- I've been designing and planning on these carts for over a year now. I built these carts around the Lincoln Square Wave Tig 200 and my Dad's old Miller Thunderbolt I recently restored ( • Miller Thunderbolt Res... ). I purchased the Power Mig 210MP and Tomahawk 625 just after I finished the carts.
The swival caster on the from are from The Home Depot.

The rear wheels are from scaffolding casters. My neighbor turned the axels for me so I could weld them to the frame. Here's a similar product:

A very interesting construction, and two beautiful carts. Something to be proud of and a testament to your quality of work. Les in UK
I looked through all your comments but didnt see anyone interested in how you were able to lay out the pie-sliced platform for the tank. There has to be a formal technique for laying this out so it fits perfectly like it did. Specific angles and lengths for the pieces to fit and not waste materials. Incredible work....
Absolutely beautiful work and a wonderful design! Thanks for posting and sharing.
Great design. I especially like the slot cut in the tubing for the shelves to fit in. Very clean looking.
Looking forward to many more of your video posts. I'm learning the craft and was inspired by your skill level and the quality of your videos. Please continue sharing and teaching.
Wow Steve thank you for your kind words. It's hard to find time for my hopeful "RUclips hobby" but I do have dozens of ideas for videos.
Thanks for your support Steve.
Hı man, you are so talented and ı like your video. I am an english teacher and also I lıke welding, ı hope ona day ı have a workplace as you.
Well you are very generous with your comments. Thank you sir. I'm glad you and others enjoy the content.
Great job, I am less than a rank amateur, however I am learning watching videos like this one. Thanks for posting it.
Yup. I've been been there. I had my everlast welders sitting on the floor and hauled onto a moving dollies to get them around. One of the best days of my life was getting them onto proper welding carts. Yours turned out great.
Beautiful. Your design sets a new standard for my ambitions. Thank you.
Very nice job all around.
One of the best carts i have watched been made
Wow, I envy the size of your shop! great quality welding trolley as well
Beautiful workmanship and design.
Fantastic work and great looking shop!
Great build to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Superb craftsmanship and design! Nice clean shop 👍
Wow....awesome. Just bought a lincoln mig welder a week ago. Have been practicing since then. Have spent my career in construction, so am definitely a hands on kind of person, but no welding experience at all. Thanks for sharing, and gives me something to strive for.
Thank you for your kind words. Best of luck to you in your welding future!

Nice work .... I really like the cart design!
Nice project, carts look great.
Great job on the carts, I have recently purchased the Lincoln Square Wave TIG 200 and love it. I now have some inspiration to build a cart for it too. Keep up the good videos would love to see more!!
Yeah I think for what I do the Square Wave TIG 200 is a great machine. I wish I could adjust the post flow, however.
Just wow that's an awesome project
That is a stunning cart. Great work. Never thought of taking the trouble to make a beautiful cart. May have to rebuild mine now.
Wow, thank you!
They work great a year later. Potentially one modification would be to make it so the cylinders can be removed without having to lift them up so high... I've got some ideas for that.
Very nice work man!
Classy design, good stuff!
Nice carts!! Keep it coming!!
Sweet job, clean look.
Great Design! Very nice work!
Michael, thanks for the kind words. I've got dozens of ideas for future builds. Thanks for your support.
I like those HF furniture dollies bought 6 about 5 years ago.
They're pretty good. The wheels don't roll great under heavy loads.
Awesome build!!! Now time to apply that to those tig rods!
ruclips.net/video/m3LHESgHEWE/видео.html
Tidy and excellent job thank you
WFK!!... The garage is amazing. Thanks.
Nice work! I am now inspired to build some carts!
Did you ever build your carts?
Nice work!
Excellent work and details, good tools. I suscribe...👍👍🎖🎖🎖
I like it. it’s very nice.
It is amazing how easy you lift the gas balloons. +
Thank you. They're not very heavy.
Nicely done, appreciate the video. I'm fixing to get the same TIG 200 and probably make a cart or two for the welders and plasma I plan to get. The ol' Lincoln 140 MIG works for me now but TIG is so fun and relaxing (learned 15 years ago at trade school). Here's a subscribe.
Oh yeah TIG is my favorite.
Dude, you got a nice shop.
Nice work!!!!!!
Wow that’s something to be extremely proud of.
Thank you!
Parabéns, são os melhores carrinhos para soldadoras que já vi! Perfeitos!
Muito Obrigato Eduardo.
The thing that won me for subscribing is that you bolted the wheels :D It's cool when you know how to weld nicely like you but it doesn't mean it's always the right solution. Nice work btw!
You mean the front casters?
@@TheConcreteBox Yes, didn't know the term.
great work >> thanks man
Way awesome!
Wonderful work Dude......................OFF THE HOOK !!!
haha Awesome. Thanks man.
Great! Perfect job!!!
Good job!
👍🏻 bellissimo lavoro, disegno e realizzazione , saluto dalla bella 🇮🇹
Grazie mille. È un piacere fare e compartire questi progetti.
Da dove sei?
Good job 🔥🔥🔥
felicitaciones maestro le quedaron hermosos
Muchas gracias señor Campriano. Casi un año después y todavía están muy bonitos y útiles. Lo único gasho es que es una lata levantar el cilindro hasta arriba para meterlo.
Nice work brother! The only thing I would change is making the upper bracket for the bottles hinge open so you don’t have to lift them so high.
3:26 Hey man, those things go with a swearword!
But great work! Good design too.
Perfeito, ficou top 👏👏👏👏 parabéns!!!
Awesome build(s). I would have designed it so you don't have to lift the cylinder, but still the nicest build I've seen
muy buen trabajo.. saludos daniel
Gracias Daniel. Lo aprecio mucho.
Nice work
Thanks Sam
Very nice carts! Now show us that organization rack in the background.
Here you go :) ruclips.net/video/fsFUzFPharY/видео.html
fantastic
Nice job. How did you slit the tubing for the shelves?
Those are beautiful.
But you gotta lift the gas bottles quite if when youre changing them? Do you have a special technique?
Nice work man cool design but can I ask how far apart your platforms are from each other?
Very Nice
Beauty!! Dammm
Awesome! Cooooool👍👍👍
Very nice carts, both in design and execution. Maybe add some rod storage tubes to them?
I Got that covered: ruclips.net/video/m3LHESgHEWE/видео.html
Thanks for watching
Nice job, somewhat advanced for me, just a beginner. I would like to aquire that skill with a tig but Ill stick with the mig for now. Do you have any video done with flux core?
I'm not skilled with Flux core. You should check out Welding Tips and Tricks RUclips Channel.
Awesome work. I always wonder where the thumbs down come from then I read some of the stupid comments about it being a poor design. Do people not realize all these videos are of home shops, this isn't Lincoln putting out a weld cart if so there would be a team of engineers and an r&d phase and by all means rip into them about the tank design. If the cylinder support is the only flaw than good on you!!
Thank you for your kind words. Yeah I figure there will always be some trollers, and I'm ok with that.
I don't make the videos for others' approval.
How do you not fry (sunburn) your arms in those short sleeves?
I have almost the exact same workbench as your one in the background
Awesome! Do you have pictures of it posted anywhere?
Ya I just have to figure out how to post them
Helluva job mate
Haha awesome comment. Thanks bro.
I was drooling over those Lincoln welders lol
Haha careful you'll ruin your phone if you drool too much 🤤.
Show us newbie's how to tig weld sometime in your videos.
Like step by step instructions on how to tig weld?
I love the design. What is the thickness of the rectangular and square tubing you used? Hopefully, you'll have more videos coming out soon.
Hi Ronald, the square tubing wall thickness is 1/8". Same for the sheet metal...1/8"
Geez...this is not backyard bob work....super nice man. How did you make the cuts in the tubing for the sheet metal. Forget it, this is waaaay advanced design and technique...very precise work...makes my eyes water!
Hi John. I used an angle grinder. I showed the technique herein another vídeo. Skip to the 2 minute mark... ruclips.net/video/x4Mx0x9pOVg/видео.html
What brand of casters are they and and where did you get them? Can you share the link please...very nice work
The swival caster on the from are from The Home Depot.

dobrá práce! top :o)
what gauge tubing did you use if you don’t mind me asking. thanks a lot for the videos i’ve learned a lot
.120"
A very nice looking welder cart.
I just see one technical design flaw.
I would have made the back open with hinges and a deadbolt, so you don't have to lift the bottle that far (better for the back in the long run and with age you'll wish you made that little bit different).
Wouldn't hurt the looks too much and the bottle still is secured.
In fact: You should be able to modify the finished cart in that way, still.
How did both carts hold up these past two years anyway?
Man I realy love your design, yeah that top piece is kinda bad but I realy like it , for sure I will build me one similar. I like the clean functional but beautiful drawing. Also good vibe workshop. Best of luck in this youtube hobby, hoppefuly Youre channel will Be succesfull !
Thank you for your encouraging comments! What top piece do you mean is bad? Haha
хорошая работа!
Wow.... Great.... 🇦🇷
Nice work.... my suscription.
Falta pintura. Excelente trabajo
Muchas gracias. Lo que pasa es que aquí donde vivo hay muy poquita humedad entonces el fiero no se oxide solo.
What was the grade of materials used on the trolleys
It hot rolled square tubing but it's pretty clean. I does not have too much mill scale on them.
Nice job, I love your welding skills, I aim to be at least half as good. I am a little surprised at the design of the cart where the bottles are held, when I make my cart/s, I do not intend on lifting the bottle and lowering them into the cart, rather lifting them about the 4 inches onto the bottom of the cart, and securing them with a bungee cord or chain. I love your skills though and great design
Great Job How many amps is your tig welder? And what model? Also are the other 2 Lincoln’s a plasma and mig?
Thank you

That's a great job, looking to do something similar for a welder and plasma cutter but have serious concerns with the electronic boards and dust on the lower units as far as working life is concerned with the onboard fans sucking more crap through them, what are your thoughts, you've got a bit of money invested there, cheers?
I try to keep a clean shop with minimal dust. Having said that, I always ALWAYS cover up the welders with plastic bags when they're not in use. Only good can come from it to save the internals, the paint job, even the knobs and switches from being handled too much by my kids.
You're right, these two carts and their contents represent a pretty dense portion of the financial investment in the shop. Gotta treat 'em right.
I wouldn't use plastic because of possible moisture, condensation and the like, better I think to use cotton, linen or anything fabric so they can breath, Lincoln make a really good canvas one that I have on my mig and really protects them, might seem a little over the top but does help to protect and preserve them, cheers from AUS
Check out ZT Fab for your welding rod holders! Nice Carts going to build one soon!
that carts that you build is perfect . what materials do you use?
ελενη χαραλαμπους, all materials are cold rolled steel. Filler metal is 309L stainless. Thanks for your kind words.
The Concrete Box really nice carts! I really like the design. I use 309 all of the time. I like it better than mild steel rod. Did you leave them bare metal? Wouldn’t they rust? Would of been nice to build them from ss but expensive.
Yeah 309 flows nicely and make a nice color. Yes I leave most of my stuff unpainted. Actually here in the U.S. South West it's pretty dry and metal does not seem to form surface rust if kept inside.
Thanks for your complements and questions.

Like your idea and cart. What consumables are you using?
Tig Cup size
Gas lense or not
Tungsten Blue, Purple, etc
Material type ... 1/8" Stainless
Filler rod 309L
Lincoln settings, amps, etc
Tig Cup Size
I usually use either #6,7, or 8. Ocationally I’ll use a number 12 for better argon coverage. If something is thin and will be painted I’ll use the #6 cup because I can get away with using like 8 CFH of argon. My go-to cups are #7-8.
weldmongerstore.com/collections/all-products-1/products/2-pack-alumina-cups-assorted-sizes
weldmongerstore.com/collections/all-products-1/products/furick-12-ceramic-tig-cup-kit-br-for-9-20-torches
Gas Lens or Not
I only use gas lenses. I have 17 and 26 style torches so I get the stubby gas lens kits.
weldmongerstore.com/collections/all-products-1/products/tig-welding-accessories-ck-stubby-gas-lens-kit
Tungsten
I only use the Blue tungsten (2% Lanthinated). Jody says they’re the best for all around welding. I have only used 3/32” diameter tungsten but I have some 1/16” and 1/8” on hand in case I need them. Usually you can sharpen a 3/32” electrode to mimic a 1/16” electrode.
weldmongerstore.com/collections/all-products-1/products/ck-worldwide-2-lanthanated-electrodes-3-32-pack-of-10
Material Type
Usually I’m welding on 1/8” mild steel, either hot or cold rolled. It really just depends on the project. I have not welded much stainless.
Filler Rod
For anything critical or anything that will get painted I use ER70S-6. If I want the weld bead to look nice I’ll use 309L but it’s sort of a NO-NO.
Welder Settings
For mild steel figure 1 amp for every thousandth of an inch, up to about 160 amps. So for 1/16” use 65 amps. For 1/8” 125 amps.
If you’re using pulse then bump up that about 20%.
If you’re welding stainless drop that by 10%
If your welding aluminum increase it by 10%.
What saw and blade are you using to cut your metal? Seems to cut very nice straight lines
Ok the blade is made by Diablo. They are great because yes they cut clean, but they are very loud, fling hot metal shavings far and near, and the blades are quite expensive considering that they do not last very long. I have 5 or six of them that are not sharp any more so I'm hanging onto them to see if I can make a jig to sharpen the teeth. The saw is one of those cheap 7-1/4" saws from Lowes for light duty carpentry. They have an RPM range that's compatible with the blades....If you spin the blades too fast they cutting edge is toast!!
Here's the link to the blade but unless the jig works then you won't see it again on the channel. I've already purchased a band saw....should have gone the band saw route long ago.
www.homedepot.com/p/Diablo-7-1-4-in-x-48-Teeth-Steel-Demon-Ferrous-Metal-Cutting-Saw-Blade-D0748F/100098833
The Concrete Box , awesome thanks for the info and the link!
very clean carts. yah you'll get tired of lifting tanks, but unless your changing twice a week, it won't matter. most pro-am welders aren't going through gas that quick when this is a hobby. like the idea change you speak of to hinge instead just the same. great looking shop too, clean and no clutter. are you a drywaller by trade? just looking at the scaffold planks in the background and assume
Usually I use 10 cfh so yeah I don't use much gas. I exchanged the cylinder yesterday... It was easy.
This is a great video. Your carts are nice and compact as well. Do you have any plans for them? Have a great day. Looking forward to other videos.
I have the CAD drawings. I could easily print them to PDF but I need someplace to upload them so people can download them. Funny, I get more requests than I thought for the cart plans.
Nice looking carts to be sure. I think my everlast welders would look pretty sharp if they were on carts like those.
👍
super. like from Russia
Like your carts, have any plans for them. I’d like to make. Set also. Thanks
I have the CAD drawings. I could easily print them to PDF but I need someplace to upload them so people can download them. Funny, I get more requests than I thought for the cart plans.
Yes please I would like to get a copy of the plans please.
The Concrete Box , I’d like to have some plans as well..
Pq suspender o cilindro .mas mesmo assim ficou bom
Serh gut
Nice job! (I wanted you to grind the welds flat before bolting the castors on, to avoid twisting the castor-races. Just sayin' :-))
I think you are right. Thanks for pointing that out. 👍
Awesome Design. Is there anyway I can get a copy of your plans for the welding cart or maybe purchase them from you?
Do you still need the dimensions?
@@TheConcreteBox yes please
Ok maybe I'll post about short video with the dimensions.
Круто,надо себе такое сделать,только загрузку балона более простую сделать
So why do you use Miller gloves and Lincoln Electric equipment?
It's funny, I sort of consider myself someone who's loyal to a specific brand, but not to a fault. The miller gloves are a GREAT fit, and while the lincoln gloves are very comfortable, they're very loose around the thumb. I've thought of getting Lincoln gloves and fixing that feature that I don't like. If you see me with lincoln gloves in the future it could be possible that that's what I would have done.
Just use ESAB filler rods for balance.
hawkdaddy64 because Lincoln gloves suck plain and simple Miller Hands down makes some of the best fitting and feeling gloves plus the seems don’t give out within a week like most gloves
I'm interested in trying to actually weld with the Lincoln gloves (I've only tried them in the store). Jody uses them sometimes so I thought that can't be the worst thing ever. I've seen guys use the Tillman gloves (is that the right name).
Thanks guys.
