I purchased an Ender printer a couple years ago. I never finished building it, so I gave it away, this printer in your video is helping me overcome my hate for filament printers!
You should print one of your models off it. I have the same one. Would like to see how you transformed fdm and make it come alive like resin!
Ha-- i did the same thing with not seeing/removing that last bit of black styro from under where print bed, until it started its checks
I have a K1 Max and it is great. I use it a lot for statue bases. Saves time and resin and especially if the base is rock you can get away with as much filling of layer lines as you need. Once it is painted it is all rock. Only bad experience I had was the door literally exploded first time I touched it but that is a shipping issue. If you custom mount the filament off to the side or above the machine the rear mount issue goes away but I agree the placement on the machine is weird.

Lets hope you are right re batch issues. Oh and BTW you make it look dead easy painting and building, im still trying to get my head around getting a model on the plate, without it being too enormous (only have a Mars 2) LOL

I got the smaller one, Kwan and so far he’s behaved himself. Hopefully you can get yours to knuckle under soon!
I've gone and ordered myself a k1 speedy today. Hopefully, I get beautiful prints like yours as sadly iv gone through 6 fdm printers already that have all failed me within 6 to 7 months and yes ill say it again iv had 6 in the space of that short ass time because Most of them i got have come with z banding, but fingers crossed this beautiful don't have any of that as iv just sent 2 elegoo neptune 4s back a normal 4 and a pro version because they are both not that reliable on my opinion anyway but iv got high hopes for this one 😶🌫️

I've heared a lot of negatives with this printer, especially with the first batches. Did the fix most of the problems, e.g. with extruder, hotend?
Is the Speedy the same as the normal K1, just the fixed version? 🤔

I use the bambulabs x1c. Witht he AMS, it about $1000 more. Would need to see a comparison of each to check quality.
Well if it’s a grand more then i would say it’s probably not a a comparable machine. But also I don’t have a Bambu so I can’t compare either as far as fdm machine to do the odd bits I need around my shop it’s more than adequate for that 😊
@Groundeffected Only reason I ask about a comparison is that it looks like Creality started to take pages from bambulabs about the enclosure and the camera inside the chamber. The way you described it, it feels like a budget friendly version of the x1c with minor issues. Not trying to flex here, I just got tired of printer power supplies burning out and parts going bad after a small amount of uses.
@@beyondoriginality honestly I wish I could tell you more my dude. It does feel like a budget friendly version of them bambu machines. But I don’t know enough to really compare them I wish I did then I could answer you.
@Groundeffected well if you are interested, we can both print the same file with the same settings respectively. I can send you the print and you can let me know what you think? Just an idea... I did print alot of articulating skeleton hands.
Must say a good friend of mine has one of them K1's, he has a good few issues with parts and such, M board replaced twice, feet broken, door broken (when received). when it does work its twice the speed of my Artillery SW. Fortunatly hes a genious with electronics and was able to change out the boards. Food for thought.
There was a first batch released that had some issues and what I was sent was apparently the new batch. I’m not 100% sure as I am a typical male and when I’m being told about a printer or new toy I am already interested in then my mind is like porridge when the rest of the info is explained lol. I was meant to get it a lot longer ago but they delayed and sent me the latest version not sure if those issues were fixed, so far I haven’t had any of those issues only one was the gear in the extruder and I’m sure I broke that being a gorilla hand.

It’s more safer than resin. Depends what materials you print. But an open window would be bough to keep air quality good I’m sure. Also I’m not a doctor or scientist so I don’t know the real answer

When I’m offered stuff to try I always feel guilty and never take the biggest one lol and always kick myself later. I was trying to be polite when they asked me if I wanted to do a video. I’m just stoked to be able to work with the companies I like in the first place.
Just so anyone that does not already have this the camera does not come with the machine. You have to buy separately.

Can get it at microcenter for $350 but i would also get a better base plate that does not need glue and if want can root the device and make it a bit better too.
