- Check out ztfabs work here www.ztfab.com/ Introducing Ztfab welding carts... ready to weld cart kits that are designed by a real welder.
My friend Paul Brinegar of Zero Tolerance Fabrication is better known on welding forums as ztfab.
Paul does a lot of welding and fabrication for the motorsports industry as well as other customers and now he has designed his own line of welding carts.
Ztfab welding carts are cnc plasma cut and dimple die punched and come with heavy duty casters, cast iron solid rubber wheels with grease fittings, and are designed to hold 2 cylinders. Хобби
My teenage grandson wanted to learn to weld, but wouldn't go to a welding school. I sent him to your RUclips channel, told him he could learn from the best. I wish I had a resource like your channel when I was learning.
Awesome job, Jody! Glad you like the cart.
I seen your MIG like TIG welds. Good stuff man, keep it up!
dude could u make a video showing your mig like tig technique ? im dying to learn but i just cant find the right motion and settings at work :(
I have this cart, and it's bad ass. I was surprised how easy it goes together and how strong it is. $400 is nothing for a good quality product. This cart will last a lifetime, unlike Harbor freight that will last you till the next time you move. Plus I had a lot of fun putting it together. ZTFab also has a drawer kit and it has rod holders too. The duel bottle design is a must for the Lincoln 210mp if you want to TIG with it.
I just ordered mine! I love that it will hold both of my machines. I am SO sick of my flimsy sheet metal cart and I've spent too much time reinforcing it to get it to work.
Good to see such high quality stuff is still being produced - and well put together of course!
I agree with you. A few guys are complaining about $400.00 being to high a price. Just go out and price only the 4 wheels of the quality used in this cart. Then the gauge of steel and the extra well placed dimpling, well thought out over all beautiful design and handy features.
If you can lay down sweet looking beads, hit it with some steel wool and a couple of coats of satin finish clear coats. My God, just having that placed correctly in you shop would catch the eye of any potential customers stopping in for a job estimate and speak volumes about you work abilities.
Way to go guys! Great job on the product ZT and great job on the build Jody! looks like a stellar product 100%
I just "graduated" from a farmer buzz box and 110v MIG to a Forney 220MP. MIG needs 75/25 gas, the TIG requires 100% Argon. I wish I bought a cart knowing that in advance, I would have bought one that holds two tanks. As it is, for now, I'll be swapping tanks between processes.
Seen a lot of Ztfabs work on various forums his welding is on another level those carts look great i would love one but getting one to the uk would be stupid expensive on top of the price of the cart, nicely put together & good video as always
Nice job Jody, looks good. Those carts are solid, I saw the one at the Bar-Z bash.
Certainly a super design - great to see the Maestro at work. :)
Jody, you put the bottle holder sides on inside-out. Real nice cart, though.
And here I though my junk-bed-frame angle cart was cool.
He donated one to the Bar Z Bash, they are very nice units.
you sir are a master i would love to be able to weld like that. great job and i love the cart
Another good one. Although I lean toward the one you made yourself. Thanks for showing this. Doug
gorgeous as always man, love your vids!
Nice finish and makes a great first or 2nd project
I guess my little brother is gonna get my old welding cart for Christmas....
Looks great Jody!
Great videos.Big fan, it really helped me to become a much better welder.Like you say, litle tips and tricks that make a HUGE diference on the finished job.Thanks.
I learn something new everytime I watch Jody's videos. I try to try things out with my everlast welder as soon as I finish watching. I sometimes learn something new even when I watch one of his videos for a second time!
very nice cart,, thanks for the video .....
that is a realy nice welding cart
very nice work
This would look awesome steel wooled and clear coated
Definitely. That is the way I would go. Do they have carts that will fit Everlast welders?
real artistry
Great video
Wire brush the whole thing and black oxide it. Pretty sure the brazing will shed the color and show up as goldish highlights.
it needs a 3inch offset loop handle in the front so you can center hand it
Never thought of tacking length ways to allow for sideways movement. Will have to put that into my long term memory! Opps -- what was I going to put where?
Thanks, again for the great videos!
Thank you for making this! Lucky to stumble upon this by accident, because I have both a SW200 and this cart on the way this week. I am not an experienced welder though, so I am a bit nervous about building this cart as one of my first projects. This video is really helpful though. I just need a nice solid cart to get to work with but don;t want to screw this up. What do you think would be the easiest filler for me to use just to get it done as a newbie, or no filler? @weldingtipsandtricks
Love your vids can you do a vid on stainless steel flux core or stainless spray
I love silicone bronze . I weld everything with it unless people specify what they want. but I haven't had anyone come back
nice cart!!!
Slick design... Did you ever do the giveaway? I watch all your vids and don't recall seeing the announcement.
You should do a video on how to purge on stainless and carbon steel and what you will need yo do it with!!!! And why you purge!!
Jody, i think you missed a trick not talking about how things are sometimes welded (for strength) and then have a bead of bronze laid over that for aesthetics.
Best good work
"That pedal aint no different than drivin' in the snow". Long time ago
Buff it up and clear coat,it will look ace's.
My preference !
@weldingtipsandtricks when are you going to anounse the winner for the welder
where can i get that nice "broad" combination square?
Clear Coat ! Show off the Welds.
Nice!
Thank you . Now is that going to be your next giveaway 🙃
Did you put two outside plats on handle inside out .... :-)
hi jody can this be done with gas welding brazing rod? thanks for the videos. always learning new tricks. take care. pete
Hello Pete, they are not the same. The gas welding rod has additives in the alloy to protect it from corroding under intense heat. The TIG wire does not have these because they are protected by inert gas. Also the silicone content of the gas brazing rods is just 0.1%, and the TIG rods have 3.0%. More info on these here: TIG: www.lincolnelectric.com/assets/global/Products/ConsumableEU_TIGWires-LNT-LNTCuSi3/LNTCuSi3-eng.pdf and for gas: www.lincolnelectric.com/assets/global/Products/ConsumableEU_AutogenousWires-LNG-LNGI/LNGI-ENG.pdf . Greetings
Man i like speedtacking
can you do video welding copper nickel?
Nice.
Jody, when are you gonna do the giveawayfor the AHP alpha tig 200. I'm actually thinking about buys the same machine. but I was just curious on the giveaway?
Love watching you build stuff Jody, ya make it look easy, thanks for another great vid WeldMonger.com
Good
Do you think the Ahp would fit on that cart? They are on the long side, sent him a e-mail,and never heard back and i know you have had a Ahp.
Sorry about that. Are you Sean? If so, I tried replying to your email but it got kicked back to me.
Yes thats me,I know the Ahp is longer,we started building our own,as we are puting the tig and plasma side by side.Probably by your wire holders and a pedal mount as we are using 1" tube, thx!
Sounds good, thanks!
id love to see a picture of it. I have and want the same. you,re idea sounds good
no rod holder?
Nice cart but hes Nuts for $400 bones for a cart that needs to be welded together.
I think its too much too.
It's worth it.
I have a $120 Eastwood welding cart. It's flimsy because it's held together with 1/4" screws. It only holds a Q-sized bottle. The bigger filler metal tubes won't fit in the holes. My Everlast PowerTIG 185DV won't fit on the bottom shelf. I can't take my consumables box out of the middle shelf because the leads from my welder get in the way. If I want to modify this welding cart, I'll have to sand the paint off. It's made out of C-channel, which is difficult to sand. The metal is thinner than 16 gauge. For a $120 cart, yes-sir, it's a fine product.
But at the end of the day, the ZTfab cart with a couple 150 C.F. bottles and 10 different kinds of filler wire, and a couple shelves holding all of your consumables, it's a beast of a cart.
I recently picked up a Miller Tig welder and have very little experience with it would it be possible to mig weld?
No, two different machines
+fastsofaracing I understand that but is it possible to weld and make it look decent
+Prototype _ well of course if your good at TIG.
+fastsofaracing LoL ya I know that but my Tig welds look like ass.
+Prototype _ mine did at first. Practice Practice Practice.
This will set you back $400!
that is so damn cheap
Yeah. It's really nice, but zero chance i would ever spend $400 on this. I have way more fun finding scrap at recycling yards and designing/welding out my own stuff. For $400, I can do 5 or 6 projects.
But, I'm sure there's a market for it, so more power to them.
+Theball Player We share the same sentiments
I can't get silicon bronze wire in Czech Rep.. they sell it for MIG brazing on a spool and it's 0,8mm thick. The only braze i can get is brass wire for "normal" brazing with oxy-acetylene
Just buy on Ebay
+user12345 thought about that but the shipping will double the cost :/
tomstr21 Are there no welding shops near you? surely they could order you some?
buy the mig one, fold it in 2 or 4 or what diameter you'll need.
It's like they don't know it .. I can order it from "wire making" place- what diameter I need even what exact alloy but that would cost some money ..
thats a really nice cart but holy crap its expensive. there is no way im spending $400 on a welding cart.
Coloca legenda para o Português , PLEASE
What Gas were you using for the entire project? Also I learned that you can go downhill with a brazing rod. Never knew that.
$400 for a bunch of lasercut and bent sheet metal?
Rather invest 1/4 of that in aluminum and design my own. Isnt that point of welding? Our own fabrication?
sexy!
Sorry to say but I'm not very impressed with this cart. I know your quality of welding an brazing is excellent but the cart design looks poor to me. Just another mass produced cnc cut parts production cart. Sorry just my opinion. :(
I love silicone bronze . I weld everything with it unless people specify what they want. but I haven't had anyone come back
