoe, just like the 3 / 3 XD was - In my opinion. Hope that helps.
from what I see here, the 2 use better material. 4 is like hybird 3 and 2. if you have a wide feet and prefer heavy lifting shoe, 2 will be better for sure, and vice versa
I can't find any published info on this. The Romaleos 3 was a 20 mm heel to toe drop. 3 XD was the same. If I had to guess I'll bet it's still 20mm but don't quote me on that.
Nice review. I just got the romaleos 3 XD because it got cheaper. If you are not going to use the black and white romaleos 4 size 11.5, you can send it my way LOL.
Will these help me get the more out of my weight lifting routine, which basically incorporates the big 3, Bench Press, Deadlift and squat in addition to specific body part splits(Chest,Arms,Abs,Shoulders,Back)? Thanks.
@@rhitamdutta1996 I did try those here: ruclips.net/video/xcOmeMY-su8/видео.html I would be interested to hear your feedback too. Because they are leather, I think they'll break-in nicely, but to be honest I have to test so many shoes, I haven't put mine on much even though I got them months ago.
Metcon 5 - I need a Men's 11.5. I have the Metcon 5 in both Men's 11 and 11.5. The 11 is simply too narrow for me - I can wear it, but it is uncomfortable. For most Nike Running shoes, Reebok Nano 9, UA TriBase Reign, NOBULL etc a Men's 11 works OK for me.
I should also mention I believe I DO NOT have abnormally wide feet. My belief is the Metcon 5 runs narrow, and the Romaleos is even more narrow - because of that very pointy toe area.
Damnit. I bought a half size up and I wish I watched your video! Sold out and won't ever be 90 euros againm so I'll just have to deal with it hopefully it'll break in. Such bullshit that you have to go A FULL SIZE UP to be comfortable what kind if joke is that. I can return it but not exchange it because it's sold out everywhere. Stupid nike, probably would have been better to het Adipowers 2.

Also - when I shot the video I didn't know the Heel To Toe Drop or effective Heel Raise - it is 20 mm , just like the Romaleos 3 and 3 XD.

2:31 ..."can't do anything BUT lift weights in them"...I see this as an absolute win
Just bought these and teas unsure at first but did squats in them today and it’s the first time I don’t have ankle pain. They are great
Nice!
how about your shoe size? Do you follow your running shoes size on your romaloes 4 as well? Is it too narrow or not?

Excellent as always!
Thank you.
I wear romaleos 2 and 3xd in us6.5
Do I have to 0.5 size up for the romaleos 4?
Good info thanks!
Dude, you came faster than virgins on prom night... appreciate you man
How did you get the orange strap? I haven't seen that available before. Thanks from Canada. Kelly :)
Ordered from www.eastbay.com/ Academy has them much cheaper, not sure if they have all 3 styles though. You can also get all 3 from Nike.com (US)
Hi mate! Great feedback! One doubt ... I have a Nike Metcon Flyknit 4 size 10 ... Do I have to buy a Romaleos 4 at the same size or a 11?

My running shoe is a 9.5, what size should I get for these?
I have a question: which are narrowest: Romaleos 4, Romaleos 3 XD, AdiPower2?
Adipower 2. Rom 4 and 3 XD about the same, but wider than Adipower 2.
@@fitatmidlife927 Thank You for your request 👍🏻🙂
I may have missed it, but what do you wear for your other Nikes, 11.5 or 12?
Most Nike shoes I wear Men's Size 11 - so I had to go 1/2 size up on the Romaleos 4 to get a little more width.
@@fitatmidlife927 what if I wear a 13 in nike should I get the 13 or 14 because there isn't 13 and a half?
Which one u prefer? 3xd or 4

Romaleos 2

@@albertotarraga7649 I wish I had a pair of those to compare against, I've heard good things.
Would you say they fit the same as the original Romaleos 3s? I wear an 8.5 with the Romaleos 3s so just wondering what size i should get
Yes, I believe they are sized the same. I have the 3 XD in Men's Size 11 - they are too narrow in the toebox for me - I can wear them, but it's no fun. Can I wear my romaleo 4's without the insoles? Or does the insoles have a big impact on lifts? Please help
Try it and see if it works??? I've never done this. I don't think the insole is going to make a big difference.
@@fitatmidlife927 thanks and my problem is the space vertically, my foot is very narrow but there isn't alot of space vertically, thank you
Im looking at getting one for my self to. I have nike romoleos 2 and fit me just fine. I just wondering if nike romoleos 2 and 4 arw the sale fit?
I don't have a pair of the Rom 2 - so I can't comment. I'm thinking about ordering a pair, but they'll come from overseas, so it'll be awhile.
How would you compare these to the 2’s?
from what I see here, the 2 use better material. 4 is like hybird 3 and 2. if you have a wide feet and prefer heavy lifting shoe, 2 will be better for sure, and vice versa
Unfortunately I don't own the Romaleos 2, and I've never used them - so I can't say.
hello can I ask if you ever had a chance to measure the width of your foot? I'm considering it because I'm size 11 but my feet is on narrow side
My foot is 4 1/8" at the widest. I normally wear a Men's Size 11 (US)
Do you know what the heel size is? Is it a inch or a three quarter inch
I can't find any published info on this. The Romaleos 3 was a 20 mm heel to toe drop. 3 XD was the same. If I had to guess I'll bet it's still 20mm but don't quote me on that.
I confirmed with a Nike Product specialist the heel to toe drop is 20 mm, just like the 3 and 3 XD.
So my foot height is about 27.1 which corresspond to size 43 EU in their chat. So I should use 44?
I'm not familiar with the EU sizing, sorry!
Hello, did you buy them? Did 43 fit you or you went for 44?
Nice review. I just got the romaleos 3 XD because it got cheaper. If you are not going to use the black and white romaleos 4 size 11.5, you can send it my way LOL.

What’s a good weightlifting shoe with a wide toe box
If I ever find one, I'll let you know. So far every one I have tested is relatively narrow.
@@fitatmidlife927 What about Do-Win's weightlifting shoes? Ordered them last week, the reviews are pretty sweet! Will update once I try em out.

How do these compare to the 2s
Unfortunately I don't know as I don't own the 2s and I've never used them.
What is your Metcon sizing?
Metcon 5 - I need a Men's 11.5. I have the Metcon 5 in both Men's 11 and 11.5. The 11 is simply too narrow for me - I can wear it, but it is uncomfortable. For most Nike Running shoes, Reebok Nano 9, UA TriBase Reign, NOBULL etc a Men's 11 works OK for me.

Looks really good
Now that's one sexy ass weightlifting shoe
Hellz yeah it is. I like them, although as with all things I've had some people tell me they are ugly - LOL - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
It is just built for purely lifting HEAVY ASS weights
Damnit. I bought a half size up and I wish I watched your video! Sold out and won't ever be 90 euros againm so I'll just have to deal with it hopefully it'll break in. That big swoosh looks really tacky. XDs looka better.
I wish they just make the TPU wooden
I had a pair of Do-Wins with a wooden heel, they were good shoes.
It costs too much to manufacture unfortunately
I have a couple pairs of the Romaleos 2 and skipped the 3. Whats the advantage of wood?
Nike is has so much money and can’t make shoes with better width options. Ridiculous
Just get yourself some Antas....
I have those on my list to review.
太帅了!
谢谢!
