- Building a Ultimate Mig Tig Welding Cart by ZT Fabrication. I build a ZT Fabrication Welding DIY Cart. This is a great project for the DIY weekend. Fit and finish of the parts are fantastic. You can Mig weld or Tig weld the entire cart. Very good instructions which are on line for you to download or print out.

This is a very well made cart and design by ZT Fab and a fun build.
I built my cart to hold a Mig welder - Millermatic 211 and a Tig welder - Lincoln Tig 200 welders.

Thanks Paul for hooking up Randy so we could see this awesome build. You sure do make some nice kits.
Thanks Brian. These are very nice kits.
No wonder its so expensive, half the money goes to packing material :) lol! Looks like a fun project. TIG welding is so awesome! Thanks for the video. Have a great day.
Yep lots of packing. Very nice cart, parts fit together perfect. Thanks Mark.
Is that a Bill Dance signature on that Tennessee hat?!?! DAGUMMIT!!!!!
That surly is. Thanks Brian.
Great upload! Thanks for showing your welds in "real time" instead of fast forward...helpful to us beginners
Thanks Trackdog90.
You make everything look easy Randy the cart came out great. You're lucky every package that I get lately looks like it got ran over by a freight train.
Thanks Jim. It was a pretty easy build.
Looks really good like a Randy Richard product should. I like the white T shirt you had on for a while there. You have good taste. 😁👍 Thanks for an excellent video.
Thanks Harold. KOKO.
Saw that Tennessee hat and thought I had mistakenly got a Bill Dance video! LOL The cart came out looking fantastic.
That is an official Bill Dance hat. Thanks for noticing Bob.
Those carts are real nice. They sure beat the Lincoln carts that are down to low.
This is a very nice cart and easy to build. Thanks Ken.
Good choice on using the Mig. Tig is very nice but takes a lot longer. Nice looking cart! Very compact.
Well worth it very nice kit. With just mig welding about a 3-4 hr build.
Thanks for the video Randy. The pink is a nice touch.
Thank you Colin, really popped.
Awesome CART..
WATCHING IN ALABAMA

Thanks John, Came out great and works great.
Whatever you do,don’t let Bruce Whitham anywhere near that cart.
Nice job. Hope you get a break from the fires.
Thanks,
John
That is for sure. looking ok for now.
Good morning Randy! Great project, like that little color touch. Makes the name stand out.
Morning Craig, I am havn'in coffee. Thanks, I like the color.
Always fun to herniate the delivery man.
For sure John. Thank you.
Good looking cart. I'll have to get one when I decide to upgrade my tig welder and add a water cooler.
Thanks Tom. Very nice cart well worth the $.
That thing is flipping burgers AWESOME. WOW.
Thanks Greg. Came out great.
Nice looking cart, and a good selection of welders too.
Thanks RC. Very nice setup.
Very nice Randy, beautiful cart and a great addition to the shop!
Thanks Ray, came out great.
Very nice looking cart, Randy.
Cheers, Gary
Thanks Gary. I like the cart.
Nice job on the cart. Ztfab makes nice products. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Yves.
I would've done a single mod to this, and i think ZT Fab, should consider it. One of the two "legs" of the welder seat, should be adjustable. So, a length of material should be added and welded to help keep the structure kosher, and then to the chosen free floating leg, a clamp, nutsert(s) and knob should be added. That way, you can possibly have multiple welders depending on your needs.
Both of my welders were withing 1/4" so it was not a problem. An adjust feature would be nice. Thanks aserta.
great Job Randy , Cart came out SWEET ! ENJOYED
Thanks Shawn. I am very happy with it.
koollll cart there Randy, they have some fairly reasonable prices on their stuff in the website. nice to see something made in the USA on the market and even made in california where they have been doing their level best to run business out of the state. i'd add some lift eyes so you can hoist the thing into the bed of a pickup with the bucket of the tractor in case you had go mobile with the setup
cheers
mike
Thanks Mike. It is very tough to have a business here.
Looking good good Randy. I like the color and most of all the sticker.
Thank you AZ. I like it to.
That's a nice cart
Thank you Larry.
Very nice build! Looks great!
Thanks Sandrammer.
Great looking cart, Randy. I like the color combination.
Thanks Ryan. Came out great.
Looks great👍👍👍👍
Thanks Gib.
New cart looks great. Thanks for the carbide/brass scribe that arrived the other day. You can buy 125 cf cylinders on Amazon full of Argon delivered to your door.
Thank you Kirk. I will check that out.
@@RRINTHESHOP No problem. I have bought a 125 Cf of Argon from Amazon and it arrived the next day. Hard to believe but it was a legit transaction. Argon seems just fine. Was 1/2 the price of my LWS. That's on Cape Cod near the Air Base.
@@radishfever I was checking pricing and yes they have the best deal. I will order up in a week or so.
Looks great just ordered the kit for the tool box ! But ill order this one after I finish ! Thks for the video sells it self!!
Love this cart, works great. Thank you Peter.
@@RRINTHESHOP no worries mate
great product and great build
Yes it is very nice. Thanks chuck.
Awesome job
Thank you James.
Nice cart, I'm sure it will get a lot of use. One thing I would like to see added would be a locking wheel. My cart does not have a locking wheel and it forever rolling down an incline. The critter ought to stay put on any surface! Keep the vids coming.
Thanks James, love the cart. Locking wheel should not be to hard to find .
How about two short pieces of chain for around the wheels?
@@royreynolds108 That works great.
Looks good , Cheers .
Thanks Max.
Good looking cart Randy. I have some ZTFab products and they are nicely designed and high quality.
Thank you Old Iron Lover. The fit and finish of the parts is fantastic, the quality and makes a very nice product.
That looks awesome Randy -jim
Thanks Jim. Came out well.
Nice project! Nice hat as well!!
Thanks Ben for the Hat.
Hi Randy just came from watching mr.pete making some really small anvils that was neat to watch now what you sharing with us?
Lance & Patrick.
Thanks Lance and Patrick. I am off to watch Mr. Pete now.
Good job, RR 👍 This is no veggi channel so I‘m for sure no „fat brick hater“, too 🤗
Thank you Hardy. That's right no veggi here.
Very nice looking cart. the cost is way to high for all the work the buyer has to put into it.
They are a bit pricy. Thanks Doug.
I was wondering if Ray Caniglia might lend you his ZT Fab welding cart? On second thought, it's a little noisy now, maybe the neighbors would complain. :)
His is no longer a welding cart. It is a fun cart. Not my neighbors, no complaints here. Thanks Wes.
“A house-er, I mean-CART divided! I was wondering which color you’d go with, or if you’d try to work in both blue and red. Nice work!
The pink really popped but red would would great, I will have to come up with some red. It was a tough decision, since I like both colors. Thanks Tom.
Wow very nice job randy, loving the colour. Did you powder coat it.
Thanks Mark, Just Rustoleum paint.
@@RRINTHESHOP great paint job randy
Hey Randy remember that TIG welder they gaveaway in 2017 at Bar Z. I have that and the same cart minus the accessory bars.
Should have powder coated yours Lincoln red
I had to flip a coin on the color Bill. Thanks Bill.
@@RRINTHESHOP I meant to say I won that welder and stand from the Bash :-)
@@wnebergall Yep I know I was there. Congrats, I never win anything.
Randy I noticed you had a Tenn hat on, What part of Tenn r u from? I live in the Johnson City area... Nice weld job...Nice video...
Thanks Gary. I am not for Tenn. From CA. Lots of viewers in Tenn.
What is the width across the front at the base?
Max width 23 in at the rear wheels.
Nice cart. Did you manage to get it together in one day?
You must hate it when editing the shots to find the footage all out of focus. From my perspective, I'd probably cut it and skip it. I find it hard to watch and usually fast forward through those spots. I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same way or if people would rather have those shots even if out of focus. I'm sure it's a tough decision for you and I appreciate your videos regardless.
Yeah it is tough to decide, can't go back and re-shoot. Most want to see everything going on. Thanks Barry. One day no, not with shooting video, and painting. about 4 days but not all day of those days.
You need an Alabama hat! Roll Tide
Thanks Corey. I have a lot of Tenn. hats.
You did a great job on that cart. Are you a fabricator ?
No NOT a fabricator. Thanks John.
Needs air horns and can crusher 😁
Ok I will get right on it. Your a big help Yuchol, adding to my work load. Any body can just add things to their carts.
That's funny.
The manufacturer didn't include the assembly instructions? If not, IMO that's completely unacceptable.
There were instructions.
Randy , You could have saved a bunch of money and just re purposed that old cement mixer
Just a little Canadian thought LOL
Yeah but I am not done with the mixer and it is not blue and it will not fit in the shop. Thanks Joe for the great suggestion, only for Canadia.
@@RRINTHESHOP Ya we just build a bigger igloo
I'd love to say I watch to learn, but in honesty for me it's fantasy fab or machining porn. The only tools we seem to have in common is a screwdriver and a hot glue gun. My main vice requires a meter and a soldering Iron and the majority of my projects would easily fit on the head of a bolt ... Still, I can't resist the thought of a Tig or a Mig and I can only dream of owning a lathe.
You are trapped in the wrong body Andy. Find a friend and borrow. Thank you Andy for watching the entertainment.
Very nice kits but they do cost $500! I can get a cheap but functional cart for $70 locally already assembled....actually designing one yourself would be just as fun and way cheaper!
Thanks bmlennox.
I thought they were fairly expensive too until I built mine. They don't make one that fits a mig, tig and water cooler, so I designed and built my own. It ended up costing close to $700 CDN. I had one of those $70 carts. They are good to get you going right when you get your first welder, but they are flimsy as heck.
If you have access to an inexpensive supply of steel and can cut and fit all your own parts then you can build your own cart for less money. I figured the ZT fab cart would have cost me over $1000 CDN to get shipped to Canada, so my cart was still significantly cheaper. If you just bought a welder and don't have the capability of cutting fitting, bending and fabricating your own stuff, then this cart looks like an excellent option for people who want a high quality cart. Open the box and start assembling.
@@barrygerbracht5077 Yep, the fit is perfect, no adjustments, hold together and weld. I could mig weld the entire cart in one day probably about 3-4 hrs. And paint.
