Hey lee, do you happen to have a ls3 I could buy off a you for cheap I have a 95 Silverado my second project and I need an engine for it and what's better than a 5.7 a ls3 Soo lmk
@chadlustig I'm not talking about those, those I don't mind as much because they can easily be skipped past, I'm talking about the youtube sponsored ads. The ones you have to wait until you can skip them.
Quick tip for you. If you hold the clutch in and put the gas pedal to the floor, the car goes into “clear flood mode”. This cuts the fuel system so you can turn it over without starting. It’s a good thing to use if you’re priming the motor as well. If you have an auto car you can mash the brake pedal and gas at the same time and it will do the same thing. Works on all ford vehicles at least since 2005ish from my experience. 20:54
Dont know about manuals but pretty sure you just have to push the gas pedal all the way woth no brakes. Also i think its for drive by wire vehicles only
@@hank1556 standards won’t crank unless the clutch pedal is all the way down. Ford went to DBW in 05/06 for the most part. It’s been a while since I did it on my 06 f 150 so it probably doesn’t need the brake pedal.
@@hank1556 Unless the manual has a no clutch start override for off-roading then I'd imagine the clutch is pushed with the fuel pedal to get the circuit closed from the clutch start safety
The Hoss 302 lives on. It's a bummer, but you know it's all part of it. Hopefully not a cracked block, and just a rear main seal. Still awesome. Thanks Ray
Just bought a new to me 2012 GT/CS off a good friend of mine two days ago for dirt cheap because the Coyote has a rod knock. Thanks to this video and the first one done on this car, I know roughly what to expect and what upgrades to do while the engine is out. Thanks, Lee!

100% its the rear main seal, bad backfire will cause this. When you lost that intake cap when it blew off was the same time the rear main seal blew out. i will put money on it.
The silver and red boss 302 got hit by a North Myrtle Beach police sergeant he was drunk driving we was there it happened at mustang week 2023 he hit it in a jeep the mustang was in mint condition till that
Lee, love your channel and as a very long time supporter and as a 45 year collision shop owner/retired, I believe it’s time for you to invest in at least a used unibody frame bench and a measuring system which can be picked up used very reasonably. Yes, I can see just how talented you guys are with your forklift but your life and beloved projects. would be so much happier 😊
On a second watch I was thinking it is a good thing you changed over the dash/key/wiring… that way you keep the red key and the track tuning that ford made for the Boss 302. I have a 13 Boss and a friend just bought a used 12. His didn’t come with the red key and we have to do a bunch of things to get a new one. The red key is what makes the Boss a BOSS! Also… not sure if the Laguna Secas shocks and struts survived… but you should use those in the Hoss… the LS did have different suspension than the regular Boss. I regret I should have bought the LS suspension when I had a chance.
Lee said he has to swap over the entire electrical system…..I immediately think oh god, I’m praying for his sanity to stay intact ( hopefully it goes a lot smoother than the demon )
I really enjoy this series because my mom had a boss and apparently loved driving it fast. She unfortunately passed when i was a very young kiddo but she lives on in my heart. Apparently she rolled her's 4 times 😆 I think she enjoyed it. One day man, one day imma get a boss to honor her.

Yeah those boring parts that he skips are more important than what people think, you can’t just throw something together and half ass explain the build then expect people or viewers to fill in the blanks on challenges you had to overcome during the build.
Some gloss black skirts and mirrors would make it look so good, match all the nice black on it 💪🏼 just any of the bland black plastics, i did it to my BA falcon and it's literally nigĥt and day. So SO much better. as another red/black ford owner, i love the build man.
the little yellow connector on the passenger side is for the curtain airbags. It runs down the A pilar only on the passenger's side and connects right under the dash. I know this because I just changed the ac blend door actuator in my f150 and remember the same plug.
This is the first of your long videos I've really watched. I enjoyed it a lot. Sorry to see you've got an oil leak that's going to require some disassembly. Unless there is a block issue, I agree with your preliminary assessment of it being the rear main seal. I hope to see a followup video on it.
I’m a ford mechanic but don’t quote me on this but ford uses the same harness in different trim levels so that plug could be for a higher optioned mustang.
Sounds amazing. Mustangs always do! Not the v6 lol, but across the years the v8s have a great rumble. Borla just turns things up to 11 😎 I used to have a 1996 Ford Bronco with the 5.8L and Borla exhaust. She sounded amazing
I repaired one years ago easiest way to do this. Clip it from rear to front with florist and windshield posts and it came out beautiful rather than go through all that with this trying to repair things for Clips would be the deal. Trust me on that. Good luck with it Barry. 1:13
Pretty cool man, I would love to be able to take 2 or 3 cars and make one but that is a little out of my range to even attempt. Maybe one day. It was really cool to see this and the transformation.
Lee, I understand the thought about getting demoralized when the key turns and you get zero. But, as you showed, there is a top down process to overcome the shock. Looking forward to the solution of the oil leak, and I hope it's only the rear seal.
Tech here, when you have brak fluid on anything, water works soooooo much better than just using brake clean. It's funny to say but I'm telling you it works.
Not a fan of that front splitter at all, I personally like clean simple looks on cars and that wide part on front splitter just ruins it for me. Hope the problem with oil is a light one and u get to sort it out quick and cheap. Loved the video, looking forward to next one. Cheers
Absolutely love this build! Currently lookingfor engine package for my sierra this would be mint. Would love if i could get some more info from you regarding sump etc

Guessing the H pipe tapers down due to the side pipes. Wonder if widening might create too much negative pressure for the side pipes to function properly, or even for the setup in general
Guys guys!! You should've sectioned the cars and put them together.. right behind the shifter to retain all the necessary stuff to use the shifter and also have the proper vin for the boss 302 not to mention the entire wire harness.. would've saved you soon much time and headache... In my opinion anyway
Best content on RUclips hands downs and the way you present it Lee is a major reason. You and Fernando make a great team and the projects you guys put together are amazing.
