I love this video it helped me so so much starting out! Thank you! Brushes aren't cheap and being able to access this info from someone experienced was amazing and saved me! Especially starting out when I'm not yet to the place to splurge. I would love an update too!❤️
Ariel! The size of your (grimish?) Brush that Donna sent you is 5/8th inch! 5/8th is in between 1/2 and 3/4. I'm glad my construction background has already been of help to this new branch of painting for me! And thanks for your channel, thumbs up, subscribe, and bells for this face painting newbie!
Thank you Ariel. That's very informative. The one thing that made me panicky & flustered when I started out was that I had way too many brushes. It took a while to realise I only used a fraction of them. After this tutorial I'll be thinning out even more.
Yeaaa! Thank you again! You are such a great teacher! I will be re-watching this one for the tips. I have most of those from your previous videos lol 😂
Ariel Minervini lmaooo! Thats funny! So I was watching it and my brother in law was here and my husband goes “oh thats Ariel” lolll and Zoey goes we want to move to Iowa to paint with her and Billie lollll
Thanks for taking the time to show us. I always love your videos and they are so helpful. I know you said you don’t have that many Mark Reid signature brushes. I have his #2 and #4 round brushes (along with #6) and I find I like them over my loew cornell. The #4 is really nice. They keep a really fine point. Of course I’m more heavy handed so that might be why I like them more too. Anyway thanks again. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos.
Jessica, can I ask you a question. I've been searching everywhere for reviews of Mark Reid brushes. I've had no luck. Wondering what makes these diff from others eg. Low Cornell, paint pal. Thank you for any info you can share!!
Thanks for sharing with us ,, I have been using acrylic brushes and its becoming so frustrating, Now Im gonna invest in some real face painting brushes, thanks for giving me some direction as to where to start.
By the way I just wanted to say a massive thank you for inspiring me to make RUclips videos what’s to help and inspire like others.. as face painting is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.. and hopefully it will have the same affect on someone else 🤞🏼🤞🏼 So thank you again 😁👍😘🥰
Ariel Minervini oh wow thank you so much 😁👍 i subscribed to your channel with my personal RUclips account About a year ago.. but I’ve done it with this one too now! 🥰 thanks again 😘
I ordered the Lowell Cornwell set with 2, 4.6, 8 sizes. FINALLY an awesome brush line! I don't need nothing else for thin lines, swirls, or teardrops! I'm not investing in any other brand and tossing all of my old wanna be Lowell brushes. The quality is perfect, they keep their shape and the set of 4 was only like $15 bucks on Amazon! Silly farms painted handles aren't attractive at an event when painted handle is all chipped! The only other brushes I finally found is the 3/4 and 1/2 SHORT ANGLED brush from Jest Paint (USA). Those short brushes are the key to controlled professional looking face paint jobs. Everything about my work changed as soon as I got the brushes that I mentioned. Thanks, for loving the Lowell Cornell line. I wouldn't have ever found what needed, until I heard you co-signing about this brand. Your words lead me to loving face painting even more! Thanks again!
I was going through some old brushes to toss. I found one call the " Pointed Filbert" by Princeton Select #6. I gave it a test drive and it makes the most beautiful everything! My teardrops are perfect, it makes petals and awesome thin lines. I have no idea where I got it, but its a keeper! I'm more comfortable with my brushes. Now could you provide a link about your favorite paint selections? I'm struggling with WHITE in several brands. I haven't tried Tag yet, but I love the product in the colored split cake that I just got. @@Arielpaints
The clear handle filberts look like either Tag or Prisma brushes. I absolutely LOVE my filberts, too. Are the Grismas brushes available in the US? I was the one who said that #10 flora is a beast! Lol I've learned to love it though. I use it for my fairy designs on bigger faces. 😊 Dagger brushes are the only brush that I can consistently make decent roses with and I love them for so much more. Thank you so much for sharing your brushes with us! 💖💖💖
I've heard great things about it from a couple of other painters as well but I never see it in any of my sites. I might just have to make an international purchase! lol
Your strange Grimas brush is made of sable hair, they are amazing but they need more water, well the paint need more water. I used those brushes (different shape) for line works for a couple of years. They are more diffucult to work with, but the result is more oragnic, is you know what I mean. I have a few new brushes in my inventory. I can send one to you if you want ! I don't use them all the time for my line work anymore, but you must try it ;) xx
Oh, that's wonderful to know! Thank you so much for telling me. Do you have a store? I'd love to try one but you don't need to send me ANYTHING for free. Please PM me on facebook 😊
Heya, your clear handle brushes..I have 2 too, I got mine along with some tag brushes (with the blue handles) from the face paint shop so maybe they are another line of tag brushes xxxx
Blazing brushes are a good option. Lots of variety. Or, the face painting ship pink tips. Supposedly there is a “like” brand out now to those but I haven’t tried it.
I'm getting my hands on those brushes next month! I know that I will have better control because the hairs are short! Longer hairs make for more wiggle woggle! I'm using what I have, right now, just started and with new paint and a practice head... I'm getting a 1/2, 3/4, and one inch with the short hairs! Thanks for a great channel and I love your work, it's all so very exciting!
Thank you for this video! I still struggle with which brush is for what so this is very helpful. Also, Where did you get that brush holder that you show in the beginning?
I have a couple of Crafters Choice Royal and Langnickel (1" & 3/4") brushes that I bought 7 years ago when I started out that are still two of my go to brushes. Still in good condition. Love them. But I've bought a couple recently and the quality is just not the same so I don't know what has happened.
Loew cornell brushes are hard to come by here in Dublin without the added cost of shipping for them ,I so would love all your brushes there is only 1 face painting shop In Dublin for me for supplies and they are finding it hard to get them also .so i only have 1 number 6
Thank you for your video! pls can you send me the name of the brush for roses? I look in google eith grimas, grimm, nothing shop up :-( I love your brush collection
I'm not affiliated with any of the companies so won't be adding links. You can find a few of the brushes I mention in my amazon store. It's really best to go to your favorite online shop or google the name and number I mention. Thanks!
Sorry, but the links will most likely change over time and I get my brushes from too many sources. If you google the names/numbers I mention you'll be able to find them.
And yes! I would definitely love to see an updated version showing painting examples with all the brushes. That would help out so much!
yes please! More petal brush
I second this please 👍it would be great to see what all the brushes was capable of x
Yes - would love an update on brush use-especially the petal ones that you only talked about in this one - thanks!
I will work on that! Thanks for letting me know.

What is the split cake you used on the first demonstration with the flower petal? I love that combination
I think the clear handle filbert is a mehron brush.
Thanks for sharing about your brushes!!! 💗🖌
I've had a few comments that's it's something different...I honestly have NO clue. Bought it so long ago! 😊
With the dagger brush could you do a hibiscus flower?
The clear handle brushes are ..diamond Fx brushes.. I have them too.. they are fantastic!!
I must have gotten them forever ago! Don't even remember.
Ariel Minervini lol at least you know where they r from now 😂😉
Can seem to get the 3/4" angled brush at face painting shop, any advice?
Gracias por compartir lo que sabes☺️
I love my dagger brush for tiger stripes 🐯
'they are the best!
what is a good replacement for lowe cornells? What do you use now instead of them? I believe they stopped making them

Wow how you draw nicly ❤❤❤vrry nice
Thank you so much 😀
Where did you get your foam brush holder? Thanks for the tutorial!
Inside my kit? It's foam from craft-n-go.
Love it! I do a similar kind of thing!

Hi Ariel! Awesome video! Could you please let me know what kind of water well you have? Thanks!
Yes, that will actually be the next video posted. It's a rinse well. I get lots of questions about that.
Hi I'm loving the video ☺ please can I ask ~ what is the black surface that you are painting onto? X
It’s a Sally Anne lynch practice board.
Yes me 2 please!!! 😁
Saludos desde México y gracias por compartir 😀
Greetings! Thank you for watching.
Thank you for this video! I still struggle with which brush is for what so this is very helpful. Also, Where did you get that brush holder that you show in the beginning?
In my craft n go? It's the foam from craft n go with a foam facing I put over it.
It's weird right? My old acrylic filbert is my favorite of all time. Makes no sense :)
What is your set up for dirty brushes? How do you clean them while facepainting and have many kids waiting.
I use a rinse well. There is a video of it on my channel.
Loew cornell brushes are hard to come by here in Dublin without the added cost of shipping for them ,I so would love all your brushes there is only 1 face painting shop In Dublin for me for supplies and they are finding it hard to get them also .so i only have 1 number 6
That's too bad that they are hard to get. Maybe it will get better.
Can i use face brushes for paimtings
What is your water holder called & how do I get one? Thank you Ariel🥰
I have an entire video on it. If you search my channel you'll see it in the last few videos.
The pink ones weren’t collab with Lowell Cornell it was the gold ones but they are very similar thank you so much for your video ☺️
Thanks, couldn't remember but thought they collaborated on some of their brushes.
Does anyone know what the foam block the brushes are stuck in is called and where you get them? I'm really needing that!
It's just a block of foam with slits in it that craft n go used to sell. I think you could recreate it from foam at a hardware store.
@@Arielpaints Thanks so much! Did it attach with adhesives or magnets? I will try that!
Thank you 🌻✨🌻
Thanks for watching! 💕
Ariel where did you get the foam for the brushes
It was from Craft-n-go.
Where did u get the plastic try ur cakes are in?
I'm not sure which one you are talking about. What video did you see a tray?
Do you wash your brushes after each kid
Not always. I rinse them out with my rinse well but I don't clean them on the job after each kid.
Where do you get the plastic tray that you created one strokes in?
It's a tray from craft n go. Nothing too fancy but it works and I can cut it down so I like it.
Nice tips
Thanks Zoey!!!
Would you have another option to the MS14? It’s sold out 😢
Oh man...that was the one that was sent to me and I don't have a clue what would be comparable to it. So sorry.
You can find loew Cornell brushes on jest paint at a pretty good price
Thanks for letting everyone know Mandy! 💕
Thank you for your video!
pls can you send me the name of the brush for roses?
I look in google eith grimas, grimm, nothing shop up :-(
I love your brush collection
Sure! It's a Grimas MS14. Email Donna at Yorkshire face paint...she's on facebook too. She sells them. I've never seen them anywhere else.
I was referring to the short angles.
Also the face painting shop UK are also sold out of loew cornell 😥
Can you link where you got the brushes from?
I'm not affiliated with any of the companies so won't be adding links. You can find a few of the brushes I mention in my amazon store. It's really best to go to your favorite online shop or google the name and number I mention. Thanks!
The filbert clear handle must be from Aquaflex ;)
Really? everyone keeps saying it's something different 😜
Tell me About your water well!! Where did you get it!? I have way too many brushes too! So TY I also love LC Brushes!!!
I think the video right after this one is all about my rinse well. 😊
Thank you

Where you by all of your brushes???
From the face painting shop mainly
Do you have to take classes to become a professional face painter?
No, you don't have to but they can help a lot.
Could you please link all the brushes?
Sorry, but the links will most likely change over time and I get my brushes from too many sources. If you google the names/numbers I mention you'll be able to find them.

I’m so sad a lot of these brushes are being sold anymore ;(
Oh, yeah...that video is pretty old but there are still great brushes to get. Just check out the online shops.
Hi!
