if they sold this in New Zealand, as the base spec (without the rear spoiler) it'd sell really well I think, the higher ride, softer ride, and softroading ability and charging - people would be real into it.
The screens they are putting in cars these days are just getting more and more ridiculous. I hope one day this trend of putting a giant tablet in the center of the dash reverses and car companies start designing nice looking interiors again. This Mustang, the Lincoln navigator, the new Escalade, the Mercedes e450, etc.. they just look so bad. I wouldn't even mind the screens if they were integrated nicely but most of these giant screen interiors just look so lazily designed.
Really, it’s just old folks who complain about them. In the near future, as they age out, it won’t be a big deal. The need for a screen to be integrated is arbitrarily based on what said old folks are used to, not due to some intrinsic benefit.
@@Calibr21 Maybe "integrated" isn't the correct word then. I think the new BMW interiors look nice and those screens aren't really "integrated". I just hate the interiors like of the car in this video where it's literally just a tablet plopped in the center of the dash, it looks ugly.
Problem is the vast majority of buyers (the ones who buy the regular cars) like them. Doesn’t make financial sense to pander to enthusiasts even at the enthusiast level of cars when normal versions of these cars exist. They wouldn’t make a whole different infotainment system for the couple thousand people in the market for cars like this.
Definitely a double-edged sword. On one hand, you get a nice, big screen. On the other, you don't have physical buttons to control climate. To each their own.
I have test driven a Mach-E Premium AWD and an Ioniq 5 SE. Both were great driving EVs. I would give a slight nod to the Hyundai due to the interior. The Mach-E does have a very nice exterior design. I just am not a huge fan of the dash.
The tablet slapped into the cabin, in lieu of physical controls for climate and stereo, honestly kills my desire to own this. I have a FiST, I want a new rally mobile. Something a bit bigger. More power. That touch screen ruins it. I cannot stand the one on the Transit I drive for work.
Hint. Basic price. Durable easy to repair oem parts and decent handling and safety and it wont deteriorate like the cybertruck crap-mobile. Something easy to drive that goes far despite looking like a brick similar to a g wagon but much much cheeper. Instead of 80k. Think low 20k range. Similar to a leaf but 50 times more rugged. Functional. And cheep. If jeep goes all electric they need to team up with mercedes and see what is 'quality' but also 'cheep' and 'durable'

For the cars that have it, it’s definitely not. Some people don’t like it, most do, including me to some degree.
Well I heard that the railroad company Union Pacific has gotten not only the Mach E Mustang, but the F-150 Lightning
I want submarine gauges and knobs to select everything.
What a cool ev! This to me is far more interesting than most others. I’m curious about your take on the Hyundai ioniq 5 N tho.

Do you plan to test drive and review the Honda CR-Z? Since it's Honda and you own a S2K I wonder what your impressions and comparison might be.
god that screen is massive for no reason . it should end before the vents

Nope .. is what Ford’s designers said when asked about their efforts as it pertains to styling.
I'm amused it has those lazy, slow '70s turn signals. Just like granddad's '73 LTD!
