- An essential part of every single face paint...loading! It's harder than it looks, especially since different brushes call for different techniques. Here are tips for loading brushes for linework, details, teardrops, one stroke, and petals. No matter how pressed you are for time on the job, a good deliberate load is worth every second!
I’m not a face painter. But after binging like a million of your videos I really want to be ✨
And you could also be a therapist because now I’m hearing your voice I’m my head saying “what if.. I could do it?” 🎈
I like this so much I watch it once a month or so. “Back to Basics” just to remind me and let me know I’m doing great. 😊
I find that the longer the bristles are, the more water the brush will hold and so I mostly use mainly shorter, angled brushes to work with...also so helpful was that part on 'LOADING the brush for Pretty FLOWERS' and detailed work...Thank You for your Wisdom & for sharing.
Thanks Samantha, it is so nice to know what helps- so I can become a better teacher!
Excellent demonstration! Very clear and to the point!
This explains everything in so much detail - so helpful!
Excellent video. I totally love your videos. Always so full of great tips and designs. God bless and Thanks for sharing.
Omg this is EXTREMELY helpful!!
Love your tutorials Laura! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Belinda, you are so welcome. I was surprised when making this, just how much I had to say!
Great educational tutorial - thanks so much Laura!!!!
You are welcome!
EXCELLENT VIDEO
Thank you for sharing this video.
thank you for this video, I am a makeup artist but I am getting into face painting for the first time for extra cash this summer. I really needed this !
Thanks for sharing! I do have trouble loading my brushes!💞
Elizabeth. I am so glad it helps!
I do too! I feel like I just can't get the one stroke consistency down. The neons barely show up, too.
@@9168W you are not alone on neons! Think of it as the buddy system. Look for one strokes that have a neon- but not all neon- by putting them next to a regular color they make everything pop- but will still load properly. Neons alone are best applied with sponges.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🥳💜Thanks for your useful and so very helpful videos 🤗You are a Queen 👸🏼
Thanks Samantha- loading a brush is seriously like 50% of what makes painting hard!
Great tips!!! Thank u 👍😉
My pleasure Angie.
Thank you.
Awesome 😍
Great load tutorial! I didn’t know that about the one stroke flats. I’ll give that a go this weekend!
Were you at fabaic this year? Our styles are similar and I love watching you paint! 💕
Awesome! I can't wait to hear how it goes Jolene. I didn't make it to Fabaic, but it looks like it was such a good time.
I have been searching for a brush load tutorial!! Your timing is impeccable. Thank you so much. I'm only about a month in to seriously pursuing face painting and just got split cakes and one strokes. Those are the ones that are hardest for me. I practice my line work on my legs while watching TV 😂🤷♀️
This comment made me smile(TV part)...I am also new to Face Painting World as a Career extra side hobby; One Strokes & Split cakes are cute but I need to be able to have fresh ideas on 'How to use' these and make the most out of them. Some can be quite expensive too!
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb lost the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Abraham Cesar instablaster ;)
@Kamryn Tony i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Kamryn Tony it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my ass :D
Do you clean your brushes in water after each client or after each complete use of that brush and color?
Yo quisiera unimer a tu canal para aprender, ya que soy una persona grande de edad, ya no me dan trabajo y tengo un hermano discapacitado. Se me complica pagar. 😪
Can you share which paints are you using?? Preferably brand name and from where I can buy? As being beginner I don’t know what to do
What paint do you use Hun
What paint do you use?
I load my brushes like Animal from the Muppets is doing a drum solo compared to you 😬 I've always noticed your rounds you use for outlining always look crispy fresh n pointy tipped - now I know why mine look all beat up within a couple of weeks 🙈 .... this has been mighty helpful thank you
Kellie! I am so glad! There is a whole range of approaches. I have worked with painters that I couch, come-on really get in there and load! and others that need the slow down! don't use so much water. Watching yourself to notice what you do and how you can improve is an amazing way to get better! Yay you.
Laura can you share a list of your favorite brushes and where you purchase them. Please! I think I need better brushes. I am new on this.
Hi Iris, I would be happy to share, I like Loew Cornell 7000 series and their gold handled rounds- and I like short bristled flat brushes like protoge, I also like a 1/2 filbert, but brand on that is still looking for a perfect one. Those are my work horses, and any face paint company will sell them! Best of luck finding brushes you love!!!
which brushes do you use? i have used a lot ...i can't find the perfect ones
I don't know if the perfect brush is out there- but I definitely have some I prefer. For rounds I use a #4 7000 loew cornell and protoge 3/4 in flats are my fav.
@@fairyfox Thank you so much!!!
What brand is that awesome round brush #4
It is a loew Cornell 7000 series.
Fairy Fox Design really wow I always wanted to try that series but I always see the other brand of. Lowell what you think about that brush? The reason I ask is because I love the point on it it’s not has round but more of point which I think would be good for mine work and maybe some tear drops would really appreciate your input?
@@Officiallynelsonrivera yes, LOVE this brush. Use it every day. It does have a great point, and it keeps it. It has such a good point that it is a little annoying for drops, it can scrape the center out- do you know what I mean? Anyway- it is the perfect black linework pen. Just bought 10 more.
I feel like I always get too much water for my one strokes and then the paints get sludgy! 😳
Been there! I use a short bristled flat brush, makes a world of difference in keeping my paints safe from over watering.
👍🏽😊
What paint do you use ?
Pls pls am from Africa pls can someone send me some paint. I have been painting with poster color. We don't have cosmetic kinda paint here.
My Double dips are always gloppy or straggly and dry
Balance is the trick isn't it? I will often go over the gloppy petals with a dry brush to pick up some of the extra paint, or wiggle the drier brush to try and coax some extra paint out. Also play with your paint brand, some do better double loads than others.
@@fairyfox I never would've thought about trying different paint! Thanks!
Using paper instead of skin gives a wrong experience.
Even using the brush vertically for paper gives different experience that using it horizontally for face.
